‘Twas the Night Before Cuties

‘Twas the night before Christmas and in a deep sleep, Kubi was dreaming soundly, making no noise, not even a peep.

A dream of good friends and good cheers, for better days and better years.

His excitement spurred when the seven Mons approach, seven wonderful cuties all ready to coach.

Aria, the Dragonair, gave a big gripping hug, Sonata, the Flareon, making sure he was snug.

Requis, the Lucario, hug was more like a crush, Fuga, the Braixen, was poking him, making him blush.

Elegy, the Lopunny, pulled him into her fluffy chest, Medelie, the Mienshao, held his arm, he was feeling quite pressed.

Cavatte, the Snivy, gave him a loving stare, too many cuties, Kubi woke with a scare.

He breathed heavily and gave a great sigh, but then felt crowded and wondered why.

Kubi was startled to see that in his big bed, all seven were there, with him instead.

He felt their love, all warm and cozy, he loved them so much, even if they were nosy.

Happiness with friends is where he loved to be, Kubi closed his eyes, his mind filled with glee.

“Goodnight you cuties,” Kubi then said, but his eyes shot open, he didn’t own a big bed.

    “Auburn! Hey Auburn!” The pink cat bounced up and down around the sleeping Eevee. The Eevee named Auburn stirred slight as she tilted her head towards the Skitty and opened her eyes slightly.

    “Yes Ava?” reluctantly looking at the hyperactive Skitty.

    “Wake up! I wanna play!” Ava bounced left and right, not holding still even for a second. The tired Auburn stretched out her paws and yawned as she rises from her spot on the ground.

    “What do you want to play?” Auburn asked sleepily, still not fully awake.

    Ava began circling around the Eevee, “I wanna play tag!”

    “Alright, but on one condition,” Auburn grinned mischievously.

    Stopping in place and tilting her head slightly, Ava asked, “and what might that be?” Auburn approached the Skitty and slowly placed her paw on the cat’s head.

    “Your it!” She declared and proceeded to race away from the Skitty, who now was happily chasing after Auburn.

    Elsewhere in the house, a braixen named Mags was cleaning the room for when their trainer Layla comes back. Dusting, straightening up the books on the shelves, and tidying up the room was very important to him. So when the two came scampering into the room, it was understandable that he would be annoyed with them.

    “HEY! Don’t you two create another mess that I gotta clean up.” The two stopped in their tracks, Auburn looking especially ashamed of herself. Ava, however, proudly stridded up to Mags and poked his leg with her paw.

    “Your it!” she declared, the Braixen none to happy about this.

    “I am not going to play with you, I have work to do.” He turned back to the shelf of books he was currently arranging.

    “Come on Mags! You know you want too!” He just rolled his eyes and continued to focus on his work.

    Ava, the cunning cat that she is, slowly moved up close to the Braixen and whispered into his ear. Immediately Mags froze in place and slowly turns his head to her.

    “You wouldn’t dare…” he glares back at the smiling cat.

    “If you play with us, then I will forget about it.” That smile from Ava looked innocent, but Mags knew that smile meant trouble if he didn’t comply.

    With a heavy sigh, he mumbled, “Fine,” before looking at Auburn and calling out, “Hey Auburn, come here for a second.” Reluctantly Auburn approached Mags.

    “…Yes M–umph,” she had been interrupted by Mags putting his paw into her face.

    “Your it,” he grinned. He and Ava then dashed off leaving Auburn behind.

    “HEY! THAT WAS A CHEAP TRICK!” Auburn yelled as she chased after Mags.

    Layla walked up to the porch and took out her keys to unlock the door. While doing so, Layla could hear sounds of a commotion going on inside the house. Once the door was opened Layla was greeted by both Auburn and Mags currently running away from something. The two Pokemon froze in place, shocked to see Layla. Ava came bounding into the room soon afterwards.

    The Skitty looked over to the door and smiled brightly as she ran over to Layla and with a quick bap to Layla’s leg Ava declared, “Your it!” Layla looked to the other two who looked nervous and then back to the very proud Ava.

    “Oh, so I’m it am I?” she asked slowly, making Auburn and Mags nervous. “Well then… I guess I better… GETCHA!”

    Ava smiled brightly as she began to dart away from Layla. There was no way Ava was going to get caught, after all, she was the bestest tag player ever!

AUTHORS NOTE: Okay, this took way to long to do and I am sorry! I promised to write a story for @ask-team-fancy-pants, like 2 years ago. This isn’t even the original pitch either. I changed it as I was so depressed after last year that I didn’t want to write anything that had negativity. So, this is for you @ask-team-fancy-pants! I hope you like it.

Also, that header image took me 4 hours to do on Photoshop and it was me just trying to figure out how Photoshop works. It is traced over images of Auburn, Mags, and Ava, though Ava’s is two images.

Anyway, this is a fanfiction based on @ask-team-fancy-pants. I do not own these characters, but I will happily write about them.

Come Dance With Me

    Skeith and Mingle were looking up at the night sky, marveling at the beauty that was the universe. On the moon of a planet, a spectacle of shooting stars raced by. The warm glow of the planet’s surface added a calming charm to what was this place’s light show.

    Mingle turned her head to Skeith, who was in awe of the scene taking place. As she watch Skeith, a thought popped into Mingle’s head and she began to rise up from her resting place on the ground. “Have you ever danced before?” Mingle asked.     “Huh?” Skeith responded, looking over at Mingle who was now floating above the ground.     “Have you ever danced before?” she repeated.     “I have not,” Skeith rose up from the ground, watching her other half curiously. Mingle beamed happily and began looping around in circles in the air while Skeith merely raised an eyebrow at these antics. Mingle looped one more time before zooming over to Skeith and picking her up and floating up into the air.     “Hey! What are you doing?!” Skeith yelled, flustered by the sudden embrace. Mingle move back a bit, but held onto Skeith’s hands.     “Come on! Let’s dance! Let’s dance!” Mingle overjoyed with the thought.     Skeith broke away from Mingle’s grasp and looked away ashamed, “b-but I don’t know how…”

Skeith had lived a life cursed to her destructive fate ever since she was born. She never gave time in her life to enjoy the simpler things. Anger, malice, and hatred were what she had spent many years pursuing. Now that she’s reborn all that painful emotion are gone, but with the curse gone, she found that most of her skills only extended to be destructive in nature. To Skeith, asking to dance was like asking a gardener to be a rocket scientist.     Mingle, understood this and with a gently smile and outstretched hand, “Then I will show you how.”

    Mingle’s voice was calm and her words were soothing to Skeith’s emotional turmoil. The words spoke from the unbreakable bond they had. No matter what happened, Mingle would still love Skeith. Mingle would always be there to help her, guide her, and love her through any problems she faced.     With optimistic hesitation, Skeith slowly reached out her hand and took Mingle’s. Mingle pulled Skeith in slowly, putting her other hand behind Sleith’s back. Skeith copied Mingle and the two began their dance, slowly swaying back and forth. Mingle takes her hand still holding Skeith’s hand and spins Skeith closer into a warm embrace. Their heads so close to each, both being able to see themselves in the others eyes. This moment was just for them, and for them alone.

    I want to write more, but I am still recovering from my writer funk I’m in. Anyway, this short little scene is dedicated to creator of @omniandco and @asksavel for creating such beautiful stories. They were recently feeling pretty down and I wanted to give a gift of my own to them. I can’t draw, but I can write and I hope this will at least brighten up your day.

A Golden Tomorrow

In the dead of winter, a couple of Ninetails stay in their burrow hidden in the forest. There they watch over the egg of their soon to be born child. The mother is curled around the egg to keep it warm and the father is watching the entrance for intruders. This a special day for them and it all begins with a cracking sound.

The mother looks to the egg with a smile waiting to greet the new Vulpix. The father hearing the sounds, rushes over. As the shell falls, so too does the smile of the mother. Her expression changes to horror and the father’s to confusion. In the egg was a shiny golden vulpix instead of a normal colored vulpix.

