INFO DUMP ! hana : the reaper.

first &. foremost , hana is Not her real name , but rather an alias she uses for huntress / military reasons. she never gives out her real name &. likely never will no matter how ‘ close ‘ one gets to her. 

she doesn’t allude to one single mythos or concept , although currently she takes insp from the japanese spider lily myth &. ability wise , she takes heavy insp from the greek goddess hekate. ( mainly due to her semblance. ) she’s also human despite her ghostly appearance , though there are in fact rumours circulating remnant wide that she’s a spirit &. more often than not , she plays into it. as long as it keeps people away from her.

her semblance is a combination of reaping &. necromancy , through which her medium / weapon of choice is a big ‘ol scythe.  the ability to take, the ability to give. death &. creation joined as one. like the goddess she takes insp from , hana is , more or less , a grim reaper in her field of work. ( next bullet. ) in order for her semblance to truly activate , only physical hits with her weapon ( whether it be by blade or bullet ) count &. they actively drain aura until , well , the person she’s against eventually dies. afterwards , she can temporarily bring them back for gaining extra information / extra eyes in the open world / ect. she also has death perception , which allows her to tell when someone’s going to die via the vibrancy of their aura. 

affiliated with the atlas military , stealth corps with some assassination specialization on the side when needed , though mainly for ‘ big game ‘ like crime lords &. the like. ( ie : before the events of v3 , one of her main targets was roman torchwick , but obviously he’s since been. Gone. )

i can’t .. really imagine ky getting along with her fellow maidens ?? she’s aware of how being summer immediately places a target on her back, but at the same time she is VERY kind hearted &. a people pleaser, so she often finds herself using her maiden abilities ( mainly controlling of winds ) when helping others out. even if it’s a very simple task.

i feel like relic guardians have to do their best to appear normal, tbh ?? like ... they can’t stand out Too terribly much ( similar to spy disguises ) n that’s !! why fhen’s family puts so much emphasis on her hiding her wings and silver eyes. she’s already bold enough with her hair ( blood red with orange underneath ) , so ?? why subject her even more ?? ( espec when silver eyes are a target for culling Yikes )

INFO DUMP ! fhen zhu : the phoenix.

alludes to the chinese phoenix , or the ‘ fenghuang ‘. ( some insp taken from the phoenix of greek mythos. )  her traits are a big pair of wings on her back with red / orange / green &. blue feathers , but as they get in the way of combat , they’re heavily bound &. hidden under her clothing. she’s also got AMAZING vision , similar to that of a hawks’. many other bird related traits.

semblance is called ‘ rebirth ‘ , aka a form of short range teleportation that allows her to burst into flames &. re - materialize in a different location. it’s only limited to her line of sight &. she cannot teleport anywhere she can’t see. fhen also needs to have constant view of her surroundings , therefore it’s Useless if she’s blindfolded / caught in smoke / at night / ect. she often uses her semblance in unison with her weapon ( a bow with fire dust coated arrows that explode on contact ) for getting up close to enemies for maximum damage. if possible of course. 

in both remnant culture ( &. modern chinese culture ) , the fenghuang have always been symbols of high virtue , grace &. peace &. as such , fhen &. her parents ( born to a dragon faunus father &. a phoenix faunus mother ) work with shade academy’s headmaster as guardians for both protection of the school / its students &. of the relic. ( side note : fhen has ancestors who once served as personal bodyguards for maidens. some of her training thus far has been for that , yes , but as of now her primary focus is shade academy / her team / ect. ) fenghuang guardians specifically have flame pattern tattoos on either arm ; starting from the shoulders &. ending at the tips of their middle fingers. 

silver eyes !! inherited from late ancestor on her mothers side &. to keep herself hidden ( bc honestly her family being essentially a fuckin gang just paints even more of a target on her back ) , fhen wears blue contacts for safety. rarely ever uses them. she also has the sub ability to breathe flames , something she inherited from her father. they’re blue in colour.

personality wise , fhen is both collected &. calm , as well as being extremely prideful ( &. Very Mouthy. ) with her current position. often rushes into situations without much thinking in the beginning , her silver tongue being a prime trouble source with shade’s headmaster , ect. also Extremely protective over her team mates / family / school in general. fhen’s well aware of the dangers being a guardian includes &. it’s something she’s been always had looming over her head , but that doesn’t mean she won’t go down without a fight should bad things happen. would sell her soul to protect ppl for a corn chip.
