i'm still at work so i can't do much but i have been thinking of moving abby over to my multi bc i miss writing him but still feel incredibly icky on this blog. so for now, i think i'll move him there so i can start writing him again.

i really hate to be making a post like this but i've been sitting on it for a while and it's gotten to the point where i either post this or drive myself crazy.

as we've all noticed, i haven't been as active on abby as i'd like to be. he is an incredibly important muse to me ; i love him so incredibly much and enjoy writing him with all of my heart. however, my time here on abby has been tainted by a certain person's presence. i've kept quiet for about two months now and i've silently been trying to deal with this and move past it, but the issue keeps cropping up and it's so draining.

even by doing the right thing and taking the measures to keep them off of my dash because it's my responsibility to deal with not seeing them, sometimes things slip past those countermeasures and it makes me feel really gross. it's been hard seeing people i care about write with them, but i am not the type of person to police who people can write with. this could have been something easily avoided had this person just communicated, but they didn't. it's been really painful because i genuinely did consider this person as a friend and it came out of nowhere.

i miss writing abby but it's so emotionally and mentally draining to get on this blog most days because i hate the feeling of not knowing if i can trust people because of misinformation being spread. i don't want to abandon this blog, but i think a break is much needed. i love everything i've come up with here and the connections i've made for abby, and i don't want to abandon those. i might slip on to send memes and maybe reply to things, but until i can feel safe in my own space again, activity will be incredibly low.

i just want to feel comfortable on my own blog again.

thank you guys for always being so great and supportive. i love and adore you very much.

listen, most people might have been okay with their date being five minutes late - maybe even ten - but aika is not one of those people. she values her time, understands her fucking worth - so for some guy ( a hot guy, but still, a guy ) to ask her out on a date and then have the nerve to be fifteen minutes late? god, she's just about ready to leave and find someone else to take her home. someone that appreciates her, at least.

and yet, as she goes to stand, in he walks - handsome as ever - though she's determined not to let that get in the way of chewing him out. " are you this late to all your dates? seriously - i've been waiting here for fifteen minutes and not even so much as a text? ugh, no wonder you're single. "

arms folded across her chest in annoyed, ruby eyes looking up at him like she's expecting an excuse, an explanation at least. " well? you better have a fucking good reason for making me wait. "

had  it  been  anything  else,  there  would  have  been  a  better  chance  of  abby  getting  there  on  time  .  .  .  but  an  impromptu  dance  rehearsal  at  the  behest  of  jinu  is  something  abby  cannot  ignore.  despite  how  terribly  he  wanted  to.  they'd  been  told  they'd  only  practice  for  an  hour,  maybe  two.  two  hours  was  pushing  it,  but  he  would  still  make  it  onto  his  date  on  time.

rehearsal  ran  two  and  a  half  hours  and  jinu  hadn't  let  him  grab  his  phone  to  text  aika.  abby  had  run  to  shower  and  get  ready,  and  the  only  reason  he's  fifteen  minutes  late  and  not  an  hour  is  because  he  teleported  nearby,  grabbing  a  small  bouquet  of  flowers  from  a  stand.  he  was  so  going  to  kill  jinu  later.

"i'm  sorry,"  he  says,  offering  her  a  bow.  "we  got  pulled  into  rehearsal  and  it  ran  longer  than  it  meant  to.  i  got  here  as  quickly  as  i  could.  if  i'm  lucky  enough  to  get  another  date,  i'll  make  sure  it  doesn't  happen  again."  he  offers  her  an  apologetic  smile  as  he  offers  the  flowers  to  her,  petals  different  shades  of  pink.  "let  me  make  it  up  to  you  tonight."

"what?"  he  sounds  just  as  bewildered  as  he  looks.  "they  just  give  candy  away?  for  free?"  what  did  they  get  out  of  giving  stuff  away  for  free?  head  cants  to  the  side,  brows  furrowing.  "we  need  to  find  one  of  these  parties.  how  do  we  get  invited?  i  wanna  see  what  it's  all  about."  he  stands  upright  as  the  other's  hand  shoots  up  and  he  blinks,  listening  attentively,  leaning  in  a  bit.  "  .  .  .  pranks?  like,  they're  just  okay  with  that?"  a  pause.  "so  you're  saying  we  can  do  pranks  and  get  away  with  them?"  he  laughs.  "sign  me  up."

head  cants  to  the  side,  brows  furrowing  slightly  before  he  glances  at  romance.  "you  want  me  to  fight  them?"  he  really  shouldn't  be  confused,  knows  romance  likes  chaos  just  as  much  as  he  does.  abby  had  just  been  expecting  him  to  be  the  voice  of  reason,  not  wanting  them  to  get  into  trouble.  so  if  no  one  was  going  to  hold  him  back  .  .  .