“Why did this have to happen?!” the mother yelled out as she moved away from the child. The father approached her looking at the fur coat of the child, “Maybe he’ll grow out of it?” “YOU DON’T GROW OUT OF A CURSE!” she snapped back at him.

She moved towards the entrance of the burrow. The father confused picked up the child by the nape of the neck and followed after his lover who was outside now. She was looking away from him and the child.

“It’s easier to pretend it never happened,” she said as she looked back to her lover, “than to live with the shame of a golden child… leave it behind and let us leave and never look back.”

While the father felt that this was wrong, leaving the child to die in the snow, there was only one thing that he loved. He placed the child in the snow and the the two left the area. The cries from the child were ignored or not heard by the forest inhabitants.

—————— In the same forest, was a shrine to a divine being long forgotten lived a Ninetails named Suzukaze, though she preferred to be called Suzu. She had found this place long ago and made it her home. This place now serves as a place for Suzu’s connection and guidance of her goddess. Suzu also kept the shrine open for those in need of shelter and a place where Pokémon would go to ask for guidance.

Today was just like any other day. There had been no visitors and Suzu had already gotten supplies for this winter so there was no need to leave the shrine. Or so she thought. However, life, much like her, works in mysterious ways.

While watching snow fall from the front door to the shrine she felt a presence within in the forest. It was faint and slowly dying down, but it was strangely familiar to Suzu. Intrigued by this strange sensation she ventured out into the snow towards the source.

It had taken some time for Suzu to track down the source as the connection to it had faded out as she got closer and closer. There in the snow was the source she felt. A new born Vulpix, abandoned by its parents. The poor thing had died in the snow. As Suzu moved towards the child visions started to bombard her head.

“Zora” the Umbreon called out. …YOU. Strong emotional feelings rushed Suzu. She knew this Umbreon. Why did…

Another scene attacked her as she continued to move towards the child. “You came,” Suzu smiled as the Umbreon joined her. The Umbreon sat next to the Absol, “of course.” SHE LOVED YOU. Another emotional surge rushed into Suzu’s mind. Was this her…

Her line of thought was cut off as she stood over the child. A vision of the Umbreon lying in her own blood. SHE DIED. The Absol screamed out in pain, anger, and sadness. … The vision faded back to the real world and Suzu could feel the tears on her face. It felt so real to her.

“…ix” Suzu’s eyes snapped to the Vulpix who had moved just a little. The child was still alive. YOU LET HER DIE!

NO! Not again! Suzu picked up the child in her mouth and ran towards the shrine. ‘Not again!’ she repeat over in her head. Faster and faster she moved, her speed picking up the snow from the ground.

Suzu used her psychic powers to open the door and ran inside of the shrine. She then again used her psychic ability to grab the wooden logs she had gathered for winter and place them in the fire pit in the middle of the shrine. With a quick breath of fire from Suzu the logs were lit.

While this would help warm the place she would need more things to warm the child up. She brought blankets over to her with psychic and then wrapped them around the child. Suzu then wrapped her body around the blankets and the child hoping that she could still keep the child alive.

Suzu kept watch over the child, but stress and worrying from what had just happened eventually dragged her into a deep sleep. It wasn’t until much later that a small movement later woke her up. Suzu looked down to see that the child was still breathing and was starting to wake up. “Welcome to your new home,” Suzu said quietly as she nuzzled the child.

The Flames of Hell

It had been sometime since Honey had taken the place of Uxie and became the Guardian of Knowledge. Normally a patron like Honey would never be able to take the Spirit Guardian’s place but somehow she did it. However, it was not by peaceful means. Honey committed an unimaginable crime by killing Uxie and severing the reincarnation process of Uxie and forcefully taking the position as her own.

Honey gained the infinite knowledge from being a Guardian of Knowledge and now resides in her temple. Many of Honey’s friends and family have tried to talk her out of it and bring back Uxie, but she only scoffs at them and stands firm as the new Guardian. The council that governs the world has talked about it but, none wish to upset the balance any further than it already has been. The two other Guardians are angered by Honey, especially Mesprit who already had a grudge against her for losing his brother, both knew that killing her would destroy the balance of the world.

No one dared to challenge her because of the council forbidding such acts. So, Honey laid on her throne undisturbed until a lone Skitty approached her temple.

Honey looked up to see that some Pokemon had entered her domain. She stared at the Skitty as it walked cautiously towards her.

“Oh my, such a brave little cutie has entered my temple,” a gleeful grin appearing on the Flareon, “so what can I do for you sweetie?”

The Skitty hesitated, the enormous amount of fear catching its breath, “I have come… to gain knowledge.”

Honey slowly got up and leaped down from her throne with a delicate grace of a Gardivor, while her eyes were like an Arboc ready to catch its prey. She moved very sultry like towards Skitty, with each step deliberate and planned. The body sway slowly, but purposely as watching her was like losing yourself to the motions.

“Oh, looking for knowledge are you?” her movements highlighting her face as the focal point as she continued to playfully flirt, “You’ve come to the right Flareon.”

Again there was that fear crushing down on Skitty, however the distance and emotional investment was too much to quit now.

“I want to know how to stop you and bring the Honey I know back!” Skitty yelled out, breathing heavily as just saying that was a death sentence.

A menacing grin and little chuckle as the Flareon began to circle Skitty slowly.

“I see, well then let’s cut right to the point,” the room getting so scare that Skitty felt that even Arceus’s Judgement wouldn’t even brake this tension.

“To stop me all you have to do is defeat me. However…” Honey paused as she continued to circle Skitty.

“…However…” the Skitty gulped.

The blades of teeth showing vividly on Honey’s face, “I am still me and nothing has changed. I have always been expanding my mind in the pursuit of knowledge and it just so happens that the only thing stopping me from going any further was Uxie.” Honey was now back face to face with Skitty.

“So your only option is to fight me,” Skitty prepared for an attack, but at that moment a glow underneath caught Skitty’s eye and what was under the Skitty was a glowing circle. Before Skitty could do anything a pillar of flames sprouted out of the circle consuming Skitty.

Cries from Skitty were short lived as the fire seemed to take the air out of the Pokémon. The flames torched like if hooks were pulling at every part of the skin. Intensity of the heat overwhelmed the poor cat that if it continued any longer and Skitty might as well be dead.

Just as sudden as the pillar came into being so to did it disappear. Fire dispersed from the pillar and Skitty fell to the ground charcoaled and severely injured. Air had now come back to Skitty, though each breath was an agony of its own. There was no point in moving as it was not even possible with all the pain. All Skitty could do was watch Honey intercept her prey. Honey bit down on Skitty’s neck, who gasps from the pain, and lifts Skitty up off the ground with her teeth.

The show was over and it was now time to send the guest home. Moving towards the entrance Honey the looked down the long steps leading down the temple and with a flick of her head she tossed Skitty down the stairs. *thud* *thud* *thud* Skitty body goes as it hits the steps and moves on to the next step. Finally the body was at the bottom and Honey smiles to herself.

“If you’re still alive after that come back again! I would love to play with you some more!” Honey then laughs as she heads back to her throne.

Skitty still alive but barely holding on looks to the temple facing it. ‘Honey…’ Skitty cries in its mind as the Flareon walks away.

A Regretful Reunion

Question asked from FireballRachel: What happened on your first dungeon?

Honey stared up to the sky, “I… I don’t know…”

(Flashback Start)

Honey was wandering the Forest of Grudge. She had barely been able to avoid all the rogue Pokemon in the area and it still didn’t help that her only move that affected ghost was Bite. Most the time Honey had to run from fights leaving scapes on her while twigs and leaves clung to her hair. This was really starting to be a big mistake coming here, but she was determined to press forward. Nothing would stop her… except the sound that came from the bushes. Honey’s eyes darted to the bushes and she crouched low to the ground ready to attack or flee if the foe was to strong.

