Mental illness is something everyone preaches that we need to talk about but is rarely taken seriously. Since I was thirteen years old, I have been dealing with bipolar disorder. And today was the first time a doctor didn’t discredit me and prescribed me the right medication. That’s seven years of on and off suffering. I am so internally happy by the idea that I might be able to manage my emotions that I haven’t felt guilty about anything in hours. A lot of people will say this is too personal (and that’s why this isn’t on facebook lmao) but I can’t contain how happy I am right now 😭💕
