Hello, my name is Tori or Castor. I’m an enby writer, my pronouns are he/they. If you can’t respect that, don’t follow me. I have over 25 years of RP experience. I am also neurodivergent.

This is an independent roleplay blog for Talos the Untamed, the Skrull general from both the MCU and Marvel 616 comics.

I write para and semi-para. You do not have to match post length, but please let it be more than a single line unless it’s perhaps an ask answer. I do not like drama. This is a LGBTQ+ safe space.

I’m still developing Talos and plan to do many things with him. I’m happy to write starters, but I’ll be reblogging plenty of asks that you can send in. You can also contact me in DMs to plot.

I am looking to write with lots of people, whether friend, enemy, relative or lover. Note that I ship chemistry. I might vibe with one person’s version of a character and not yours. Thems the breaks. A Skrull Spy In the Rubble

Talos often thought in this vast universe of worlds, there was no other place that had faced the same suffering as his people on his now destroyed home planet of Skrull. Then? He met the humans of Terra.. or Earth as the natives called it. 

What little was left of the population of Skrullos were on the run from the Kree. They had destroyed Skrullos, hunted Skrulls out of spite and just for sport. The atrocities committed upon his kind, still committed when found were immeasurable. Sadly here on earth, he was glimpsing a similar holocaust. 

He’d arrived on this planet not too long ago. Their ship had crashed in Europe, and had even been seen by some humans. Earth technology seemed so primitive, and he wasn’t sure if they could even fix it. And where would they run to? Thanks to Kree propaganda, they were an utterly despised species. No one knew of Kree on this planet. It seemed they mostly thought the universe consisted only of them. What small minds, but it worked in their favor. No one would be looking for them.

But they landed in a terrible time. They’d only crash landed shortly before war broke out. Some of the Skrulls rebelled against his leadership of staying put too, but the ones who stayed managed to blend in to the human population, make a small settlement out in the countryside. Then the Nazis came. War broke out and plenty of his own kind had perished just from dropping bombs. Others executed due to the human forms they took, most being civilians and too afraid to shift and fight back. It was a massacre. He’d even lost his daughter.

Quickly they’d discovered the Jewish people were the Skrulls of this place. The Nazi war machine? It reminded him of the cruel Kree. They’d ran from one awful situation to the next, and as alien creatures were out of place, especially Talos. He was once a great, feared Skrull general, and now he’d been deduced to fighting for basic food alongside the humans. It was where he was now, in a village that was now mostly rubble thanks to the war, digging through the blown up houses for food. He was in his human form, one he’d taken from what he’d thought was a very handsome Jewish man. His clothes were disheveled, mittens practically fingerless, a shabby coat on his form. To any onlooker, he’d just look like a Jew that hadn’t been rounded up, starving, seeking sustenance.

There was a brief series of looks between the set of gathered skrulls followed by a series of nods. That seemed to be enough.

“ Captain Rogers is going to help us move our ship inside the base. We don’t want that technology falling into the hands of the evil humans of this planet. But we don’t plan on handing it to the Americans either. For now, they’re simply concerned about our safety. We’ll be returning home to the others to discuss the plan of relocation. It will be safer for us there. “

Talos then sighed softly. “ I’m not sure I can even get her to fly though, Steve. She was in bad shape when we crashed. I suppose you’ll have to see for yourself. We’re ready when you are. “

Others executed due to the human forms they took, most being civilians and too afraid to shift and fight back. It was a massacre. He’d even lost his daughter.

Quickly they’d discovered the Jewish people were the Skrulls of this place. The Nazi war machine? It reminded him of the cruel Kree. They’d ran from one awful situation to the next, and as alien creatures were out of place, especially Talos. He was once a great, feared Skrull general, and now he’d been deduced to fighting for basic food alongside the humans. It was where he was now, in a village that was now mostly rubble thanks to the war, digging through the blown up houses for food. He was in his human form, one he’d taken from what he’d thought was a very handsome Jewish man. His clothes were disheveled, mittens practically fingerless, a shabby coat on his form. To any onlooker, he’d just look like a Jew that hadn’t been rounded up, starving, seeking sustenance.

Steve walked into medical with Talos, despite one of the techs trying to say it wasn't necessary. Steve leveled him with a look. "Son... just don't," he growled in a deep voice. The tech swallowed hard and left him alone.

