@taildraggersinc
It’s not perfect, but I think it looks pretty good.
If you can’t tell, it’s a de Havilland Beaver in that Pacific Northwest art style that I don’t know the name of or anything about. I hope this doesn’t offend anyone.
Awesome
Finally.
Almost back in the air?
A friend came out and took some awesome photos of the Skybolt!
All photos (c) Michel Reynard. Used with permission.
First off, I stole this picture from the Antique Airplane Assn's FB page. Please follow them on FB. Lots of great content. The reason I'm posting this is because I LOVE the paint scheme. I'm thinking I might do something very similar in my Baby Ace.

Vacation starts in one hour. See ya'll later.
I can’t even begin to say how many people helped me out on my trip. They let me push the Stinson into their hangars. They fed me and let me stay in their homes. The WAAAM even gave me ten free gallons of avgas. I didn’t know these people. They just saw a young girl with a taildragger and holes in her shoes and they wanted to help her out.
I thought I was going to have to do this on my own. But somehow I got the entire pilot population of the Pacific Northwest on my side. I seriously start tearing up when I think about how nice they were to me. They all said that they were just “paying it forward”
This is exactly what will keep aviation alive. It's not just a bunch of disconnected pilots. It's a community of passionate people, sharing the thing they love with anyone who shows even the tiniest interest.
All this WWII heavy metal on my feed this morning has me reflecting on the simpler side of aviation. Exhibit A is an Easy Riser built by John Moody, rightly known as the father of ultralights. This photo is from Sun-N-Fun 2010. Picture credit goes to Martt Clupper, from his Airpigz blog: http://airpigz.com/blog/2010/4/17/35-pix-from-early-saturday-at-sun-n-fun-2010.html
N16N Another pic stolen from Barnstormers.
FOR SALE on Barnstormers. Not mine, unless someone wants to loan me $20k.
Cut from an old magazine, origin unknown, but I believe it to be British (found of the net). I just liked the picture of the Monocoupe.
You're welcome.
Sea Duck
Does anyone like grass? I sure as hell do! Grass runways probably the coolest thing to land on besides water. Just a short trip from KFRG, Republic Airport to 23N, Bayport Aerodrome. Was pretty awesome, though pattern entry was weird for necessary reasons of course. (Aircraft flying: Cessna 152)
Grass is best. Well, at least when the weather is good.
Excellent
