I want to go back in time. 

To a time before Bendis. Before he mischaracterized and mistreated her, before he gave her a voice that was not her own. Before she came back from the horror of Murderworld and was greeted by the words “X-23 is back and kissing… WHO IS THE MYSTERY MAN??!

I want to go back, and I want to do it right. 

I want the trauma of Murderworld dealt with. I want her to mourn the friends she lost there, and be angry over their deaths. I want to see her coming back to herself, and getting back to the path she was on at the end of her on-going.  I want to see her character development progress slow and naturally.  I want to watch her grow, and change and learn. 

I don’t want to see her become a different person because some hack writer decided he wanted to. I don’t want her to change without reason, or warning.  Change her name, change her costume, change her writer and artist. 

But don’t change who she is.

X-23 is a character whom I absolutely love. Laura has been through so much but has come through all of it. She’s not unscathed by her early life, tragedies, and hardships but she hasn’t let anything beat her down. This ferocious tenacity is one of the qualities that make her perfect to follow in the footsteps of Logan. I can’t say enough good things about our stubborn, unstoppable carving machine.