Steve moved to stand beside Talos, watching everything that was being done. He rested a hand on the other's shoulder when he was stuck and squeezed gently in reassurance. As each vial was taken, Steve watched carefully as it was labeled and set aside. By the fourth vile, Steve stepped in.

"I think you have more than enough," he said adamantly.

"But what about if we wanted to use..."

"I'm going to stop you right there," Steve said through gritted teeth. "This is not about what you want or what experiments you think you're going to run. I will take possession of all four vials now that they are labeled. You will remove the line from General Talos immediately. I will secure the blood myself to ensure only myself and Colonel Phillips and Mr. Stark have access to it."

When he placed the hand on his shoulder, he glanced up to him, offering a tense little smile of thanks. Vile after vile was filled, until Steve stepped in, and when he did, it was difficult for Talos not to drool.

That was a power move. Just like when the tech tried to get him to leave. He’d seen a determined Steve, a sad Steve, and now an angry, protective Steve and frankly, it was hot. If this were a different place, he’d pounce him right then. In fact, he let out a soft purr.

The techs gulped and quickly the line was removed from Talos. They went to place a small bandaid, but the puncture wound had already began to heal as he shifted that arm back to normal. They labeled the vials and uneasily gave them to Steve.

“ Thank you. “ He said softly into his purr. He couldn’t help it, even though he knew they needed to get out of the base soon enough. “ When we exit this place, I’ll need to give a signal to my people just in case they’re already here, so they do no harm. “

Steve took the vials of blood and pocketed them before leading Talos out of the medical wing and into the hallway once more. "Let me secure the vials in Stark's lab and then we will head outside. I'll do nothing until you've made contact first." He stopped at Howard's lab and stepped insdie, bringing Talos with him. The lab was empty. Steve rolled his eyes. Howard was probably still asleep somewhere. He went to a small lab vault in the wall and opened it. He placed all four vials inside and locked it with a code that he knew Howard had only given him and Phillips. That done, he turned back to Talos, looking a little more relaxed.

"All right. Let's go get you back to your people."

Talos nodded in agreement, but he had a feeling his people were already here, the vanguard troops at least. He had soldiers and families with him, but they’d never sit idle while their general went missing, especially on this planet.

He’d followed and watched him put the vials away, then gestured his head to the side. “ Come then. “ Talos exited the area with him and backtracked a little from where they had been. He’d seen an exit to the outside of whatever part of the base they were at, and this was where he needed to be.

Once outside, Talos took a look around, took a deep breath then opened his mouth, letting out an unearthly sort of roar, even in his human form. It was a purr laced with the roar, the rumbling emerging from his chest and throat, out into the night air. It was a cease and desist call. Talos had been correct. Some of the Vanguard were already on the base, searching for their commander. They knew that things would fall apart without him. A soldier on the opposite side of the base quickly did a 360 and headed toward the call. Another having taken out a guard and laid him unconscious also left his post. In a few minutes, the faces of soldiers Steve would find familiar appeared, including the face of one of the Howlies.

Once they’d started to surround them, Talos lifted his hand. “ It’s all right, you’re safe. I’m safe. The humans here want to help us. They aren’t like the others. Stand down. “

The roar had startled Steve slightly and it had been quite loud. "Wow..." he whispered a moment later before he saw movement in the trees and, for a moment, felt really under-prepared. He wished he had his sidearm... just in case.

As the others began to surround them, he noted familiar faces, especially the face of one...

"Gabe?" he asked in surprise. "You're one of them?" There was no accusation or anger; simply genuine surprise. "Where is... the real Gabe?"

The Skrull that was Gabe briefly looked to Talos as if asking for permission, before answering.“ Safely secured in what I think is a janitorial closet. I knocked him unconscious to take his form. “

“ You took our general. How can we be certain we can trust you? “ Another asked.

Talos answered with a bit of warning sound of his own. He didn’t want or need any aggression here. “ The humans are giving us safe harbor, and after what we’ve already lost, we need it. This is a strange, new place for us. Having allies is a good thing. “

Gabe simply shrugged. “ That’s all I need to hear. Should I.. fetch the unconscious.. Gabe, you said? “

Talos chuckled softly and lifted a hand to Stede’s shoulder. “ You see? We are a stealthy and clever species. We can infiltrate areas rather easily. Kr’all took his form, but not his memories, although we do have ways. “

” With a name like Stark, I’m not surprised. “ The others dispersed and Talos followed Steve a bit nervously as he guided them to medical. He didn’t know how far it was, but since it was just them now, he asked. “ So uh, what do you think of the real me? Too ugly? “ He self deprecated perhaps to put Steve at ease, but then sighed softly. “ I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you the whole truth. I wanted to, just.. wish it could’ve been just the two of us “

Steve chuckled when Talos said he wasn't surprised about Howard. They walked towards medical and, once alone, when Talos spoke, Steve stopped for a moment.

