I know everyone and their mothers are going to be posting about Jax's eyes the split second he woke up during his near-abstraction, but I'm way more interested in what this revealed: How it feels when somebody abstracts.

He's Happy. He's genuinely tranquil. All those people who abstracted, in their last moments of despair and anguish, slip into a deep, serene sleep that they never wake up from. There's something morbidly beautiful about that.

Pendleton's Pentious' backstory! Do you think that Pentious is covered in eyes bc there's no way he could turn a blind eye to anything anymore? He's not allowed to "unsee" anything. It would make a lot of sense.

I will say that Pentious did inadvertently help Jack the Ripper murder more people. I think that was more of the reason rather than inaction. The whole thing of his attempting to save his friends was freeing himself from the shame and guilt of his past inactivity. I think that was what ultimately made him redeemed.

Hopefully, that makes sense. I'm sleepy 😴 Also, yes, his human form slaps!

The way that his pupils dilate within moments is almost robotic. Like he switches to more of a “default” setting rather than his true feelings, which further shows him trying to erase his humanity. It’s creepy, I love it.

I also like that in a series that focuses on conflicts between humanity and Digimon, Gulus Gammamon, the ultimate antagonist, does not give two fucks about humans. He gives exactly one fuck about one human, and the rest do not even register on his radar. There is a very real chance that he wouldn't have bothered the humans at all if his plans had gone through, beyond the collateral damage caused by the Digimon fleeing from him.

Gulus is the literal embodiment of the "I have had Hiro for half a day and if anything ever happens I will kill everyone in the digital and human worlds. Not my self, I'm on a mission but everyone else." Meme.
