"Oh I see…" Figures that he was in a completely middle of nowhere, just his luck again. With his arms crossed, he felt frustrated that he somehow lost his way during the travelling and the worst part was, this wasn’t his first time that happened.

But hearing the man might have the direction he needed, he felt relieved while he showed a happily grin at him. "No, no, it’s alright, thank you so much for your help, sir!" Since Leon didn’t know his name yet, hopefully the man wouldn’t mind that he had to address him as ’sir’.

Judging by the man's reaction, this was hardly the first time he had gotten lost, as the angel could clearly see. Somebody should definitely get him a compass, or if that's not enough, teach him how to use it, too. That would probably help when it came to the getting lost thing, the older man thought.

"It's nothing, don't worry about it. I help out people all the time." Most of the time they didn't come traipsing into this forest, but he did help lots of people when he came to their cities. And when the other man had called him "sir", it quickly came to his attention that they hadn't been introduced. Of course, seeing as he was considered a deity on this world, he had no intention of giving his true name, lest he go into a town and tell everybody that he'd met a man by that name.

"There's no need to be so formal with me." He said upon speaking up again. "I'm just a wanderer myself, no need to call me 'sir'. My name is Aaron." Yeah, that was a common enough name to work. "And what of yourself?"

A yawn escaped from the traveler’s mouth as he continued further through the large woods. For him, it looked like a maze, walking to an endless path of green. Some time had passed and still no progression of his travel, he really should ask some directions before he left the last visited town. 

On his way, he came across a large bush, blocking his view what was ahead of him. With effort, he squeezed through his obstacle. 

The first thing he noticed, was a deer fleeing by his approach. But still in this area, the same environment and yet no sign of civilization. He sighed for moment, realizing he had still a long way to go. Until a male voice got his attention, asking him in a kind of demanded way.

To his surprise, it was an angelic knight and he looked quite displeased to see him here. This made him feel uncomfortable, not knowing what the other was capable to do with him. 

So he just answered his question. "I’m very sorry that I stumbled to your place…" He said apologetically. "I’m on way to the next nearby town but as you can see, I’m lost…"

The brunet archer sighed, wondering just how one could get so lost that they would end up in this place. After all, these sacred woods were pretty far removed from any human establishment that he knew of. Was it possible that somebody sent him in the wrong direction with the intent of getting him extremely lost? Or had he stumbled off the beaten path on his own? Or... was there a new human establishment that had popped up unbeknownst to him?

"Well, I'm sorry to tell you that as far as I know, there isn't a human establishment anywhere near these woods. However, if you head due south, I'm sure you'd run into one of the little towns that dot this world in no time at all. I'm sorry I couldn't be of any more help to you, but I mostly stick to these woods." That last sentence was a lie, but everything else was true as far as he was concerned.

((So a discussion got me thinking about things, and now I'm highly considering adding a PMMM!Colette muse to my list. Because it's not like I already have a PMMM!Tales character blog. Should I?))

Chalcedony knew that his reasons were not exactly convincing, but at least the older knight seems to have bought his story… For now. Of course, people would not know of his Soma, Wahrheit, a unique equipment set consisting of his armor and a long sword which he could summon at will, as well as some other features. Since the older man did not seem too suspicious of it, he thought it would be best to keep quiet about it, unless the situation calls for it.

He did notice his odd speech pattern, for it was somewhat similar to old novels that he had read before, but paid no heed to it.

“Ahh, yes, thank you. Indeed, I do hail from outside of here. I come from Estrega, the Imperial Capital of Celirand. The name’s Chalcedony Arcome, and you are…?”

Estrega? Celirand? Those names were foreign to Milhaust. Yes, this younger knight definitely was not from anywhere around here. Especially when he hadn't heard of another kingdom that existed outside of the kingdom of Karegia where they were. There had to be a reason this boy came all the way out of his element to Balka. It wouldn't hurt to give an introduction, though.

"My name is Milhaust Selkirk." He said authoritatively and succinctly. "I am a knight of the royal guard here in Balka." Except there really wasn't much of a royal to guard anymore. Not since the queen of the kingdom had passed away, at least. So though he wasn't wrong, he wasn't exactly doing his royal guard duties, either.

The hunter had been practicing his craft in the woods. At that moment in time, he was sizing up a medium sized buck, waiting for the perfect moment to shoot. Right now, its head was down and it was grazing nonchalantly, but eventually its head would have to perk up, which would be the best moment to strike.

Suddenly, the deer's head shot up quickly and it bounded off, apparently having heard something. As if answering the question of what had scared the buck off, an unknown person had traipsed into the woods, scuffling through the brush. He was the one who had made the noise to scare off the deer. Sighing, the brown haired archer stood up and went over to confront the stranger.

"Just what are you doing in this place?" He said, slinging the bow over his shoulder. "This place is sacred - humans shouldn't be here. Do you have something important to do with this place?"

This is….?

It seems like Chalcedony has ended up in yet another world. He was tasked with the investigation of the Triverse Gate, a mysterious door that seems to send people to other parts of the world, or perhaps even a different universe itself. Nobody knew much about the place, save for the people who actually came from the other side of the door. An acquaintance of his was one of those people, but he had left without a word, thus triggering a need to further explore the place.

A quick look around confirmed that he was in foreign land. This was no Estrega, or Pransoule even. Composing himself, he decided that he should first gather information about this world that he was in.

However, before Chalcedony could do anything, a voice called out to him from behind. Turning to see who that was, he noticed the older man approaching him.