“My, my. What do we have here?” Honey eyes quickly darted behind her, terrified that someone had gotten behind her. Her gaze fell upon a sinister looking Espeon with a corrupted looking jewel in her head. The Espeon was laying on the back of a Luxray, a Pokemon that wasn’t supposed to be here, due to this forest only being full of ghost and psychic types.

The Espeon’s gaze was hooked onto Honey, never faltering. There was something wrong with how the both of them presented themselves that gave Honey warning signs she needed to get out of here. However, the two looked as if they had cornered their prey and if she turned her back on these two to escape she might end up dead.

“You’ve grown up quite beautiful my sweet Honey.” the Espeon said her teeth revealing the jagged sharp blades that they were. Honey however was more stumped at what the Espeon had said.

“W-Who are you?” she called back at them.

In both unison the two replied, “We’re your parents!” The Espeon had a gleeful smile as she closed her eyes happy and the Luxray just continued to stare unmoved by this event.

Honey tried to rationally process this but, her mind was in complete shock.

“But here you are, my little Honey…” Honey now noticed that the Espeon was now not on the Luxray any more. Instead she was right next to Honey. Chills started to roll down her back as the Espeon began to circle her.

“You were just the cutest egg me and your father ever had and I…” the Espeon stopped circling Honey and turned to face her with a gleefully insane smile as she continued, “should’ve crushed you as an egg…”

Honey mind was shattered and she needed to get out of her now! However her state of mind could not prepare her for the sand that was thrown into her eyes. She was blinded and then felt a sharp bite in her neck followed up by an electric shock that flowed through the fangs. Honey was then thrown to a tree and then lifted up and thrown into another tree. It was clear that they were playing with her.

“What’s wrong my little “MISTAKE”? Having trouble fighting back against your mother!” The venom in her words were burning into Honey’s mind… ‘I was a mistake?!’ Honey was lifted again and thrown to the ground, the psychic type showing her superiority here. A paw stepped onto her windpipe and she felt another heavier presence on her holding her down.

“Time to fix this little mistake once and for all.” Honey was losing consciousness fast, but before her eyes lost sight she saw the two leap off of her before blanketing out into the sheer coldness of the darkness.

“GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!” The tail of Shale smashed into Luxray, while Espeon dodged out of the way, sending him flying, however, that wasn’t enough to take him down as he got back up. Luxray quickly looked to his wife who gave him a smile, which prompted him to retreat into the darkness. Shale picked up Honey keeping a close eye on the smiling Espeon and cradled Honey close to her. Shale’s eyes glowing a fierce yellow.

“Defending a shiny trash like her, you really have lost it Shale,” the Espeon cackled viciously. The Espeon she gave a quick glare to Honey and Honey reacted as though she was in pain.

Shale let out a Hyper Beam destroying the area where Espeon was standing. She looked to Honey to see if she was still okay, which thankfully she was still breathing.

An echo chill came from the forest, “I will be back again, my little mistake.” The forest began to laugh and Shale pulled out an orb she had brought with her and used it’s power to escape the forest.

A Nightmare within a Nightmare (unedited/unfinished)

  WARNING THIS FANFIC CONTAINS BLOOD, PARTIAL GORE, AND IS A HORROR STORY.

  There are many secrets in the world of Equestria and this is a tale of how one of those many secret came into the possession of a certain purple unicorn. A shadow like orb, an orb of complete darkness that seems to consume all light around it. It is this orb that holds a dark creature that was sealed away forever. Until today.

"Ugh... What happened?" Twilight said, as she woke up in a room of complete darkness. She got up and looked around, but could not find anything that would help to identify where she was.

  "Why it seems my player has finally awoken!" echoed a deep and very enthusiastic voice.

"What's going on?" Twilight called out, "What is this place?"

  The room then filled itself with the booming laughter. "For a pony who called me you sure are slow, but then again they all are."

Twilight was starting to get mad, "Look I don't know what you’re talking about?!"

  "*sigh* Well I expected that; you ponies just don't ever seem to know what you're getting into when you touch my orb."

  "Orb?" Twilight thought hard and realized that she indeed did touch an orb, a black one, before she felt her mind shutting down and passing out. "Wait so that orb brought me here?"

  "Bingo! We have a winner!" the voice said taunting her. "That is correct, so now that you know, shall we begin the game?"

  "Look I know I touched the orb out of curiosity and it brought me here but, I have no intention of play games, so can you send me home," Twilight asked.

  "So does this mean that you forfeit?"

  "Sure, whatever, just send me home." Twilight said as she waved a hoof dismissively.

  "Alright then," the voice said happily, "I'll claim my prize, your body, and together we will set destruction on Equestria and if you have friends we can have them share in the pain as well! Oh and when I meet your family it will be so fun!"

  Twilight froze cold, "What! No, you can't do that!"

  "Then you will play the game if you don't want to lose your body," the voice stated firmly with no excuse or room to object from Twilight. Twilight was now scared, what had she gotten into? The room then stared to change from the nothingness to a cliff that overlooked a forest.

  "The rules are simple, just head over to the temple over there," the forest then parted and lead a straight path to a temple in the middle, "and stand on the altar inside. While on your way to the altar you will need to find away out of the game or you will lose. I will be telling if there are any special things that you should be aware of. Oh and do be aware as there are things in here that will stop your progress. You will have to fight them, defeat them, and maybe even kill them."

  "I refuse to kill!" Twilight yelled at the voice. She wasn't going to have this thing control her even if it had forced her into this 'game'. She heard more laughter and then it faded away. Twilight stood there looking around her nervously, trying to see if she can find the thing that sent her here.

  "Twilight!" called a familiar voice that she knew. Twilight turned to see Rainbow Dash flying towards her.

  "Rainbow! I'm so happy to see you!" Twilight ran over to hug her as she landed.

  "I'm glad to see you too," Rainbow Dash said surprised to see her so clingy, "What's going on?" Before Twilight could tell Rainbow Dash about the mysterious voice and game, the voice came back and spoke, "An obstacle has appeared... Eliminate it!"

  Twilight looked around but, did not see anything other than Rainbow Dash. Was this obstacle invisible? "It seems that you will need help dealing with it, so I will take control."

  Twilight then felt her body start to move on its own as her head was now forced to look at Rainbow Dash. She then felt her horn being used and suddenly Rainbow Dash starts to scream in pain. Twilight quickly looked to Rainbow Dash and was horrified to find out why she was in pain.

  Rainbow was being pushed to the ground and her wings were being pulled into the air by a magic aura that Twilight could identify whose aura it was. She could identify it because it was hers. She was the one who was trying to hurt Rainbow Dash's wings.

  "Rainbow Dash, oh how I've long to put you in your place," Twilight felt herself say.

  Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight confused as to why she would say or do this only to be with the most terrifying face she had ever seen. Her friend now adored a smile of pure insanity that made her tremble. This new Twilight was different than the one she had talked to just awhile ago, there had to be some reason that Twilight was doing this!

  Rainbow Dash tried to speak but, instead screamed as her wings were forced in a way that was threatening to break them.

  "You're always crashing into my library and ruining my books! You’re annoying, a jerk, and you're worthless!" Twilight could feel her heart breaking as she was forced to say this, "and I'm going to end this annoyance now!"

  It happened almost in slow motion as Rainbow Dash's wings made that bone chilling crack. It was sickening, but it was not the end as Twilight felt her magic throw Rainbow Dash of the cliff. She felt the control release and she screamed out for her friend.

  Twilight ran over to the edge, but Rainbow Dash had disappeared into the forest below. "Why... why... WHY!" Twilight yelled. She then heads down after Rainbow Dash to see if she is still alive.

  As she gets to the forest the voice then says, "You must continue the game otherwise you will lose."

  "Leave me alone! It was you who made me hurt Rainbow Dash!" she yelled.

  "Even so you need to continue as another on of your obstacles' is headed your way and you don't want to kill her to do you?"

  Twilight want to give whoever this was a good kick, but it was right, she had to keep moving if more of her friends were here.

  As she continued into the forest the voice then said, "Beware the forest has many dangers." A bush then starts to shake which cause Twilight to jump. Out the bush jumps somepony she wish was never here... Fluttershy.

