Mentoring the groups of this special positive event and couldn't be happier about it! more about it here -> https://imatter.org.il/about-marathon/
What can be done with the load of materials and objects that surround us? To what extent are designers responsible for this excess? And does the design world still solve problems, or rather produce them?
The materials library named after Aaron Feiner Eden invites you to participate in a design marathon: product designers, designers of textiles, fashion, visual communication, ceramics and glass, interiors, architects, artists, makers of all kind and all those whose design and creation are a central part of his life.
We are looking for a method, system, plan, or course of action that uses what already exists to improve what is there through an innovative, original, and accessible way.
Think you're the right person for the job?

‘Homo Flora’ by Noa Ilan Curator: Talia Janover
After a fruitful process of several months, it's finally here! As part of the upcoming illustration Week, Noa Ilan , my dear and talented friend, will present a solo exhibition called 'Homo Flora' which I was happy to curate 🌺
Together we discovered the world of plant and human reproduction. The result is two series of illustrations: one offers a look at the various reproductive systems and uses the technique of scientific illustrations, and the other presents speculative illustrations that raise questions about how phenomena that exist in plants, could be expressed in humans.
The exhibition Homo Flora will open on Friday, November 19 at 11:00 at the Jaffa Museum and is a collaboration with Little Big Science

Jerusalem Design Week is pleased to hold its tenth edition! Jerusalem Design Week has been held under the mangment of the Hansen House Center for Design, Media and Technology since 2011. Each year, the Jerusalem Design Week focuses on a central theme that examines unique Jerusalem and Israeli situations having international relevance, with the idea that the unique cultural landscape in Israel allows it to serve as a kind of living laboratory exploring urgent global issues, and with the belief that design must respond to these issues.

Photos of 'Excavation Memory' Project where we (@noail, @cohenoemie and myself) created an archeological site where excavation and cataloging of memories are carried out by a team of researchers. The project is our small protest against local polices that lead to massive demolition of old buildings in favor of new housing projects instead of emphasizing the importance of long-term planning for preservation of buildings that can last longer and better with the support municipality and government. The project was done as part of the TLV Pop Up Museum 2, which was recently held at Katzenelson 7 in Tel Aviv. A building that was doomed to demolition and construction as a new housing project. Between the demolition of a building and the construction of a new real estate project, we pause and ask - What happens to the material and memories it possess that are casually disposed of in the demolition act? Virtual identities, social network filters and the loss of control over our own data all play a part in Talia’s research project.
During The main event - Saturday | 25.1.20 | 8pm - Black Narcissus 0.3, an Open research laboratory, will be inviting you to participate! The material in the laboratory is the visitor’s virtual identity and physical appearance.
By connecting to the project’s app the visitor is invited to explore the encounter, merger and disruption that takes place between his virtual and the physical identity. He can play with his live photographed face, filtered and projected into the gallery space along with photos and data taken and projected from his Facebook user.

What would happen if the moments we experienced in a particular place became the material from which the place was built?
Welcome to the bedroom of apt 8, 2nd floor at Katzenelson 7 in Tel Aviv - 'Excavations Memory' was done in collaboration with Noa Ilan & Noemie Chen for Pop-Up Museum TLV 2 // Katzenelson 7 Tel! @popupmuseumtlv . An archaeological excavation is essentially an act of destruction that occurs on historic and valuable sites. In this project, we want to give the same value to the building, its rich past and the memories it has absorbed over the years. . 'Excavations Memory' allows you to enter an archaeological site where excavation is being carried out by a team of researchers. The remains on display are the ones uncovered and cataloged during the excavations - valuable pieces from the space. You are invited to visit the craziest building in Tel Aviv for a celebration of only 6 days before the building was destroyed! January 1-6, 2020 2pm to 10pm Curator: Yaara Sachs

‘Tree, burning’ a new site specific work in which, using mapping and projection technology, one tree looks as if it is burning but is not consumed by the flames. Talia Janover is an architect and New Media artist and this project was done in collaboration with video artist Niri Levy.
Forest fires are usually seen as a bad and dangerous occurrence and the fire as a destructive force. In practice, natural fires also have a positive impact on their ecological environment - clearing the area of trees and plants that have died or are decaying and, in the years that followed, feed the soil and renewing the vegetation and animals. Their composition will not necessarily be the same as before the fire.
This project will be presented for the first time at ‘Loving Art Making Art’ Event. It provides a lingering look at the moment of fire in the human context present on Jerusalem Boulevard, which is between destruction and construction. The project raises questions about the duality that exists in the violent act of the fire.
