@vallablooded [Megan]// (cont. from here)
“Still, it’s for the best if we try to to be careful,”
A small frown forms on the man’s lips, knowing the Noble at least managed to evade any danger from the previous battle, but still feeling concern for her well being. After all, what would they be if they lost their leader? Skilled as she may be, she isn’t indestructible, none of them are. Had she fallen in battle, then not only would the army be left with no leader, but their attack would have probably fallen apart. At least, he thinks, close calls are better than actual injuries, or even worse, fatalities. Robin thinks to himself that perhaps he should organize a brush up on training and protocol techniques for his men. Maybe then. they could lower the amount of dangerously close calls they’ve been having lately.
Robin releases a sigh he had been holding in his chest, relaxing his posture in his seat. He is tired, and the stress of the day hadn’t totally left the young man yet, but he knew he needed to try and relax a bit now. They are out of battle now, after all, and he can deal with ways to better himself and his men in battle later.
Turning his gaze over Megan, a small smile then forms on his features.
“...You know, I know it’s been really hard lately. The battles we’ve been having to endure--that you’ve been having to lead us through...It’s really been hard on everyone, but I’m glad you’re our leader,”
The young man shifts in his seat again, still offering the female his characteristic benevolent expression.
“Honestly. It takes a lot to keep a cool head in the heat of battle...And had you not done exactly what you did back there, it would’ve been much worse...”
