250 days till baby.

Yesterday was an interesting day. I can't actually remember the details but I remember that I woke up angry, which of course, tends to ruin the rest of the day. All of this week I've been working on getting my fmla approved and right after lunch I got the acceptance letter and I left. I hadn't sat down in hours and I'm back to having to set timers to remember to eat so I was very happy to leave. After work I tucked my kids into bed and they picked "Guess How Much I Love You" (again) and I headed out to an Ingrid Michaelson concert. I went by myself and had a panic attack. I met a really nice family that let me hang out with them until I calmed down and as I made my way to the bathroom I saw the 2 most carefree black people I have ever seen. Marissa and Julien. They were in the back of the small venue and they were *jamming*. After this week their carefreeness in a room filled with white people gave me so much life. I hugged them and for the next hour we partied without a care in the world. It was magic.

Now is as good as time as any to come back to Tumblr.

Even though this morning I woke up with the news that the president of the United States is Trump and someone I knew from high school died in a car accident we found out that

Toby and I will be welcoming a third baby July of 2017. 

We couldn’t be more excited considering how we are purchasing a house in a few months we just need a new car and we will be ready.

Today is Saturday. 

In this past week I’ve probably cried enough to lose ten pounds and have eaten enough to gain 15. But...Today is Saturday. 8 days since my mother passed. 

I spoke about her at the memorial last night and I left everyone with the best piece of advice my mom gave me “Do everything to the best of your ability. If you want to be homeless, a CEO, or even a con artist, be the best person you can be.”

So I will. I go back to work on monday and I will kick ass. Today I’ll have my kids with me and we will go to the store and get good food and cook just like she did. I will clean and make sure that everyday I go to bed feeling like I did the best that I could. 

It’s going to be hard because my body weighs 2 tonnes and my eyes are still swollen and it feels like someone has a fist around my heart but I will be productive, I will take care of myself and my family, and I will be positive.
