I wonder if they want to know what the future holds ? i’ve heard they can be pretty RECKLESS. how typical for a ORIGINAL VAMPIRE. i guess they must rely on their NOBLE side shining through. rumor has it they’re trying to hide HE JUST NOW CAME TO TOWN AND CONSIDERED STAYING AWAY TO LIVE HIS OWN LIFE BUT IS HERE ONLY FOR HOPE, but that’s probably just noise…

his first 12 victims were almost complete and with it the first anchor point for his expression triangle. There had been some surprises such as one of his victims bursting into flame and then walking around the party afterwards, but it was still enough for Kol. It was only when he heard commotion of being trapped inside that he took noticed and wondered if it was a retaliation of his actions for someone to track down who was responsible for the deaths or an external factor. Soon the male was greeted by another. He recognised her, he face one of the first he saw after his resurrection. Soon the name he was dreading left her mouth. “You know your mother would disapprove of you attempting to gain more power” was enough for kol to realise that he had been watched and if she was allowed to escape, his plan would be ruined. In a moment he raised his arm and the influx of power already generated was enough to subdue the female to her knees. As he was about to finish her off, he noticed another in the room.

Elijah wasn’t happy that they were all trapped in Whitmore House, but he wasn’t as upset about it as others seemed to be. Instead, the original was prepared for whatever was to come for it. Having checked on Hope more than a few times during the night while everything happened downstairs, he had made his way out of the room and ended up being in the room as a witch was just about to kill another. He cleared his throat, eyes meeting the male. “I don’t suppose you could save this little... aggression until we’re all out of the house? We don’t need the new vampires frenzied and blood is quite difficult to remove from carpets.”

She found comfort in his words. At least she wasn’t the only one who felt that she had a right to be a little bit protective. She smiled as she watched the two interact, knowing how much he loved her and she loved him meant everything to the wolf. She felt so much closer to Elijah then Klaus which was probably for obvious reasons. But she’d never deny that Klaus had stepped up and he was a good father to Hope, something she was grateful for. “Everyone keeps telling me that but it’s amazing how things change once you have a baby? A few years ago you couldn’t keep me away from a party. Not so much these days.” She chuckled, setting Hope back down with the sitter.
The corners of his lips rise into a fraction of a smile, “I’ll take your word for it.” Elijah was bound to never experience life of fatherhood, but he has seen how fatherhood changed Niklaus for the short time he’s been a father. Granted, his brother still had stuff to work through, he was better now than he was a year ago. He watches as Hayley caves in, setting Hope back with the sitters as his eyes fall upon the other sleeping baby. “I think the two of them will keep each other company.” He nods to the other child before nodding his way to the door. “Why don’t we go downstairs?”

She had come in with Tyler and Jeremy on her arms. That is what they had wanted. And Rebekah was more than happy to make sure everyone knew she had a date… or two. However she was quickly pulled away to deal with something for the event. One of the wait staff bringing a drink to her to try, after someone complained that it tasted bad and the vervain burn her tongue as she tasted it “Throw it all out,” she hissed. That was all they needed tonight. “All of it.”

Elijah was quick to catch onto what was going on, especially when he saw someone react the way one only would when they ingested vervain. He was smart enough to dip the tip of his pinky in whatever drink he was going to ingest just to make sure it was fine. “That’s a perfectly good waste of alcohol.” He falls to his sister's side, looking out at the party goers. There was a lot of people here, any number of them could have done it. “Stupidly brave of them.” He had wondered what their endgame was, if whoever they were targeting were captured or if they were trying to target all of the vampires and if they captured any.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she realized it was Elijah in the doorway. “I may be having some separation anxiety.” She shrugged, holding Hope close to her, walking over to Elijah. “Say hi to Uncle Elijah.” She added, smiling at the two of them. “Tell him that mama is struggling to let strangers babysit me and she checks on me all the time.” She teased, knowing she needed to just relax but it was hard to do given everything happening lately.
“Given how everything started out, I don’t blame you.” No mother should have had gone through what Hayley did and it was as simple as that. While he adored his sister for watching over Hope when it wasn’t safe for her to be home, if things were right in the world - Hope’s place should have been with her parents. Elijah’s smile widens a fraction as Hope looks up to him with a smile, leaning over and placing a quick kiss to the top of her head. His hand finds Hope’s and she takes hold of one of his fingers, the strong grip causing Elijah to chuckle. “Maybe you should tell your mother that you’re safe and no one will let any harm come to you.” He casts a glance to Hayley with a teasing smile.

