Tales of Arkuode
Welcome to my new blog!
I’ve been working on a personal worldbuilding project for a while, that takes heavy influence from Gnostic and other esoteric traditions. The focus will be varying aspects of religion, society, cosmology and magic of the fictional continent of Arkoude. While I do draw deep inspiration from many real world concepts and cultures, I have done my best to develop these influences into my own unique worldbuilding ideas. One of the central ideas that I am exploring is the difference between what the is the in-universe fictional understanding of the world, and the actual cosmic truth of it. The project is by no means fully formed, but I have found it a very useful outlet for both creative writing and digital art. Having met another writing slump, it made sense to also incorporate this project into my blog as a worldbuilding.
