Marine Meat Monday: Lucius mid-Heresy.
@legiopraesagio found this perfect bootyshort-sign and I had to use it.
Lorgar holding Zardu Layak for a special Marine Meat Monday
Happy Pride Month!
I am currently reading the new Layak-novel and so far I am very happy with how well McCormick gets Word Bearers!
But I am vividly remembering the GREAT first half of "Lord of Excess" and how horrible the second half was. So I am adding to every chapter "It's great - SO FAR!"
Yeah, I'm hoping for the best! My second favourite Legion deserves some good writing. They already got "Apostle", but I'm greedy and need mooooaaar!
Dude is doing basic cosplay, while I'm over here being the Lord Commander Primus!
Look at him! Look at Eidolon!
It's not about looking like the mini, it's about getting the essence of the char! 😁
Yeah, he should wield a hammer - but I'm playing him as prot-warri, so no two-heanded weapon. But if I am switching to Arms-warri, there's a great option ...
That's him! Eidolon in a nutshell!
The Night Haunter has strong goblin energy.
(the magenta triangle in the back is the Screamer of Tzeentch - or at least its wing - that @vlka-fenryka crocheted for me)
Marine Meat Monday but more romantic.
Lucius and Saul pre-Heresy again.
please which book was this drawing based on 😭 me and my girlfriend need to know desperately https://www.tumblr.com/tagedeszorns/806790557241425920/marine-meat-monday-dropsite-massacre-kh%C3%A2rn?source=share
The novel is called "Dropsite Massacre" by John French. It's a rather new one (published 2025 for the first time) and it's a really nice read!
Have fun! 😎
let's fucking go we will be objectifying these warriors. Thank you so much
Well, there's a LOT of 16th Legion sexy-content (Daddy being so damn charismatic!) and a LOT of 12th Legion angsty content and there's no fun to be had all around! (Except Calpurnius, of course. Sometimes) 😁
Appius Calpurnius is in a chamber of bright light and sharp edges. The grey is gone. He can see everything, sense everything: the multicoloured liquids chugging through tubes, the scratches on the chirurgeon array hanging from the ceiling, the blood mist drifting through the air. Everything. It floods his senses, overloads his nerves. It hurts. Oh, but it hurts! It is glorious.
I love Kakophonii!
Totally falling for Horus, too.
‘Hear this, my sons, hear those words in the mouths of those who come to kill us. You know them. We all know them. We all share blood with them and have seen that blood shed on the same battlefields. Are they not our brothers? Are they not our kin with whom we have waded through fire and death, whom we have counted as the best and truest of companions?’
Weak points are the waaaay too long tank battle (maybe all three fans of Iron Hands can enjoy it?) and French does the "Emperor's Children soooo depraved! We hatey! They did this to themselves! Boooo!"-thing that's unfortunately fashionable with a lot of authors.
But else this book is one of the best from 2024 and 2025.
Okay, Tumblr. I'm giving up. You've won.
Flagging posts with NO visible genitalia, just because there is skin? That's so idiotic I don't have words for it.
Fuck purity culture. Fuck body hate. Fuck fascism. Fuck this dark timeline we are forced to live in.
Look! It's an Erebus-nipple! Flag it! Quick!
Marine Meat Monday: Oleander Koh having fun at Commorragh.

Sanakht is afraid of Lucius.
And rightfully so. (Technically he didn't stab his last boyfriend. But close enough! 😁)
@legiopraesagio is the Indiana Jones/Lara Croft of perfect quote-material!
Marine Meat Monday: My roleplay char Quintus Cantus, a.k.a. Noise Marine-chan.
He likes classic music (mostly techno and eurotrash), mathematics and screaming.

Imperial Guard Meat Monday special: Ferik Jurgen.
Because I made the Luggage/Jurgen-meme. Here's the stinky boy himself. Cain's fragrant aide. His charming chauffeur. He would make fast friends with Plague Marines.
When Discworld meets Warhammer.
It's Monday!
Marine Meat Monday!
Only the freshest Space Marines will do! Buy one, get his entire dysfunctional Warband on top for FREE!
So here's Lucius again. Because I really love the Eternal menace.
Version without Modesty Nurgling can be found here.
But do we have any record of space marines dying of old age?
Nope.
In Nick Kyme's salamand trilogy, they find a Salamander from the heresy, his joints have fused with age, he can barely move... But he's still alive... And arranged his brothers armour to form a prophecy.
But some of them have kept up better than others!
Apparently being able to constantly do, what they are made to do, keeps them fresh - like the other Salamanders who defended the Chalice of Fire until recently.
But it's no guarantee. Siggi was rather run down when Abaddon met him.
The guys inside Eyespace aren't even aware of the correct passing of time, so they are very fresh and agile senior citizens.
It's like with the Primarchs: GW let their authors run free, so we have both mortal and immortal Primarchs and mortal and immortal Astartes.
I'm going with the muscle-theory. They will wither and atrophy when not in use.
So the Legion Wars were like bingo night for the rebels. So much fun!
what is the singular form of emperor's children?
Because emperor's child sounds wired
I do not believe there is a singular term.
@tagedeszorns am I right?
That's such an interesting question!
If you are going by the canonest of canon (the Codex), there is no singular form. It's not explicitely said, but in the whole book it's always Children. Very carefully placed. So I think it's intended to be used as a plural-only form. If referring to a single warrior, it's always "One of the Emperor's Children" or "an Emperor's Children warrior".
I checked the ususal suspects, but in all the Fabius, Eidolon, Lucius-novels - no singular. Same for the heresy and the new guys, Xantine and Tamaris. No "Emperor's Child".
But! There are instances they refer to themselves as "Child of the Emperor". Both in mocking and sincere ways:
The pathetic creature had picked at a scab deep in Torachon’s psyche, and now his wounded pride bled freely. It was he who had been bred to be the most perfect Child of the Emperor.
And
‘I am a Child of the Emperor,’ Xantine replied. His smile didn’t reach his eyes.
Both quotes from "Lord of Excess"
Also, some demons refer to them as "Child of the Emperor", too:
‘That was not the bargain, Child of the Emperor. The way is open for you alone, or not at all.’
From "The Perfect Son".
But those instances of a singular form seem highly specific to certain situations. So it should be safe to say, that "Emperor's Children" is a plurale tantum.