"I think it was incredibly brave of you to show us what you truly look like," he admitted quietly. "No, I don't believe you're ugly. Having never seen anyone like you before, I think you're probably handsome among your people. Humans don't always have the capacity to find beauty in things they don't understand. I was an artist before the war. Almost everything is beautiful to me." He smiled softly.

"It's okay, I understand," he promised. "I'm not angry with you for keeping your secret. You wanted to keep your people safe. I can certainly understand that."

Oh the cocky grin that came to his face at that comment. “ Well actually I am considered very good looking among my kind. “ He smirked softly to himself. Talos had honestly been worried what he might think of his true self. In a bold moment, and only so Steve could see, he shifted only his eyes to those beautiful violet color. “ I think it’s a universal thing, that artists see beauty in all things. “

He realized then no one was around them, so he reached up, pushed his fingers through his blonde hair. Oh that felt good, felt familiar. “ I’m no artist. I’m a soldier.. but you, Steve, you’re beautiful. “ He meant on all levels too. He saw such kindness in those blue eyes, even when he’d been at his most fierce.

He sighed softly in relief. “ Thank you for understanding. There were times I was dying to tell you.. but I couldn’t compromise their safety, just cuz I liked ya, mate. “ He winked softly, shifted his eyes to appear human again and continued their walk. “ Don’t ever let the world take your kindness away, even at its darkest moments. “

Steve laughed softly. "And obviously very modest," he teased in return. His breath caught slightly when Talos' eyes shifted to their natural violet color. He thought they were beautiful, honestly. But he'd already seen how the people around him had reacted when he'd been caught kissing the other man... he had to be careful.

He swallowed hard at those words and whispered out a "thank you" in an almost shaky voice. When the other pulled away, he took a slow breath and then moved by his side to continue their walk.

"My darkest moment so far was losing my best friend," he whispered after a moment. "Hydra took away what family I had left. I won't let them take away anything or anyone else..."

Talos frowned softly. “ I’m so sorry still, Steve. He seemed like a good man, and I’m sure if I’d told him what I was he’d have helped protect my people too. “ He wanted to reach out, hold onto his hand, but people were around. He’d seen how they reacted before to them kissing. Now he asked.

“ Do humans frown upon two people and f the same gender being together? I’m sure the bad guys frown upon it, but even your people seemed .. shocked? Do you only mate with females on your planet? “

"He was a good friend... brother... everything. He deserved better..." he trailed off in a slightly choked up voice. He sniffed for a moment before clearing his throat and then sighed softly.

"There are very, very few places in the world where relationships between same sex individuals isn't frowned upon," he admitted. "In Europe, it's punishable by hard labor in prison. In New York, where I'm from, you'd wind up in jail... if you lived long enough to make it to trial. It was a known fact, though never discussed, that if people in your community found out you were homosexual, they'd likely kill you before the police could find you."

What little was left of the population of Skrullos were on the run from the Kree. They had destroyed Skrullos, hunted Skrulls out of spite and just for sport. The atrocities committed upon his kind, still committed when found were immeasurable. Sadly here on earth, he was glimpsing a similar holocaust. 

He’d arrived on this planet not too long ago. Their ship had crashed in Europe, and had even been seen by some humans. Earth technology seemed so primitive, and he wasn’t sure if they could even fix it. And where would they run to? Thanks to Kree propaganda, they were an utterly despised species. No one knew of Kree on this planet. It seemed they mostly thought the universe consisted only of them. What small minds, but it worked in their favor. No one would be looking for them.

But they landed in a terrible time. They’d only crash landed shortly before war broke out. Some of the Skrulls rebelled against his leadership of staying put too, but the ones who stayed managed to blend in to the human population, make a small settlement out in the countryside. Others executed due to the human forms they took, most being civilians and too afraid to shift and fight back. It was a massacre. He’d even lost his daughter.