  Fluttershy was breathing heavily and looked as she was running from something. "Fluttershy..." Twilight whispered wondering if she should run or help her. Fluttershy heard Twilight whisper and turned to her.

  "Oh Twilight! Thank goodness I found you!" she said that she ran over to Twilight. Twilight hesitated as Fluttershy came over to hug her.

  "You're a fool to come near me," Twilight felt herself saying. Fluttershy flinched for a moment; the cruelty in her voice was unusual. Why was Twilight being so mean?

  "Twilight..." but before Fluttershy could say anymore a giant plant comes out of the forest. The plant then opens up showing a mouth like head with a tongue like vine that quickly grabs a hold Fluttershy.

  "Oh good, it looks like I don't have to deal with you after all," Twilight smiled relieved that soon another bothering pest would be dealt with.

  Fluttershy held to a tree as the vine tried to pull her to it. She was about to ask Twilight to help, when she notice something weird, she was crying. Her expression was that of hatred, but her eyes showed sadness in them.

  "If there's one thing that I hate about you is that you are pathetic! You're annoying apologetic nature drives me insane!" Twilight yelled angrily. Fluttershy's grip was starting to loosen and Twilight could tell she wouldn't be able to hold on. Twilight wanted to help, but again it felt as if something was making her not move.

  Twilight smiled and turned away as she said, "Well at least I won't have to hear you mumble anything anymore."

  She then heard Fluttershy's grip give and then she heard her say, "It's alright Twilight, you..." She was cut off and the sound of the plant moving away.

  When Twilight was able to move she turned quickly, but couldn't see or find any trace of Fluttershy. She fell to the ground in tears. "I've had enough of this! Your horrible control on me has made me lose another friend!"

  The voice responded, "I don't know what you’re talking about. I never said that I was taking over and that is part of the rules."

  Twilight stood up and yelled, "You're lying!"

  A chuckle was heard, "Think what you want."

  Her horn glowed bright as she tried to cast a detect spell so she could find out who it was that had put her through this hell. Before the image in her mind of her culprit started to come to focus, the red glowing eyes of the creature opened up and broke her spell sending her backwards to the ground.

  This time the voice was not pleased and it was like each word was threatening to crush her very being with no remorse, "I hope you do not try that again, as I'll have to kill you even if it's not part of the game."

  Its words were like weights being put her back pushing her to the ground crushing her as well as crushing and stopping the air from her neck. Cold fear went through Twilight's mind as she had never felt so much tremendous amount of power in just a simple act as speaking. Whoever this thing was it could easily remove her from this life if it wanted to.

  "I suggest you head north as that will lead you to the temple," the voice and it's presence lift. Twilight gasped and coughed as air returned. She felt like she wanted hide in a corner from this monster and pray that someone would save her.

  "I have to keep moving..." she told herself. She then ventured in the direction she was pointed to and as she continued, she soon found a clearing and the temple she had seen.

  Its structure was that of a cloud like shape and four statues of demon like creatures leading to the entrance. The statues were each bear a demon of which was more hideous and cruel looking than the other statues. The statues also depicted something that made Twilight almost throw up.

  Each statue showed the demons feasting or murdering ponies. One showed a pony in fear as it was held in the hands of the demon and watched another pony being torn apart by two snake like heads. Another showed the a large armored behemoth slamming it's sword like weapon on to a pony cutting it in half as well as it's collection of pony skulls tied to it's belt. A third one showed a plant like thing lift a pony with its vines into the air and bring it into it's giant maw. The last one was a skeleton like demon holding a grotesque puppet like thing that was made out of ponies sewing together.

  Twilight looked to the ground to avoid looking at the statues as she passed them. She looked up to the temple to see that it too was a demon, though what it was, she could not tell. The Temple was this black mass that almost seemed to be alive. The entrance was it's mouth and up above it were blood red gemstones for it's eyes which watched the entrance.

  She was thinking of maybe turning back when she heard a loud sound. She turned to see that a pair of stone like hands that had previously been just lying in the ground were closing in on her. Twilight had to go into the temple or risk being squashed. She leaped into the temple as the hands closed up the entrance and she was surrounded by darkness.

  Using her horn she light up the room with its glow. There was a hallway that was leading to another room and as she entered the room a stone door appeared from behind and closed up the room. Twilight jumped and looked to the door, "It looks like I'm being forced forwards..."

  The room then suddenly lit up and she heard a voice that made her turn and try to break down the door. "Oh! It's Twilight!" "Oh you're right. Twilight darling, whatever are you doing here?"

  It was her other two friends, Pinkie Pie and Rarity. She had to get out the room now or she was going to have to kill them to. She charged up her magical energy and fired it at the door, but it stood there unharmed. "Twilight are you alright? You act as though you are not happy to see us," Twilight heard Rarity say.

  What to do, what to do? She had to get them out of her way. "Stay away from me! I don't want you near me!" Twilight yelled, though saying that wasn't easy to do.

  Suddenly a flash of pink appeared in her face and she soon saw Pinkie Pie looking at her face to face. Pinkie Pie smiled and said, "Why so glum, chum?"

  "Pinkie I..." but before she could say anything, that familiar control overwhelmed her. She turned around away from Pinkie Pie and saw that Rarity was looking at her concerned. The control seemed strengthen even more making it feel as if the control was shoving her into a far and dark corner of her mind. To Twilight she was now unaware of her actions, but she could still hear hers and the other's voices.

  "Buzz of you pink little pest." Twilight said.

  Pinkie Pie just laughed, "It sounds like someone’s a big grumpster today," Pinkie Pie said happily and giggly.

  Rarity on the other hand was shocked that Twilight would say something so mean to Pinkie. "Twilight, are feeling alright?"

  Twilight smiled very creepily that it made Rarity stumble back a bit, "I will be once I get rid of you two."

  "Oh! Are we going somewhere? I love trips they're so much..." Pinkie was cut of as Twilight magic grabbed and threw her hard into the wall. Rarity was about to called out to Pinkie when Twilight grab a hold of Rarity's neck with her hooves and pinned her to the wall.

  Rarity let out a gasp of pain but, then was unable to say anything due to the amount of pressure being put on her neck. Twilight then moved her head closer to Rarity, "What's the matter cat got your tongue? How about I rip it out so you don't have to lecture me on my fashion!"

  This was wrong so very wrong. Rarity didn't know what was wrong with Twilight and she knew that Twilight didn't intend for her to live. She was about to close her eyes when something odd caught her attention. Twilight had tears running down her eyes even though expression was so cold. Rarity could sense an overwhelming amount of sadness in those eyes that told her, that Twilight was in pain.

  She needed to do something, her friend was suffering and she wasn't going to turn her back on Twilight now! Rarity moved her hooves gentle to Twilight face which caused her to freeze and ease up on Rarity's neck and allow Rarity to speak. "Please don't cry darling, I don't want to one of my good friends to be in pain," Rarity spoke with kind and gentle words.

  The words hit Twilight who was still in the darkness and loosened its grip on her. Twilight ran desperately to gain control of her mind but, just as she felt control she was thrust back into the darkness. She cried out to Rarity in her mind as she felt her body give the killing blow.

  Twilight's hooves had crushed Rarity's neck with a sickening amount of force that had been enhanced by her magic. She felt her body let go and she could her Rarity's body fall to the floor. "Twilight..."

  Pinkie Pie had gotten up and was staring at her friend who had now just killed Rarity. "Twilight... please..." she pleaded. Twilight grabbed Pinkie with her magic and lifted her into the air.

  "What's wrong Pinkie? I thought you liked playing games?" Dark Twilight said, with a grin on her face, "I'm going to play your favorite game! Pop the balloon or in this case the Pinkie Pie." Pinkie started to feel immense pressure inside her as it started to push from the inside out.

  "Twili... ah... ju... ah... ile..." Pinkie was desperately trying to convey something to Twilight.

  "I'm sorry I couldn't hear what that was?" Dark Twilight then loosened the pressure on Pinkie so she could speak.