Of all the people to be meeting first, it had to be a knight…? Or someone from the military? Or so he thought, judging from the man’s way of dressing, complete with armor and helmet. Any careless movements now could spell danger for him, and that he should be careful with his choice of words.

“So this is Balka… I see.” He gave a small nod, before continuing on. “I am just a traveler, but I seem to have ended up in a place that I do not know of.”

Well that was hardly the response the older knight had been expecting. Somebody was here in Balka and they didn't even know? How does one get to the capital city without knowing? There had to be something else going on, and Milhaust wanted to find out.

"And of all the places in the kingdom of Karegia, thou end up at the capital city. Either thou have just arrived here from parts unknown or thou art completely and utterly hopeless when it comes to directions and getting thy bearings." He took another look at the young man's armor. "And judging by thy foreign looking armor, I would have to assume it's the former. Welcome to Karegia."

Milhaust was sounding quite bitter - almost out of character for himself. Maybe he just needed a break from the foggy gloominess of Balka. It was that time of year where the fog never lifted around the city, after all.

Wrath Headcanon #1

Wrath is a chain smoker, downing at least a pack a day. However, seeing as he's not mortal,  he doesn't need to worry about problems associated with smoking, such as lung cancer and other diseases.

The reason why he smokes in the first place is to calm himself down. More specifically, to keep his powers in check. Without cigarettes, his powers would be constantly on and almost out of control. This wasn't a problem when he lived in the spirit world, but now that he's trying to be incognito, he can't have his flames going out of control.

When he doesn't have a cigarette in a long time, he would start shaking uncontrollably, almost as if he was experiencing withdrawal symptoms. However, he's not actually capable of going through withdrawal, so the reason this happens is because his powers are gaining strength and he can't hold them back for much longer. To counter this, he either needs to go somewhere private and burn off some power for a while or have a smoke.

Oh, and he never needs a lighter.

Alice was standing around, not necessarily doing much of anything. only thinking. soon enough, she had her attention grabbed by an unfamiliar looking man. he had red hair and a cigarette, which only made Alice a tad curious as to what he could possibly want. Alice was shorter than him, she looked up at him, a little confused. she must had looked like a child to someone like him, but whatever he needed must’ve been important if he was going to ask someone who appeared to be a kid.

Alice, still looking up at him, thought about his statement. “I’m going to assume that by that, you’re lost.. so, I guess I might need to answer your question since you look like you have some important business to attend to.” she said, a little scared to what he could do. but overall, she wasn’t that bothered by it. she looked around her, to think of where they were. “well.. you’re in Luin. it’s near Lake Sinoa. are you aware of where you are now?”

Neither of the location names the white haired girl said rang a bell to Wrath.  This was a good thing, though. If he'd never heard of this place, odds were pretty good that his pursuer hadn't heard of it, either. And any place where he could possibly be at peace for a while was good enough of place to stay in. He noticed the look on the girl's face, but made no facial acknowledgement to her expression. Instead, he flicked his cigarette and watched the ashes flutter to the ground before putting on a content facade and addressing her.

"Luin, huh?" He said, taking another look around the place. "Well, this is my kind of town. I guess this place can be my stomping grounds for a while." At that moment, he realized that he didn't know the girl's name. Wrath didn't want her to know his true identity, so he needed a pseudonym. Once more he looked, searching for visual cues as to a fake name to take. He noticed there was a middle aged man fishing on the dock, as well as a half tattered sheet of paper with a bad drawing and a name scribbled on it. Nothing a mortal would be able to see from his distance, but was plainly in sight to his powerful immortal eyes. Those would work.

"The name's Irving Fisher." He said succinctly, liking the sound of the name. He inhaled a considerable amount of smoke and breathed it out away from the girl before speaking again. "How about you, young lady?"

The sin spirit found himself in an unfamiliar city, roaming around to get his bearings. Nobody paid him any mind - as far as they were all concerned, he was just another stranger. Not a single soul suspected the man with the red hair strolling by with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth could be something more than just a normal person.

While strolling, he happened upon a girl that caught his interest. She had a cutesy white and pink outfit on that hid her true nature, which he was able to see right through. Intrigued, Wrath walked over to talk to the girl, hoping that she might be able to at least give him the time of day.

"Hello there, Miss..." He said gruffly, not trying very hard to make a first impression. He never did. Honestly, he didn't care what anybody thought of him, nor did he feel anything for them. Seeing as he was in unfamiliar territory, he thought it would be a good conversation starter. Letting off another puff of smoke from his cigarette, he continued. "I'm not exactly sure where I am, so I thought you might be able to tell me where this place is..."

The blond haired knight had left the palace walls in order to see how things were going in the city of Balka proper. It wasn't very often lately that he left the castle - nothing really happened anymore besides little scuffles between Humas and Gajumas, and Milhaust had no reason to interfere with those kinds of affairs. A breath of fresh air was certainly a pleasant change of pace, though.

Just then, out of the corner of his eye, the man noticed an odd figure walking around in the distance. He was a Huma wearing armor, as if he was a knight, but the insignia on his armor was nothing that Milhaust had ever seen before. Was he friendly? Or was he a possible threat to the castle? One way or another, Milhaust was going to find out.

"Excuse me..." He said, walking over to the stranger with hair not too different than his own. "What brings thou here to Balka, young man?" He was trying not to look out of sorts, but being cooped up in a castle for so long had started getting to him.
