Donāt be scared š Say what you have to say.
Iām sorry, but the fall of the Spring Court doesnāt count as ārevealing Tamlinās true natureā when Feyre had to forcibly change the narrative and the picture he saw to make him turn on his sentries. She forced his hand in a vulnerable political position in front of people who are all but enemies, waiting for any sign of weakness.
Also, that sentry admitting that Ianthe was to blame so late is probably what sewed the doubt in Tamlinās mind. If the sentry had seen Ianthe do it, why hadnāt he said anything beforehand? Why had he waited till the sentries themselves were blamed? It just reeks of a last-ditch lie.
Iām so tired of that argument that Feyre was just ārevealing Tamlinās true natureā. Itās not his true nature if he has to be fed an artificial story for him to make the decision Feyre wants him to make. Even if that werenāt true, the absolute stupidity of destabilizing the entire Court while on the brink of war, effectively kicking off the start of said war when half of Prythian doesnāt even know whatās going on is baffling. Itās baffling. Itās really, really idiotic.
Not to mention, it has been established in book 1 that Tamlin had good camaraderie with his people. So much so that they voluntarily crossed the wall to help him break the curse. This goes against what she was trying to convey.
I find it funny that the fandom continuously bring up this point to enable Feyreās magical abuse and manipulation of somebody who has the same, if not more, amount of trauma that she has. For a fandom that constantly cries āableistā to those who understand Tamlinās side, they are quick to dismiss the abusive ways Rhys and Feyre have been to others as well.
And quite frankly, what I pick up from Feyreās so called ābadassery revengeā is homegirl lacked critical thinking skills and is unfit to govern over anybody because her emotions trumped over āthe greater good.ā Like, she is either stupid as to not think of the consequences of leaving Spring Court vulnerable, how that may affect the tide of war and the innocents living in it or she just does not give a f because she lives in Night Court now. Either way, it doesnāt look good on her no matter how the fandom paints it. You either acknowledge manipulation, emotional and mental abuse here or you donāt. Perspectives, beeches.
Tamlin Week, Day 1: Spring
The Spring Court was a land of rolling green hills and lush forests and clear, bottomless lakes. Magic didnāt just abound in the bumps and hollowsāit grew there.

Idk if it is ever mentioned in the books about tamlin's nails, but i always imagined him with pointy long ass nails as if he used those acrilyc nails xD
Funny you mention because at one point, I thought they came out of his knuckles, like Wolverine. I still can't wrap my head around that they come out of his actual fingers. Like do his nails turn into claws? Or do they retract & the claws come out? Ha. How does this work?
Iāve been on a long hiatus because I love to live it up every Summer. Iām an outdoors gal. With that said, I think I am mentally prepared to continue my reread of ACOMAF. Lmao. I havenāt finished it since May because I couldnāt stand Feyre. You know itās bad when you need a long as/s break to continue.Ā
Will you be participating in Tamlin Week? There's an anti Tamlin Week blog that just appeared, and I think the official one could use some support.
@tamlinweek is the official one.
Tamlinweek2022 is the anti masquerading as the actual week. (It's so childish. I'm not linking to them but they're easy enough to find.)
Wait I missed this! When was it?!
Not people saying Tamlin worked with Amarantha š©
Are they sure they werenāt talking about Rhysand? š
Asking a bunch of people this: if you could change one thing about ACOTAR, what would it be?
Rhysand should have stayed a villain. I'd drool all over full-on villain Rhysand.
PSA:
āFind your Rhysand in a world full of Tamlinsā doesnāt mean what you think it means. Yeah, no. Not it. This is where you draw a line between fiction vs. reality because essentially, youāre looking for another abuser. In fact, a solid, manipulative abuser.
Whoās gonna tell them? š«”
Is it just me or was Feyres breakdown a little dramatic like, youāre not trapped in a room youāre trapped in a fucking mansion. Sarah could have at least had him trap her in something smaller than a small hotel.
Hi anon! You know, PTSD is a fickle monster. Imo, I don't think it was dramatic at all. Sure where she was confined is comfortable, but the thought of being locked up itself can make that whole manor feel like a death trap. I know because I have PTSD myself. When i am triggered, nothing in my surrounding is beautiful. I want to escape, crawl out of my skin and catch my breath. I've had a panic attack in my room, my safe haven that I purposely decorated to be my relaxation place, and I can tell you that none of that matter in the middle of my attack. One thing I am still thinking about though is her situation in Velaris mirroring the one in SC. She's limited either way; with the exception that one is much larger, gives more freedom if you will but not so free because she's stuck there unless Rhysand or somebody in the IC gets her out, but it isn't just in the house. Again, I'm sure her triggers played a role with her reaction. We have to consider that her trauma is tied with Tamlin. That makes a lot of things about Tamlin a potential trigger for her.