  Pinkie still feeling pressure spoke with a happy but, pained face, "Twilight just smile." Dark Twilight started to laugh.

  "I must have crushed that tiny brain of yours for as you can see I am smiling." Pinkie shook her head and pointed to Dark Twilight's eyes.

  "I don't mean you," she said kindly, "I mean the Twilight who is lost in the darkness. Twilight could not believe it, how could Pinkie know that she had been the one who was in front of her.

  "Well that's a silly question, it's because I know you Twilight." Pinkie Pie said with a faint smile. Twilight felt like she was going to cry.

  "Pinkie I..." she managed to say before the control was lost. Dark Twilight then continued with her magic on Pinkie Pie while sing a sadistic song. "All around Ponyville, the pink pony is annoying, she wouldn't shut up so I blew her up." Twilight screamed for her to stop.

  Dark Twilight closed her eyes as a sickening pop sound was heard and warm liquid, which Twilight could assume was Pinkie’s blood. “Pop goes the Pinkie.” Dark Twilight said as her control on Twilight started to disappear. Twilight fell to the ground the tears streaming out of her eyes, but she dare not look. “Shall I lead you to the next room?” the voice said sounding sympathetic.

  “Can’t I just go home? I’ve had enough...” Twilight cried and pleaded. The voice responded, “I’m sorry, but the game has not ended.” Twilight then felt her body move but she keep her eyes closed. After a while of walking the voice then said, “I have lead you to the final room, let us see how it will all end.”

  Twilight opened her eyes she was in a hallway filled with gray pony statues with dark black armor each holding a spear. Up ahead Twilight could see a lite room with a reddish glow to it. “Twilight! Thank Celestia I caught up to you.” Twilight wished she had never had heard her voice, Applejack’s voice. Without looking Twilight then yelled out, “STAY AWAY FROM ME!”

  Applejack continued to approach Twilight slowly, “It’s alright sugarcube.”

  Twilight ran over to one of the statue and grabbed a spear that the statute held with her magic. She then turned to Applejack with her eyes closed and the spear pointed at Applejack. “Stay back Applejack! I’ll kill you if you get any closer!” Twilight yelled, though her threat sounded more like a plea.

  Applejack continued to move closer and Twilight knew she wouldn’t stop her advance. She had to make her stay away. Twilight stabbed at the direction of Applejack with the spear hoping it would stop her, but something else happened. Twilight felt the spear hit something... no... she didn’t...

  She then felt Applejack wrap her hooves around Twilight’s head and bring it closer to her body. Twilight opened her eyes to see her head was now resting in Applejack’s chest and Applejack petting her head slowly. “It’s okay Twilight... you don’t have to be scared or sad anymore...” she said though she seemed to be having trouble speaking.

  It was then that Twilight noticed that the spear had gone into Applejack’s side. Before Twilight could say anything Applejack covered Twilight’s mouth with her hooves. “I’ve been following you and I know what you’ve done.” Twilight tensed up, ‘she knows?!’ “It’s okay,” Applejack said sweetly, “I know you didn’t do it. I know that because I know you Twilight. I know you... would never do anything to hurt us Twi... uh”

  Applejack’s grip loosened as she fell to the floor Twilight quickly went to Applejack. “Applejack! The spear making you lose blood! I-I’ll get it out!”

  “Twilight... It’s okay...” Applejack said putting her hoof on Twilight, “I need you... to do... something for me.” Twilight didn’t want this, she didn’t want her to die, but the spear was buried in deep. If she pulled the spear out, it could make the situation worse.

  “Applejack please don’t talk... I’ll get...” Twilight was interrupted as Applejack said, “Twilight! *cough* *cough* please... just do this... for me... wake up.” Twilight looked at her confused, what did she mean wake up? Applejack cough more violently Twilight getting more worried.

  “Applejack, stop it’s alright just rest I’ll think of something! Don’t die! Don’t die!” Twilight said panicking, she had no idea what to do or what spell could help her but, she had to think of something. Applejack hoof still on Twilight started to loosen. “Please... wake up... ple... wake... up...”

  It was then that Applejack’s hoof fell to the ground and her eyes closed. Twilight scared called out her name, “Applejack!” She called out her name over and over with no response.

  This was too much, Twilight collapsed on the ground in tears crying harder than she had ever cried. She had lost all her friends because of this stupid game. If should could have fight the control she could have saved them or stop herself from...

  Twilight looked up fury on her face. It was this creatures fault! It made her kill her friends and watch them die! "You made me kill them! You made this horrible game! YOU HORRID MONSTER!"

  There was no response at first, but when the voice did respond it was laughing. "I have no idea what you are talking about. I did create this game and I did have you kill three of your friends, but the other two was your own doing."

  "YOU LIE!" Twilight yelled. The voice responds back in tone so fierce that shakes the ground and makes Twilight cower in fear. "I DO NOT LIE LITTLE INSECT! I have played by the rules of the game and have not taken control of you without a warning or telling you. You watched that yellow Pegasus be dragged off, you said all those things to your friends even the rainbow one, and lastly," the voice paused and changed from annoyed to happy, "you killed the last pony with your own hooves."

  "No..." Twilight said, realizing the voice was right.

  "In fact that was so much fun that I think I'll add more obstacles," the voice said happily.

  Twilight cried out, fear and tears in her eyes, "No! No more! No more!"

  "Then let's end this shall we?" Torches in the hallway lite up leading to the room at the end of the hallway. Twilight followed and walked into a giant room that looked to be a stadium of some sort and in the middle of the room was stairs leading to some sort of stand.

  "Head on up and finish this little game of ours." She started to climb the steps one by one until she had reached the top and realized what the stand was. It was a gallow and in the middle was a nose hanging there. Did the voice mean to... "yes, you're going to hang yourself."

  Her mind became a complete mess of thoughts protesting against this, but there was one thing that battled those thoughts and was slowly winning. "It's your fault that your friends are dead and you know it."

  A tear streamed from her eyes, the voice was right. She did kill them. It was her magic that ended their lives. "I never wanted to kill them," she choked out the words.

  "You can make it up to them," the voice said and Twilight felt as if she was starting to be swallowed up in its words.

  "How?" She asked afraid but, desperate for an answer.

  "Your answer is in front of you."

  Twilight looked at the noose swing back and forth as if beckoning her. She stepped up to the noose and put her head through the noose. Then with the glow of her horn there was a click and the floor gave away.

  Twilight's eyes opened to see a worried Spike by her side. "Twilight! Oh thank Celestial!" Spike said giving Twilight a hug. She smiled and hugged Spike back, "It's alright Spike I'm fine now." Twilight looked around to see she was in the Library part of her house.

  The two then heard a knock on the door. "Oh right! I wrote Princess Celestia since you weren't moving for hours," he said and ran over to the door. Spike opened the door and there stood Celestial looking as clam and poised as ever. She looked at Twilight still lying on the floor and the black orb on the table next to her.

  "Spike do you mind going and telling Twilight's friends that she's alright. I'll watch Twilight." Celestial commanded. Spike nodded and head out the door and Celestial walked in and shut the door.

  "You show up after so many years just to cause more havoc. Why are you here!?" Celestial said staring straight at Twilight with demanding glare.

  Twilight started to laugh her normal voice slowly changing to a demonic male voice. "Oh dear Celestial, however did you know it was me?" The voice said Twilight's eyes now turning pure black.

  "I asked why you are here."

  Twilight shrugged, "I personally have no idea why I'm here but, I know why I'm out of the castle. A blue unicorn with such a wonderful grudge decided to take me from the castle.

  Celestial pondered what unicorn he was talking about but, had no time to focus on that to long. Twilight's body was starting to glow with dark energies. "Your student is quite intelligent, it's just a shame she never realized she could just win by waking up."

  "I'm pretty sure you used her fears to win your game like always."

  Twilight just laughed, "Of course I did! What game would it be without killing the ones you love? What's even greater is she thinks she really has killed them. She will continue to blame herself forever and even if I gain a new body she will still be stuck in that state of regret."

