this is simply not true. "they're not obligated to" actually, yes they are. they have contracts that include marketing. they talked about this in interviews before. that's the whole reason they did so many lives during lockdown, bc they had to for marketing purposes. the film industry doesn't really make contracts anymore that don't have a clause about needing to promote the project. I think the only ppl that don't have to, are the ones that do not have any social media, or good enough lawyers to get out of that. but promotions are part of the job nowadays.
