“I have no idea. I’m the last person you should be asking about that. I can tell you that weird food cravings are normal though, especially in the middle of the night.”
"Are they really? I thought it’s like, you’re pregnant or I don’t know...dying. Or have some medical condition, for sure. My mom strictly banned midnight snacking for me and my brother so I always thought it was like, not normal.”
sashasmiths:
Sasha’s eyes moved from her plate to Tallulah’s face, narrowing in a squint as she tried to do the math from January to today. “Totally. You’d be like what, five months in now? Six? Think by then you have a bump. No cravings either, these stop three months in.” Unless that was the throwing up. Hers never lasted long enough for any of that, going on second-hand experience there her brain was fuzzy about. She’d have laughed, but Lula’s paranoia was contagious. “Nah, dude, I’m sure you’re good. But if you wanna you can come over and do a test? I got loads home.” Bought in bulk just in case, and if she really was six months in the accuracy would have to skyrocket to 100%. Right?
Though she’s good at thinking herself into a frenzy, she’s equally good at thinking herself out of them too. Nah, she couldn’t be pregnant from her hookup in January. That was fucking ridiculous. He’d used protection, and she was on the pill to boot. It would be some freak accident to have both those things fail, right? "How do you know so much?” she asks, sputtering it out of the blue, but making up a decision just as she did. “Nah, I don’t think I am. I’m good. And if I do by some miracle pop out a kid in 3 months, I could always give it up for adoption, right? Right?”
margot-collins:
“How bizarre are these sandwiches? Maybe you are a Virgin Mary.” She joked. “In all fairness though, my sister and I would do stuff that like all the time. We’d get up at midnight and have microwave smores or root beer floats.”
“Okay let’s see...on Monday I had this one that was like, pickles, cheese, butter on a bun, and I added strawberry jam for some reason? And then the last two nights in a row I’ve made these peanut butter and m&m sandwiches...I don’t even know.” Even if it wasn’t a sign of something being wrong, diabetes would sure catch up fast like that. “Oh my god, really? My mom used to be so strict about that stuff, we were never allowed midnight snacks. And now it’s just like, stamped in my brain that I shouldn’t.”
mercollins:
Meredith was sitting across from the girl, sipping on her own milkshake which was almost sent out of her nose at Tallulah’s comment. She coughed to clear the milkshake from her airways before saying, “Hey now, dipping fries into a shake isn’t that weird..” She trailed off for a few seconds as she ate a fry from her own plate. “It isn’t that weird, is it?”
"Oh I didn’t mean this,” Tallulah said, not even realizing she’d been dipping fries into her ice cream until she looked down at her own actions. “But like...every night for the past 3 nights I’ll get up at like 2 or 3, and make myself these bizarre sandwiches. I don’t know what’s up honestly. Maybe I was abducted by aliens and brought back weird and don’t know it yet.”

sashasmiths:
“Think it depends on the pregnancy”, Sasha replies, eyes following the fry in Tallulah’s hand’s descent into froyo, somewhat impressed if she’s being honest. All of hers had played out so differently, a whole new body every time, but that part she doesn’t share. “If you had though? Wouldn’t even need a pregnancy test after this.” Dipping one of her own fries into her ketchup packet, almost as if to underline a point.
“Except it can’t really be, ‘cause the last time anything happened with me was in like...January. But if something had happened in January, I’d be showing at least something, right?” It had started out as a joke, but now she was seriously considering the possibility. What if she was one of those medical freak of nature girls who didn’t know they were pregnant until the day they popped? Oh my god, she thought, I can’t be pregnant. No fucking way. “You think I should get tested?” God, her parents would kill her.
margot-collins:
“Well then maybe you’re just special or maybe you’re starting your period.” She joked.
“Yeah I’m no Virgin Mary. Periods would make more sense though. Right,” Tallulah said, like she’d forgotten those were a thing. Usually she did forget they were a thing, hers always so irregular for whatever reason. “It’s just so weird, for like 3 nights in a row I’ll get up in the middle of the night and make these like...bizarre sandwiches. I can’t stop.”
queencobraeva:
“I’m out… of sunscreen…” Eva sighed. The bottle was squeaking out out air. “I got my arms, but my face and neck will fry… I can… I can feel the sunburn already…” Of course she wasn’t been affected that fast, but in her mind she absolutely was. Eva could only think about how bad of a sensory issue that would be… long after the burn would be gone too… “Did you bring any?”
"Oh!” Tal said, “I got you,” and immediately dove into her tote bag, rifling through all the various items she’d brought along with her today to find the right one. She grabbed and passed Eva a bottle of Banana Boat. “I never leave the house without it in the summer, honestly. If I do, I peel like a lobster and that’s not a good look for anyone.”
mercollins:
Her eyes spring open at the mention of a blueberry muffin to which she quickly nods in reply. “Lula, I don’t know how you did that.. but in the brief five seconds of time I was checked out I was imagining that I was eating a blueberry muffin. Are you like a psychic or a mind reader or something?” she asked, giving the girl a small smile. “But anyway.. I would love a blueberry muffin.”
"You know that’s not the first time I’ve gotten that,” Tallulah said, straightening up in her chair, even as she was getting up. “There was like, this one time in camp everybody thought I was a witch because I predicted this super quiet guy getting sent home, anyway— be right back—” she gestured to the cash register, where she got up to grab the muffins from. Two minutes and she was back again, sliding a tray of the muffins for her and Meredith. “Here you gooo.”
location: the freeze
“Having really weird food cravings is like, a sign of being pregnant right?” she asks, dipping a fry into her frosty. Except it’s not a frosty and this isn’t Wendy’s, but Tallulah makes do with the local substitute. “Not that I would be cause you’d have to actually, you know—“ Lula makes odd hand gestures that could only mean one thing. “And I haven’t.”

Location: Jasper’s lake
Yes, Eva’s house had a pool. Yes. She used that pool often… But then… there’s whole lake in a park that constantly called her name. So Eva found herself swimming in it often almost once a week. She’d gotten a new swimsuit, a break from her usual green theme, it was strawberry themed and she adored it. Eva found an empty spot on shore to lay out her towel and leave her things. Did she have enough sunscreen though? That poor bottle was on it’s last legs as she covered her arms with it…
“Oh no…” She sighed and started digging through her bag. It was more than likely the only bottle she had with her… unless she still had that travel sized bottle…
Tallulah didn’t think much of activities involving open bodies of water. Beaches were boring, just there, not much to them. But a lake, at least a lake was a bit more interesting. Plus there was all the hopes that something could turn Friday the 13th at one, never failing to remember one of her favorite horror movies when she was here. On top of that, she’d bought a new swimsuit and hadn’t gotten the chance to wear it since summer had started (a slight feeling of guilt there, Gem always talked about how bad it was to buy fast fashion...but oh well).
She was just setting up her own towel when she looked up. "Hey...you good?” she asked, when she noticed Eva give pause.
mercollins:
[sitting at a table in the coffee shop, her head buried in her hands] I’m sorry.. [she looks up at your character and yawns] I have no idea what you just said. Could you repeat that?
"I said I was gonna go get a muffin... do you want one? I’m thinking blueberry.”