  "Not if I can help it!" Celestial said with her horn glowing bright. A beam shot out from her horn at Twilight but, was blocked by a shield of darkness that was created from the aura surrounding Twilight. Twilight horn started to glow black as the voice spoke, "You should know that your magic is no match for the most powerful unicorn in Equestrian!"

  Celestia looked around to see that the room had been engulfed in darkness. She looked back to Twilight whose eyes glowed white and the dark aura glowed a dark purple. Twilight smiled, "It's time that you and I re-unite together and have some fun with your loyal subjects!"

  Celestia stood her ground, "You will not control me. I have played your game before and defeated you and I will defeat you again."

  Twilight laughed, "This time you will fall! I finally have something to bring you to your knees and it just so happens to be in this very unicorn."

  The white alicorn who had faced many evils and smite many foes had never showed any signs of fear, till now. She backed up looking for an escape route, but of course all her exits were blocked. "YOU'RE MINE!" Twilight shouted as a mass of purple aura shot from Twilight and entered Celestial.

  The world and time went silent the darkness dissipated from the room and Twilight fell to the ground released from her captor. The controller of the sun stood there as if a statue to the world. A gentle light started to shine from the alicorns body as she slowly opened her eyes. "It's good to be back," a smile forming on her lips.

Rainbow Dash's Heartwarming

Twas Heartworms Eve and up in the sky stood a house made of clouds and a blue pegasus that could fly. It was once again the day that pegasus disliked the most, it was the day in which she lost her folks. There had been a terrible accident in which she was caught in a storm, her parents tried to protect her and now she mourns.

The rainbow mane mare laid on her bed, crying for her parents and wished they weren’t dead. In the house she stayed, alone and sad, but over at a Pinkie party things were looking quite rad. At SugarCube Corner, the place of amazing sweats, is where the Dj Pon3 spun her beats.

Everypony having a wonderful time, but Twilight Sparkle sensed a crime. Twilight noticed that something was wrong she noticed that one her friends was gone. With panic in her mind, she knew who she had to find. Applejack was somepony who could help her out, she would know what this is all about.

“Applejack have you seen Rainbow Dash? I would think she would be here in a flash.”

“I’m sorry Twi, I’ve seen neither head nor high”

Pinkie breaking the fourth wall came out of nowhere holding a piece of cake and a beach ball. “Oh you guys don’t know, Rainbow Dash won’t show. Every year on Heartwarms Eve she stays at home and never leaves.”

Applejack gripped her hat, “Why would she do that?” Pinkie said she didn’t know and had to go. With a zip and hop she disappeared and then reappeared by the DJ dancing with a mop. With no where else to turn Twilight decided to ask Fluttershy and see what she could learn.

In the back corner all shy was the yellow pegasus who looked like she was about to cry. Twilight approached Fluttershy with caution and care and hoped that she wouldn’t flee from there. Asking the question, Fluttershy responds that she knew what was going on. She said this day was a tragic event where Rainbow Dash was left to lament.

Her parents had tried to protect her, but what happened after that was such a blur. Rainbow awoke with her parents on the ground, she called out, but there was no one around. It wasn’t until later that they were found, but some things are never quite sound.

Twilight teared up inside she never knew the sadness Rainbow hides. She probably was trying to play it strong, but now she knew what was going on. With an action in mind she set up a plan and called all her friends to lend her a hand.

The next morning with tears on her bed from last night that she had shed. Out of her room, she saw something jawing, her friends in her house and Fluttershy pawing. Rainbow Dash said with a shock, “What are you all doing here?” And oh, she had socks. (Why was she wearing socks you might ask? Well shut up, or Santa won’t bring you toys in his sacks.)

Twilight spoke with kind words, the ones in which Rainbow never heard. “We wanted to wish you a merry good year, so that every day you’ll be filled with good cheer. It might be sad that your parents are gone, but not everything has to go wrong. You have us who will stay true and never leave you when you are blue. Because we are a family who love you so and will never want you to leave or go.”

Rainbow tried to play it cool, but her friends knew better and were no fools. They knew she about to cry, so they came over and dried her eyes. Then her friends gave her a big hug and the warmth of their love made her feel real snug.

So I thank you all for taking the time to ready something that sucks at rhyme. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good cheer and hope to see you all next year!

