After top surgery im gonna set myself a music budget and then buy so much music

#100% секретный дневник левы НЕ ЧИТАЙ #i get why my mom has so many cds now !!!#when i was obsessed with mayb 1 or 2 artists it was like ? but ok #but now....#there is so much music in the world !!!#alot may have to be digital though bcause i dont listen 2 english music very much :V #but anyways i'm very all-in when it comes to new artists... their libraries are also generally smaller than band that shall not b named so #its easier in a way #i could live my life in constant music if i wanted 2 ...#tbh i DO but rlly dont bcause work so loud...#but then i never listen music outside of radio & shower anymore :l #my thought here is if i buy an album a month its like a subscription to Music (the concept) + i no longer have 2 b streaming #(even w/o ads when streaming its through yt/yt music so some songs wont play or sometimes the app wont wrk until updated)#AND if my cd player gets fix/replaced at any point then i cld have cd collection 4 my car!!!#that wld b cool :)

Must have missed when it became available, but sherpatts is better recognized by weavechat now!! So you can select different languages... no more needing to set the one i use for language learning as my default voice, haha

Missing some features i feel like but possibly not a bad option?

There's only 4 voices & no option to use the ones on your device. (Yet... it does have a github page where features could be requested 😆 )

So uh as an autistic person who can speak most of the time but sometimes can't I've been trying to find a good AAC app. I did eventually find Udderance AAC and Speech Assistant both of which I'll be trying but uh on my search I also found Autism Soundboard and it's a nightmare

For text-based, typingtalk aac has a more "modern" design (material you?) & is somewhat similar in layout to speech assistant.

For symbol-based there's more options, and i'm heavily biased towards one of them anyways, but a non-exhaustive list of ones that i know allow for no images:

it's spb/obf only!!! so no pagesets. but I did open an issue on github with sps->obz conversion suggestion. So we'll see what happens with that. (if anybody reading this happens to know about coding & wants to maybe contribute, an sps file appears to be some sort of sql... i don't know what to do with that, though.) it IS an offline .html converter, also! So it brings up this nice webpage to convert things for you:

(the conversion was an attempt at file renaming the lamp hack .sps to .spb. it did not actually work.) interestingly, a page bundle seems to *also* download as spb... but when i converted the aac core compared page to check, it's only the p2g page? Not really sure about that, either. so if you have a single-page board you want to convert, it'll work fine, but entire pagesets... not so much. (Yet? Hopefully. haha). I assume offline html is possible on a phone *some*how, but I've never really looked into it, so... probably best to have a computer? [slight context: aac board converter on github]

Not 100% sure what results look like, but assuming you *can* download from pageset central w/o an account ... could then use td snap boards in asterics?!

Also I *did* notice that cory hack pageset... I had a suspicion it might be someone's clone, but I couldn't be certain!

So if this converter works, all my hours of work put into the asterics clone may be for "nothing" 😂 . But I had fun putting it together, at least!

Ok wait so i noticed there's an index.html file. Is this... an offline converter??? (You can open local html files even without internet).

So... download repo -> open index.html -> drop in file to convert -> profit?

Hmm. 2 more things i'd like to see in weavechat now:

1) option to be able to cut off words again. I don't like the forced pause when typing ...

2) audio feedback that isn't saying the word. Maybe customizable?