"were  you  even  trying?"  he  asks,  tone  just  as  teasing.  hand  raises  to  rest  against  her  waist,  fingers  brushing  along  her  side.  "so  what  am  i  getting  as  a  reward  when  i  find  you?"  abby  would  be  able  to  find  her  no  matter  where  she  went,  but  he's  curious  about  where  she  thinks  she  can  hide.  he  leans  down,  gaze  falling  to  her  lips  before  he  looks  back  up  at  her,  pausing  inches  from  her  face.  "do  i  get  to  pick  my  prize?"

"you  want  to  .  .  .  ?"  a  soft  breath  leaves  him,  both  amused  and  annoyed,  though  not  at  the  other.  "sure,  if  you  promise  not  to  tell  anyone  what  happened."

fingers  curl  in  the  fabric  of  the  other's  shirt  as  he  leans  forward  ;  abby  is  never  sure  what  to  expect  from  arsenal  when  he  drinks.  are  they  going  to  fight  or  fuck?  the  kiss,  however,  catches  him  off  guard.  the  question?  well  .  .  .  yeah,  that  kind  of  catches  him  off  guard,  too.  it  isn't  just  the  question  that  gets  him,  it's  the  fact  that  arsenal  is  asking.

abby  is  surprised  he  doesn't  just  do  it.

"hah."  soft  breath  leaves  him  as  eyes  flutter  closed  for  a  brief  moment,  taking  in  the  scent  that  is  arsenal,  mixed  with  the  whiskey.  the  blood  is  normal.  "'course  i  would,"  he  answers  easily,  looking  at  him  through  heavy  lidded  gaze.  there  is  a  loyalty  he  feels  for  arsenal  ;  there  is  .  .  .  something  stronger  he  feels  that  he  refuses  to  put  to  words.

hand  rises  to  slide  up  into  the  other  demon's  hair,  fingers  gripping  onto  short  locks  and  guiding  him  down  to  exposed  neck.  "i'd  beg  you  to  do  it  slowly.  i  want  to  feel  your  teeth  rip  into  me,"  he  breathes  against  his  ear,  allowing  himself  a  moment  to  indulge  them  both.  "would  you  give  me  that?"

Eyes, that affix to her palms ; she recalls, once, blood that pooled in the valley of them both. Hers. She'd tried, a few too many times, to squeeze and pull from irons, that held her tight. It had hurt. It had hurt.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤThe past, felt like another life.

Here, she is free, uncaged. Here, she heals, yet at the same time, it is here she feels hunted. Not by the creatures that prowled the shadows and feasted upon humans, no, it was among them, she felt safer than she had with ANYONE ELSE. Beings that did not see her as a prize ( some as a curiosity, sure, ) that treated her like ... something. Like she was something. Someone, somebody.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ There was little regret, in leaving home.

She looks upon him, as they sit in silence, Abby perhaps allowing her thoughts to run their course, before she speaks. ❝ ... her  question  is  a  bit  of  a  surprise.  abby  knew  there  was  something  on  her  mind,  but  if  he  were  asked  what,  there'd  be  no  way  to  name  it.  if  she  had  wanted  to  bring  it  up,  she  would,  and  he  would  allow  her  the  space  to  do  it.  however,  he  wasn't  expecting  this  to  be  their  topic  for  the  evening.

he  turns  to  look  at  her,  brows  rising  as  he  lets  her  words  sink  in  and  rattle  around  his  brain.  the  demon  isn't  sure  he  knows  how  to  answer  that.  if  it  were  almost  anyone  else,  he  might  brush  it  off  with  a  joke  and  change  the  subject,  but  for  whatever  reason,  he's  never  had  it  in  him  to  be  mean  to  her  from  the  start.

perhaps  it  was  the  way  she  looked  at  up  at  him  with  those  big  grey  eyes,  carrying  this  aura  that  had  taken  him  by  surprise.  there  was  a  vulnerability  in  them  that  he  hadn't  understood,  still  didn't  understand,  but  she  had  also  never  given  him  a  reason  to  be  anything  other  than  nice  to  her.  truly,  that  is  the  bare  minimum  others  should  offer  to  one  another,  yes?

but  then  he'd  gotten  to  know  her  better  and  now  he'd  fight  an  entire  army  for  her.  hand  rises  to  scrub  along  his  jaw  as  he  glances  away,  brows  furrowing  in  thought.  "a  lot  of  people  look  at  the  moon  and  associate  it  with  the  cold.  for  me,  it's  warm  and  secure.  safe."  a  pause  as  he  cards  fingers  through  pink  hair,  glancing  over  at  her.  "that's  what  you  feel  like.  the  warmth  of  the  moon.  you've  also  been  really  nice  to  me,  too.  i  don't  think  i'm  at  all  deserving  of  any  of  your  kindness,  but  here  we  are."

abby  chuckles,  leaning  to  the  side  to  gently  bump  their  shoulders.  a  harpy  and  demon,  sat  side  by  side.  an  unlikely  pair,  but  a  pair  nonetheless.