Before leaving, Celestia had warned me that all though the town is empty, there is still is a presence in the town. I’m assuming that the colt that attacked me lives here, but why? With a deep breath, me and Soarin fly into the town. The buildings in town where still damaged by the fire years ago. Some buildings had been rebuilt, but even they were in disarray. While the other building were still burnt and looked as though they were attempted to be patched up. Though there was one building that remained unchanged and I knew whose house it was. Mine. At the very focal point was the charred remains off my home… and the death place of my parents. I looked at with sadness in my eyes. “It’s as if their still here,” I said to myself. A warm hoof wrapped around me and drew me into the warmth of its body. I looked surprise to see Sorain holding me close to him. “Spitefire stay close to me and don’t leave my sight,” he said protectively. I felt my heart skip a beat as he held me close. I then heard a sound behind us. I turn around to see… spirits? A crowd of see through ponies stood behind us and had begun to surround us. “It seems the fire demon has come back to finish burning down our town!” a commanding, but familiar voice called from somewhere off in the distance. The spirits moved towards me. I was confused and scarred, and so backed up but, as I backed up Soarin moved in front of me. “Soarin…” I said about to tell him we should leave when something grabbed me from behind. I looked to see more ghost ponies had appeared and had closed off our escape. Before I could even say a word the ghosts jumped at us and in an instant it went from ghostly white to black. “Welcome home,” the voice said sarcastically and with hint of malicious glee. I woke from the darkness that had swallowed me to a room filled with candles. I tried to get up but, I found that I had been strapped down to a stone table by ropes. “Ah, you’ve awaken. Great we can begin,” the voice said eagerly. I looked to see that the pony, who attack me, was now next to me. I looked around to see that Soarin was in the room in a cage and he was just waking up. “Soarin!” I called to him. He immediately got up and looked to me then to our captor. “You! Don’t you dare touch her!” he angrily yelled. The unicorn smiled and then moved his head close to my stomach and said, “Oh, do you mean like this?” He then ran his tongue from my stomach all the way to my face. My body shudders violently and I could see his joy from my reaction. “You taste so wonderful! Oh how I would love to play with this body of yours, but sadly we must begin.” He then used his magic to float over a knife and pointed it’s blade at me. Soarin started to try and break the cage by ramming it as he screamed for him to stop. I yelled at him panic, “Who are you and why are you doing this to me?!” He stopped the knifes advance and then said,” Oh goodness me I forgot to introduce myself again! I’m Necrotin the necromancer and since you’re about to die I might as well tell a story.” He then walked away from me and took the knife away as he started to pace back and forth as he began his story. “Where to begin? Ah I know. It all began with story of a mare who can set things on fire. Not only that, she happened to be a pegasus. This information was so interesting that I had to look into it.” “Sure enough when I arrive I did see her use her magic. It was simply amazing, her body incase flames as she scarred of one of the villagers. That magical energy, I had to have it for myself! So I stalked the filly. in the shadows watching and waiting.” His grin got wider as he spoke, “that day came when she accidentally let loose her power. A simple spark so very very small but, so powerful! I used that spark on the nearest thing I could, find her bed. Oh did it burn so wonderfully. I had to keep the flames burning; I had to make it burn more! That’s when they showed up.” “…no,” I realized what he was talking about, “you didn’t!” He smiled widely, “oh yes I did! Oh, how they burned! It was magnificent, their screaming, their agony, and their pain! Search music to my ears it just makes you want to laugh!” He then started to laugh manically. “It burn so much that soon I had to leave! The fire quickly spread to downstairs and soon to the oil! BOOM! Fire quickly spreading everywhere, onto the other pony’s houses and everything burning! Burning! Burning! Burning! BURNING!” He then looked at me with maddening joy, “I wonder if you burn!” He then grabbed a bottle of latern oil and started to pour it all over me and the table. I struggled even more as I felt that greasy slick stuff coat my body and my head. He then went levitated a torch and light it with the candles. “STOP! DON’T HURT HER!” Soarin yelled. I froze with fear as he brought the torch close to me. Was I going to be burned to death? I watched as the torch fell upon me and the flames light everywhere covering me in flames. The heat of the flames threatening to consume me, but never doing so. “Not burning huh, well then how about this!” I then saw the knife appear from my flame prison and plunge right into my chest. The piercing in my chest was unbearable and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I soon felt the flames finally consume me as I drifted into the darkness. Darkness was my entire world, it was all I could see, feel, and hear. My body felt cold as if its flame had been snuffed out. Was this going to be forever? Had been born to be a monster with no paradise awaiting me after my death? “No child, it is not your time.” I looked to see the sheriff of Haysville as well as others who I had meet at Haysville. “We may have treated you wrong but, you are not the monster. It’s that unicorn is the one who is a monster!” said the mare of mayor Haysville. “He killed us one by one. Letting no one who knew about you live,” said a young filly. “You must live young one! You must live!” the sheriff said and soon all the ponies of the town started to fade into the darkness. “Do not blame yourself anymore…” was two voices I knew so well that I couldn’t help but, tear up. “Mother! Father!” I woke up to see that I was still on the stone table but, the ropes were goon and the whole room was on fire. “Soarin!” I called out worried he might have… I heard him cough and turn to see that the cage was blown open. He was suffocating due to all the smoke that was collecting in the room. I got heading over to him when I noticed that the unicorn had set himself on fire and looked as if he had burned to death. The flames were getting intense what could I do? I was going to go grab Soarin when a piece of the roof fell in front of my face making me take a step back. That’s when I noticed that the flames shifted when I took that step. I moved to Soarin and saw that the flames moved as well towards me. I looked to the hole in the roof and saw that we could get out from there. “We are out of here Soarin!” I said as I picked him up and put him on my back. “You’re not going anywhere,” the unicorn choked out. “If I can’t have you then no one can!” His horn started to glow and then I felt a strange pain in my side. I looked to me side to see he had marked me with some type of magic symbol. He laughed and soon his laughter faded away as he was consumed by the flames that were now heading for me. “Hold on Soarin!” I yelled as I spread my wings and shoot through the hole in the roof. The night sky greeted me with its coolness but, that was interrupted by the flames that were still chasing me. I flew faster but the flames still chased after me. Soarin started to shift around as he was waking up. “Soarin… I can’t escape them… But at least I can protect you.” I flew to the ground, landed, shook him of onto the ground, and then quickly took to the air. I heard Soarin yell out my name but, I had no time to deal with him. Higher and higher I flew, hoping that the flame would tire out. I passed through a group of clouds and as soon as I came out a top of them I looked back to see if it was still following. Waiting there was the tensest thing I have ever done, but soon I noticed it wasn’t coming. Letting out a sigh of relief, I soon shifted myself to head back to Soarin when I heard a monstrous sound. Out of the clouds popped the biggest fireball that I had ever seen in my life. It was so enormous that at the rate it was moving I wouldn’t be able to get away. Tears fell from my eyes as I know I was doomed. “I’m sorry for being a burden Soarin, mother, father, everyone…” I closed my eyes as I waited for the inevitable. A thought then popped into my head, at least I had saved Soarin. I smiled happily knowing that at least he could go on. “A loving mother and father will always protect their children,” the voice of my parents echoing in my ear. I opened my eyes to see that my parents spirits were in front of me and my body glowing from blue flames that were coming from me. My parents turned around to face me, “We love you Spitfire and always have.” The fireball then engulfed everything and my vision turned to white. When I could finally see I was on Soarin’s back as he walked to the next town. I tried to move but, was exhausted from the ordeal to get off him. “Good you’re awake. Now I can tell you how much of an idiot you are instead of it being vice versa.” I felt sad at his harshness; I had dragged him into this mess of mine. “I…” but before I could continue he then interrupted me. “I was worried about you. Promise me you’ll never let me leave you alone,” the concern in his voice demanded that I comply. “…alright Soarin, I won’t every leave your site,” I smiled and then moved closer to his ear, “especially at night.” I could feel him thinking about dumping me off as he blushed madly. I laughed and soon he joined into as he continued to carry me to the next town.

A Fiery Past Part 2/3 Picture by Ventious http://ventious.deviantart.com/   I grew up in a small town of Haysville with my parents when I was young. It was an average living but, my parents made by with selling lanterns and oil to travelers and the towns folks. During that time I had gotten my cutie mark, but how I got it surprised many. No one could guess that a pegasus like me would gain the ability to create fire. Magic had always been something only unicorns can do. So when I had gain my cutie mark by bursting into flames while defending a pony getting bullied, ponies start to distant themselves from me. No one wanted to talk to me afraid I’d set them on fire or something. I then started to distant myself from them by playing their role of me being a monster. I would scare any who got close to me with fire, but would never try to hurt them. My parents would always wonder why I never had any friends and my mother would tell me, “Your magic is gift that not many have. It is also a gift that should never be used for oneself. Fire can be protective and will protect you and others from harm, but it can also be destructive if used improperly.” How I wished I had listen to those words. I was so young that I didn’t understand my powerfully. I never meant to any harm, I was just mad and I didn’t think that a single spark of flame could do so much damage. How could I have known that the little spark would end up burning down my house and my whole life with it? I had just had a fight with my parents about my action with other people and how I would threaten to burn them. They sent me to my room, but I wouldn’t be there long, as I always snuck out. As I was leaving through the window to fly off, I swished my tail angrily which created a little flame spark. I had always know that when I was anger I would create a flame around my body. It was as if I was feeding the flames with my anger. When that happens, I would always leave and find a cloud away from Haysville and vent my frustration by flying or by laying back and looking at the sky. As I came back from my dream world, I noticed that there was smoke coming from Haysville. I decided to head over there to see what the smoke about and as I came to the hill overlooking the town, I could help but, to be in shock. The sight before me was unreal, it was as if this was a horrible dream and I would wake up soon. I so wish it was a dream. On that hill I stood there as I saw that the whole town had caught fire. Why?! Why?! WHY?! Why did this happen! I flew fast to the town! Everywhere was on fire it seem liked and everypony was trying to put out the fire using the rain from the clouds, magic, and whatever they could use. I started to head towards home when I was stopped and grabbed by the local sheriff. “Where do you think you’re going you little fire demon?!” he said angrily, his grip tight on me. “Let me go! I need to go home! I need to see mom and dad!” I screamed as tried to squirm out of his hold. “Don’t play dumb! We know you that you burned down your own home and killed your parents!” he yelled at me. I stopped moving, “what did you say?” “You know what you did! Your magic was identified as the cause for your house to be set on fire! I bet you planned for the oil in your house to blow and remove all evidence of your activity, but you failed!” As I was hauled off to a secure cell, with gray walls and a metal door being the only way in, I keep thinking about what had happened. I keep saying to myself that this had to be a dream and I would wake up to my parents calling me down for breakfast. Though as time passed I began to realize that they we’re never coming back. At that moment everything faded away. I wanted nothing more than to die. Why should a monster like me live? I had killed my family, burned down my house, and now got thrown into a dark cold cell for what probably will be my prison forever. I had cried so many tears that finally I could not cry no more. I soon found myself not wanting to eat. Sleep was something that did not come, more because after a few nights of dreaming about my parents screams as I watched the house burn. Life around me fades away into nothing… that is, until she showed up. My cell doors opened for the first time and there stood a pony who glowed like the sun in this dark world I lived in. It must be Celestia, I thought, she must be here to bring me my end. “Please, if you come to kill me, make it quick.” I pleaded. Celestia shook her head and with a soothing and caring voice said, “no my little pony, I have come to save you.” Save me? What was she saying? “I’m a monster! I can’t be saved, only punished for what I have done.” I said angrily. She the said with a sad voice which seemed painful for her, “There has never been a thing as monsters, and every ‘monster’ I have come a crossed had wanted to be saved by someone. I’m not going to let you lose yourself as well.” “And how do you plan that?! Can you take my magic away?! Can you go back in time and stop it from happening?!” I yelled at her. She didn’t flinch, not even an inch. “No, but I can give you a new life, a life to which you can start over, to have everything disappear from your memory. I can erase your memories and make it all go away.” I don’t know why, but I accepted or more like I begged her to do it. Maybe as young filly that was the only way out, but now I know that there is no point in running. “Are sure you want to be back here?” Sorain asked as he followed after me. “It’s time for me to face my past.” I said looking from the hill to the ghost town named Haysville.