After spending some time down at the party, chatting with some of the guests, Hayley took the opportunity to head back up the stairs and spend some much needed time with Hope. Picking her up, Hayley smiled as she held her close. “Shouldn’t you be down at the party?” She asked, hearing steps behind her in the doorway. She had hoped no one had followed her up to the room. That was the whole point. @sanguishqsstarters
“I could ask you the same thing.” Elijah comments, light brown hues looking to his niece in her arms. He was down there at one point, mingling with the guests and drinking what wasn’t spiked with vervain until he saw Hayley walk up the stairs to what he had rightfully assumed was the bedroom his niece was currently in.

“Bon Jovi is the better band. I will not have that kid slandering the rock era like that,” She said. Sure, the kid was like seventeen but still. “I can’t believe children nowadays think Coldplay is rock. Unbelievable,”
Elijah listened to all varieties of music aside from metal or screamo, he wasn’t a big fan of that. “When it comes to rock music, I don’t think anything can beat Bon Jovi.” He agrees with a laugh, “And I’m pretty sure Coldplay is pop.” He didn’t listen to Coldplay, but he’s heard a song or two before.

Caroline let out a frustrated groan. “Elijah, are you even listening to me? I mean, I know that I talk fast when I’m excited, but not that fast.” She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath before starting again. “I said that I think that you and I need a bonding day! I’m close with Rebekah, and with Klaus, obviously…but you’re like the mystery sibling. What do you say, come hang out with me?”
An amused smile itches on lips as he looks to Caroline, “You do talk pretty fast when you’re excited.” He pointed out with a chuckle. Elijah KNEW of Caroline through his siblings, he’s seen her around here and there but the two never really had a conversation until now. “The MYSTERY SIBLING?” He laughs at that, giving her that much. “Sure, we can hang out. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a carnival.”

Carli looked at the man. “I am but I don’t think anyone will be,” She said, recognizing the man. “You’re Elijah, right?” She asked him curiously.
“Is there something that we should be worried about?” She seemed to know something was going to happen. “Yes, I’m Elijah. You are?”

“You’re no fun,” she responded with an exaggerated sigh. Her demeanor shifted as did her stance. “Why does it matter?” she asked with a shaking head. “I feel better. Nobody gets it.” Elena figured that nobody will.
“You’re really going to pitch the whole “Nobody get’s it” speech to me? A thousand year old original vampire who’s dealt with more trauma than a person should? Really?” Elijah all but laughs softly. “Your humanity was the best part of you, Elena. It’s a shame you turned it off.”

“And does Klaus know that?” He asked him. “Well I may or may not be teaching Law here now,” He explained. “Plus, keeping an eye on some things,” Those things now included his kids and Rebekah.
“It’s a lifetime commitment, if Niklaus hasn’t figured that out yet that’s on him.” Elijah answers with a one shouldered shrug, “But no he doesn’t know I’m here, not yet anyways.” He finally answers. “Why the sudden career change?”

The picture was dismissed when Elijah had been the one who appeared. “Hm,” she let out as a brow cocked. “Think so?” was retorted as shoulders rolled into a shrug. She looked up at Elijah, a near glare being offered to him. “What’s changed?”
“YOU, obviously.” Elijah wasn’t stupid, he KNEW Elena. The shell of a person she was being now, this wasn’t Elena. “I have lived well over a thousand years, Elena. Let’s skip the games, shall we?”
“SLOW DOWN.” It was a wonder how Elijah was able to keep up with what they were saying to begin with but they weren’t in a rush so they could sit down and talk to him in a normal pace. “You might have to repeat yourself.” Okay, so even when he was paying attention the words left his mind just as fast as they came in. || @sanguishqsstarters

Carli’s hand shook, her hands covered in paint. She couldn’t even remember how she got to them but she found herself awaking in one of the less used common areas of her dorm. She must have been drawing again before there was thousands of flowers she had drawn into the floor, the paint showing how they sprouted in the foresight. “No! No! No!” She tried rubbing it away but it would never go away. | @sanguishqsstarters
Elijah watched as she frantically rubbed tried to rub the painted dahlia’s away, it didn’t take a ROCKET SCIENTIST to figure out that she was upset. He’s seen Niklaus get upset before over his own paintings, he wasn’t sure how to ever calm Niklaus down about it and it wasn’t something that changed now. “Are you alright?”
