A World Where Mikado Had More Time
Soo what is this AU about?
Well, cool reader I have no idea if I'm gonna write this on ao3🕊🕊 but this idea is very much free to use because it's just a silly idea I thought about
The Wizard of US
(Which stands for UtsuroShima yes)
This is set in a world where Mikado was early, planned ahead to know things may turn for the worse and decided to puppet the strings himself.
And what this means is more means of success for him and less errors in his ideas, unlike in SDRA2 where the voids didn't do some of their jobs correctly.
And in this world, Utsuro's body survives instead of Akane's. And perhaps he's also braindead, which is the reason Mikado is doing all this. This is to control Utsuro's brain and take control of divine luck(though, maybe his code might still screw him over in the end)
This also means less work for Syobai, and he isn't included in this to prevent any signs of betrayal later. Syobai's work was just to kidnap the survivors of the Dra1 cast before they were able to rise in power. After the events of SDR2, Syobai also stole the Neo World Program and Mikado, using the Yamato AI and Mikako's memories, as well as some revised footage from cctvs of the first game he stole from Junko through the web, he reconstructed the program to look exactly like the first game.
"To simulate the first game to bring Utsuro back" and he means it literally this time, but he didn't expect there to be too much of a difference between the two Yukis, and a lot of unforeseen variables may have occurred.
Now you may be wondering: "What does this mean for Mikado?"
And to answer your question, Mikado is hiding as one of the dead students. Yes all the dead students in DRA1 are all an algorithm Mikado set to do their parts and act accordingly to what the survivors do (think C.ai) but, he is hiding in one of the students, it may become quite obvious with the process of elimination and thinking about his goals.
Did I make this AU for SDRA2 Kinjomae?.... maybe,,,, maybe...
But I mostly made it because I binged DRA1 and then moved to SDRA2, and while doing so I kept thinking "Wow, he's a really interesting character here I wonder how he'd be in DRA1" because I've always noticed Yuki takes more of a leader role in the first parts of the game, then becomes pessimistic whilst not being scared to say his thoughts or fight back. I find his character to be interesting for DRA1 which, DRA1 Maeda took on a more passive yet aggressive when cornered approach unlike the "Yes I will throw hands don't test me" SDRA2 silly Yuki
This AU mostly takes on a more Tsurugi Protag and Yuki Support role which is a swap from DRA1, I like thinking about how Yuki is able to somewhat fix Tsurugi but become worse himself like in chapter 5 when he attempted to slice himself with the knife because just like sdra2, he's fighting for control with Utsuro, though unlike sdra2 which had an utsuro ai, this is the real utsuro that's brain dead (similarly to sora) and by the end of the game Utsuro decides to give his body to Yuki (because uh... yk Yuki is a... piece of meat)