Your awake, I was so scared that you wouldn’t wake up!” “Twilight is that you where are you?” Rainbow nervously said as she felt around through the darkness. Rainbow then felt two hooves on her one of her hoofs. “I’m right here Rainbow,” she said, though her voices sounded sad as though she was crying. “Why can’t I see you?” Rainbow asked, Twilight had to be at least 2 hoofs in front of her but Rainbow still couldn’t see her. “I’m sorry…” she quietly said. “What happen Twilight,” Rainbow asked her voice urgent. Twilight didn’t answer. “Twilight, what happened,” Rainbow asked getting more aggressive. Still she did not answer. “TWILIGHT, I NEED TO KNOW HAPPENED.” Twilight then started to bawl and Rainbow could feel her head on her body as she spoke, “It’s my fault! I just wanted to go on adventure with my friends, but I didn’t know that there was a dragon living there. If I… if we didn’t use the elements on you then… I’m so sorry Dash! I never meant for this to happen!” Twilight cried hard and all Dash could think of is to hold her. As Twilight continues to cry the memories of the last time she could see came to her. They were taking a hike up a mountain but, suddenly a dragon appeared out of a cave nearby and breathed its flame at Fluttershy. If Rainbow hadn’t pushed Fluttershy out of the way she would have been… “Twilight what happen to Fluttershy,” Rainbow asked now concerned about her than herself. Twilight hiccupped as she spoke, “She’s fine… maybe a little singed, but she wouldn’t have survived if you didn’t jump in.” Dash let out of a sigh of relief, but even with that off her conscious she still knew that her life was going to change rapidly. Rainbow later learned that she was brought Twilight’s room after the incident and that Twilight had stayed by her side since the event. “Well Twilight I’m glad you took care of me but, it’s time for me to head home.” Dash said as she got up out of the bed. “But, Rainbow Dash! You can’t see!” “No I’ve been in your hair long enough and now I mus- OW!” Dash said as she walked into a wall. She turned around to find the ground missing as she the tumbled down the stairs that lead to Twilight’s room. “RAINBOW DASH! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!” Twilight called out as she raced down stairs. Twilight then saw Dash on the bottom floor and she raced to her side only to find Dash crying. “Dash?” Twilight called to her friend reaching out to see if she was okay. “I-I don’t wan-nt this to-o be r-real! THIS IS A DREAM! ALL OF IT! It has to be… What about the WonderBolts?! Why would they except a useless thing like me?!” Rainbow Dash yelled in a sobbing voice, “I’m… nothing anymore…” Twilight hugged her friend tears of her own coming from her. She couldn’t bring herself to comfort her friends with words. Twilight held Rainbow Dash until she eventually feel asleep. “You’re not nothing to me Rainbow,” Twilight whispered her heart aching at what she had done to the one she loved, “it should of been me who was blinded not you…”

A Fiery Past Part 1/3 Picture drawn by http://techdiner.tumblr.com “Well that was a great performance, though you were a little bit off on the timing on the finally Soarin,” I said as start to take of my flight suit. “What are talking abo…” Soarin was standing in the door way with a weird look on his face as he looked at me. “You see something you like?” I joked. He nervously responds, “y-no, I mean…” I just laughed, “It’s alright Soarin; everyone’s is in love with me, maybe even you?” Soarin face went red. “Look if you’re going to make fun of me then I’m going,” he said turning around. My ears dropped down as I lowered my head, “I’m sorry Soarin, I was just playing around. Will you forgive me?” His eyes glanced back to me but, he did not turn around. “I’ll forgive you if you bring me a pie.” I smiled at this. I knew he loved pies; it was his favorite thing in the whole world besides flying. He loved every kind of pie and would always love to try new flavors. “Shall I get it from Crusty’s Pie Shop?” I asked. “Ya, that would be awesome! Thanks Spitfire!” He then happily trotted out of view. I just shock my head and smiled. Getting the suit off I then place it in my locker and closed it. As I headed for the showers I heard hoof steps coming in. “Soarin your gonna have to wa…” I turned around to see a unicorn standing in the room glaring at me. “Oh sorry I thought you were someone else, how can I he-” before I could finish I was lifted up and back first into a wall. I let out a painful cry but, before I could call out for help the unicorn, who I could know see was a stallion with a charcoal mane and a gray coat that looked as if it suffered major burns, pointed his horn at my throat and said, “No yelling my young filly, You wouldn’t want your blood all over my beautiful horn no would you?” “*cough* what do you want,” I managed to say. He laughed and punched me in my stomach. I could feel the wind knocked out me with that fierce punch. “You stupid little mare! Do you not remember what you did to me?! Do you not remember what you did to Haysville?!” his voice rising higher with anger. In that moment the word ‘Haysville’ triggered a memory of a burning town and me on a hill yelling and crying. My world was forcefully brought back by a slap across my face. “Don’t go zoning off on me now! I have many things I plan to do to you before your broken and left out in the cold!” he then looks to my wings, “now the first thing I should do is-“ “Hey Spitefire you about done with your shower?” I heard Soarin say. The unicorn turned his head to the entrance, did have to long till he was spotted. He turns to me and gave me a solid punch to my face before flinging me violently to the ground. “I be back to settle the score you little fire starter!” and with that he teleported out of the room. My vision was getting blurry as I saw Soarin come into the room. “Spit-SPITEFIRE!” I heard him yell as he dashed over to me the room slowly going dark. “Hanging in there! Spitefire! Spitefire! Hey you ge…” his words were cut off by the darkness that enveloped me. I woke up later in a bed with white walls. Next to my bed his head sleeping on it was Soarin. Had he stayed here all…? “How long was I out for?” I said to myself out loud. “About a half a day my little pony?” said a royal sounding voice. I turned my head to the voice to see Celestia stand next to my bed. “Princ-ah!” a sharp pain in my body forced me down as I tried to stand. “Please don’t get up for me,” she said her voice still pleasant yet sad. “What are you doing here?” I asked still shocked that she came to see me. “I tell you later just rest.” she said. “Princess, I need to know! Who was he and what’s the town of Haysville and what did he mean?!” All these question pounding in my head and something off in distance screamed at me that I knew the answer. “Are you sure you want to remember those events?” Celestia asked with a serious look on her face. “…remember… I erased those memories?” I said surprised. “Not erased just forgotten or buried,” she explained. “But why? Why would I want to forget them?” I asked really confused about the situation. “Because you begged me to get rid of them,” she said bluntly. I sat there my world spinning. “I wanted to get rid of them?” Celestia nodded, “the memories that I had you forget had left you devastated and lifeless.” I couldn’t believe it. Had I really had something really bad in my past to make me want to remove my memory? I felt movement on my bed and my mind was brought back and I saw that Soarin had woken up and he was looking at me intently. “Hey Soarin… how long have you been up?” “Enough to catch that you want to remember about your past. Are you sure you want them back?” he said in a serious tone that I have never heard him say to me before. I looked to my bed, but in my head I knew the answer. “Yes, I need to know so that I can make things right,” I said confidential as I looked up at the two. The princess then said, “I’m glad that your willing to take responsibility for your past, but know this that when I unlock them it can never be sealed back up.” I nodded focused intently on her words. Celestia horned glowed and I soon felt everything that was calling me recently be unlocked and in soon I was taken back, back to my childhood.