They’d ran from one awful situation to the next, and as alien creatures were out of place, especially Talos. Steve nodded and held out his hand to Talos, standing slowly as he did so. "You have my word, Talos. There will be no experimentations on you or your people. We simply wish to understand your dna composition and the like. There may be ways for you to help our people as well. For now, I'm to ask you about your ship? We can't have Hydra or the Nazis getting their hands on it, either. That would only make things worse. They've already got weapons we don't understand based on some cosmic cube that we're hunting for during this whole damn war."

Talos stood to his feet as well, eyeing his hand briefly, but of course he knew the custom here. This was the human way. He extended his arm, placed a green hand in his and shook it firmly.

“ Where my people are camped as I told you, about 70 clicks from here. But you’ll need to release me, so I can tell them everything, so they don’t just start fighting when you get near. More than likely, they’re already here. “

Phillips laughed. “ Here? No damn way there’s already.. what are they? Skrulls? Running around my base!! I don’t think so. “

Peggy facepalmed. “ They look just like us, Colonel. For all I know you’re one of them. .. except I doubt even one of them could replicate your stubborn ways. “

Talos moved around the table then and directly to Steve. Steve was taller, but he placed his hands on his shoulders, and leaned up, softly placing his forehead to his. “ This is how we say thank you.. and how we show affection. “ He let out a soft purr, then pulled his head back with a soft smile.

Steve glared at the mirrored wall again before turning his attention back to Talos as the man rounded the table and approached him. He was stiff for a moment before relaxing in to the hold itself and then pulled back with a smile of his own.

"Good to know," he answered. "All right. Come on out with me. I will properly introduce you to the others and take you to medical to get some blood drawn and then, I'll come with you to tell your people what is happening and see your ship..."

They stepped out of the interrogation room to where the others had already moved.

"General Talos, this is Colonel Phillips, commanding officer of our unit. Agent Peggy Carter. And Sargent Timothy Duggan of the Howling Commandos. The rest you can meet later, like Mr. Stark..."

In order to make the humans feel more comfortable, he shifted back into his human form. Also, if he was to be wandering the base, he needed to look human and blend in. So he exited the interrogation room, and after Steve introduced them, Peggy spoke first.

“ I feel like we’ve got off on rather the wrong foot, General Talos, and for that I apologize. “ She smiled to him softly. Best to be friends instead of enemies, though she did want to know what was up with him and Steve.

Talos nodded softly. “ Sorry for the whole uh.. chin grab earlier. The wound of her is still fresh. I guess as you humans would say, I’m sensitive about it. “

Peggy chuckled. “ I shouldn’t have said what I did, General. But we do have a war on and you just can’t trust anyone right now out on the front. But you have my word, your people will be well protected here. “

Talos offered a little smile and looked to the still grumbling Colonel, who made a snarky comment just as he always did, akin to the he’s still skinny comment. “ He’s still green. “

Which made Talos let out that loud bellowing laugh of his. “ And purple. You mustn’t forget the violet, it’s my best feature. “ He snickered.

Steve nodded and held out his hand to Talos, standing slowly as he did so. "You have my word, Talos. There will be no experimentations on you or your people. We simply wish to understand your dna composition and the like. There may be ways for you to help our people as well. For now, I'm to ask you about your ship? We can't have Hydra or the Nazis getting their hands on it, either. That would only make things worse. They've already got weapons we don't understand based on some cosmic cube that we're hunting for during this whole damn war."

Sure, Peggy was jealous, but she was also wanting to know what the hell he was and protect the sometimes naive Steve Rogers. But he had a point. She hated when he had a point.

“ I’m trying to protect you, Steve. You already have some sort of rapport with him. I don’t want your feelings to get in the way of national, and world security. “ She crossed her arms, looking off annoyed, and thinking. Then she looked back at him. “ I want to know what he is. He’s either human, or maybe a human with gifts. The CIA is currently studying a group such as this. They call them mutants. “

You said there are 70 of your kind in hiding, yes? You're looking for asylumn, correct? If we were to send you off this planet, Talos, would you be in danger of imminent death and would you leaving this planet lead to the extinction of your people?"

He was wording it this way on purpose. If Talos answered this questions and phrased it as a desire for asylumn, then Steve was going to demand it be given. He would not let Phillips or Peggy or anyone else throw what was left of an entire civilization off the planet and leave them to die. He'd fight his own people, first.

He was wording it this way on purpose. If Talos answered this questions and phrased it as a desire for asylumn, then Steve was going to demand it be given.