Hello there! what are your thoughts on Tamlin possibly handing the Spring court to Lucien and him living a quiet content life regardless of an SO⦠just looking for a fresh non-tamlin hater perspective, I wonder if this might genuinely be something that would make Tamlin happy
Hi anon! I don't think Tamlin can just hand Spring Court even if he wanted to, since the Magic chooses who will be the next High Lord. We've seen that birth order isn't significant but rather it picks via strength, etc. so Iām not sure if he is able to pass it to somebody who isnāt in his bloodline unless he dies.Ā I'm equally as curious as you are on what is going to happen to Spring Court and if Lucien will find out about his biological father. Maybe something will happen to Helion & the magic will choose Lucien to rule his court? As far as Tamlin, there is this theory going around about the human girl he saved along with Feyre and the IC from Hybern's camp named, Briar, being his mate. Given TAR's beauty & the beast background and the symbolic meaning behind her name, I think it is possible. What I want to know is if he will tie his life to her human life (which I am highly against). Like the guy deserves to have Spring Court ran the way he envisioned it - different from his father's, and healed and happy. Whether love is involved, I wouldn't mind. Just none of the stupid life pact FeySand did. Lol
F/ACK THIS UNGRATEFUL WENCH A THOUSAND TIMES. RESPECTFULLY.Ā
āI am not him,ā Rhys breathed.Ā āI will never be him, act like him. He locked you up and let you wither, and die.āĀ
TOTES DID NOT AGE WELL, Rhysand. He shielded her from her loved ones. To me, it has the same vibe as being locked up. Why is she being shielded around her friends and family? And Feyre was withering on her own accord. Nobody should ever be held responsible for someone elseās mental health. Because in retrospect, Feyre did the same to Tamlin. Die.. huh? When did Tamlin let Feyre die? UTM? Rhysand was in a better position to do more at that very second than Tamlin. Yeah, no. And also, Feyreās life was on the line when he decided to withhold information about her pregnancy. Tamlin would never.Ā hdakdfjaldj
For a supposed progressive Inner Circle, I like how not one of them, not Amren, Mor, Cass or Az express any problem with Rhysand taking Feyre to Hewn City to get groped on solely to make a statement. Especially after what Mor went through in that place. Why continue the objectification of women and reinforce it by seemingly having a wh/ore? Did any of them suggest to Rhysand that maybe, maybe, to start reinforcing something, he has to set an example as their HL?
LIKE LOLZ. Wut. This is such a strange take.Ā
Fandom: Tamlin being cruel to his sentry catalyzed Feyreās plan to destroy his court. It wouldnāt have happened if he wasnāt such a brutal HL.Ā
But also the fandomās High King, Rhysand: Punishes people in HC for the fu/ck of it.Ā Okurrr. Bet you wonāt use that against him. Yāall are the worse when it comes to analyzing. Shut up.Ā
This followed after Rhysand expressed not wanting to be a HL too. She went there. This girl went there and brought Tamlin even lower.Ā Tamlin has completely changed the way Spring Court is governed. During TAR, Tamlin mentioned not believing in enforcing ranks. His father was known for abusing power and his brutality. Hence his close ties with Hybern and Amarantha. His father killed humans. Tamlin, is about one of the few HLs, who have been shown to have remorse for humans. There are evidence to back this up sprinkled all over TAR.Ā Not to mention that he fell in love with a human. Tamlin CHANGED a lot in Spring court. He had a vision. A vision different than his fatherās.Ā
āWith the will and desire and passion to do itāĀ idk. So much desire and passion yet he hasnāt done squat to change HC or Illyria. People have mentioned that he could not due to ancient treaties, etc. Um no. Rhysand has broken numerous sacred Prythian laws, rules, and treaties. He may as well do the same to actually change and do something about the oppression happening in his court.Ā Also, I thought this was worth noting, Rhysand in TAR:Ā āNoāand how could he? Not with the shame of his father and brothersā brutality always weighing on him, the poor, noble beast. But perhaps if heād bothered to learn a thing or two about cruelty, about what it means to be a true High Lord, it would have kept the Spring Court from falling.ā This isnāt Rhysand with his fake persona on. We were shown that he actually rules this way. Heās perfectly okay with Az torturing for information. His governing over Hewn City is based on intimidation and violence. For example, he broke Kierās arm for calling Feyre a wh/ore. There is no sense of comradery between him and those running HC and illyria for him, but mainly a relationship where one is feared and one is afraid. Rhysand governs using scare tactics everywhere else in his court but Velaris. And he actually uses this as well towards the whole Prythian. Hence, why he feels the need to maintain being so cunning and brutal so that he remains respected out of fear.Ā
