“What makes Disneyland special, is that we take and put a mythology around our rides. We put a mythology in our attractions. Pirates has Pirates. Haunted Mansion has ghosts. And Space mountain becomes more than just a roller coaster, it's got mythology of outer space. Mythology is very important. We even brought in Star Tours, the George Lucas characters and his mythology. Mythologies are what make Disneyland special, So for our log ride, we decided to take and add mythology on top of that. And we went back to one of the best that Disney has ever appropriated, and that was the Joel Chandler Harris Uncle Remus characters; Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear."
