Kanako, also known as the clanâs infiltrator, is a no-nonsense type of woman. She takes her job seriously, is extremely focused and determined and has no issue with putting someone in their place should the need arise. She speaks her mind, makes certain that her opinions are taken into account and that any order she gives is followed. Everything about her demands respect where ever she goes even though she is only from the second line of the Kuranagi clan.
When one of the other clans members are called in, she is the one making the calls. She is the first to arrive, she infiltrates whatever organization, establishment, or monarch that she needs to and assesses the situation, from there she decides how to handle the mission in the most efficient manner and never leaves until it is successfully completed. She is the one the others report back to, even when someone of higher status is called into play such as Kensei or Ichirou, she still remains in charge. Any possible missions are sent to her first for her to make the decision on if it requires their attention or not and how to proceed.
At times she serves as a liaison to the ones the clans have ties with, others she goes undercover to work her way in to gather, alter and remove information however she sees fit. There have been times where she has worked with other organizations for investigations, others she will either take complete control depending on the severity. Because of this, she has learned the ins and outs of nearly every organization out there. If she goes undercover, she plays her part flawlessly and has yet to have been suspected no matter where she was.
She is a technopath and within a world run by technology, sheâs capable of a great many things. She can infiltrate any system and do whatever she needs to with the information within it including using it to back up whatever current story she is using for the mission. Though she is highly respected among her own kind, when playing the part she can seem quite the opposite if need be, blending into her surroundings however she has to. From the intimidating organization head that is there to seize control of things to the woman in the background that no one even spares a second glance.
Off duty she is far more relaxed, preferring the simple things more than anything else. A stroll at night under the stars, a day out with friends (if she ever truly had the time to make any and wasnât such a workaholic), drinks on the beach, trying out a variety of different places and things to eat. She loves carnivals, theme parks, festivals, and the like though she usually finds herself ending up going alone those rare times that she can go. It never bothers her that much though, most unwilling to get too close to the person they work for and outside of the clans and her missions, she never really gets the chance to meet new people.
Even on her own time, sheâs still a rather blunt woman, speaks her mind without fear and lets it be known when she doesnât agree with something or someone. Sheâs daring, loves anything challenging such as puzzles, riddles and such. Kanako prefers an intellectually stimulating conversation any day over flirting and the typical response to someone hitting on her is, depending on how they approach, anywhere from being softly let down to outright denying them and either removing herself or even them from the area if need be. Sheâs a curious woman but she knows where to draw the line and wonât cross it, just know that she isnât the type of woman who says âan eye for an eyeâ, but more like the type to take both of your eyes and all of your limbs should you earn her wrath.
