Fresh Sashimi Feast! Hand-Rolled Sushi Party with Koda Fish Market Inasa...
Welcome to another delicious adventure with Nogutube Noguchi Takeshi!
In today's video, we are diving into the incredible seafood culture of Nagasaki City to find the ultimate sashimi platter for your next home party.
Nagasaki: The City of Amazing Sashimi Nagasaki is famously known as a "Sashimi City" because the fish here is exceptionally fresh and delicious!
For residents in Nagasaki, it is common to have a favorite local fishmonger for different occasions—whether it’s for a special birthday, a gathering of friends, or a holiday event.
My top recommendation when someone asks for the best sashimi platter (sashimori) is Koda Fish Market Inasa (甲田鮮魚稲佐店).
The Mother’s Day Special Event For this video, we celebrated an early Mother’s Day with a special campaign I found on Koda Fish Market’s Instagram stories.
They offered a fantastic deal for their followers: a high-quality sashimi platter normally priced at 3,000 yen was available for just 2,500 yen!
I quickly sent a DM to reserve ours and picked it up at their shop in the Inasa Shopping District, which even has convenient parking right in front.
The shop was buzzing with excitement, with over 30 orders being prepared for the event!
What’s Inside the Platter? The volume and variety of the fish were truly impressive for the price.
Yellowtail (Buri): Incredibly firm and fatty!
Sardines (Iwashi): Served with green onions, they were amazingly fresh.
Horse Mackerel (Aji): A family favorite that disappeared in seconds.
Hairtail (Tachiuo): Crunchy and full of texture.
Medina/Gre: A white fish with great flavor, even if the kids were a bit shy about the skin!
Tuna & Salmon: Always a hit with the children.
Squid: Fresh and perfectly chewy.
The Ultimate Hand-Rolled Sushi (Temaki) Party We turned this feast into a "Hand-Rolled Sushi Party" at home.
To make it fun for the whole family, we also prepared corn, tuna mayo (sea chicken), meat, sausages, fried eggs, and cucumbers.
Pro Tip for Eating: My favorite way to enjoy this is to take a piece of seaweed, add a bit of rice, place a fresh shiso leaf on top, add the sashimi and a dab of wasabi, and finish with a splash of soy sauce for a perfect one-bite explosion of flavor!
While the kids loved mixing in the sausages and eggs, the adults couldn't get enough of the seasonal, fresh fish.
Visit Koda Fish Market Inasa If you are in Nagasaki and want to experience high-quality, seasonal seafood, I highly recommend following Koda Fish Market Inasa on Instagram to catch their latest deals and fresh arrivals.
