the newborn vampire was pleased that when she was turned she had self-control since it allowed her to be around humans a lot sooner than most newborns. her eyes were still bright red, she tried to wear contacts, but they didn’t last long and it was late at night, so she doubted no human would notice if she ran into any of them. hope had a light with her and sat in the grass, painting the night sky. she loved coming out here at night and painting the night life here. the vampire heard something and held up her paint brush as a weapon, she still wasn’t use to being a vampire and being able to defend herself. “who is there?”

Since her arrival in the small town of Forks, she had spent the majority of her time wandering down the streets, woods, and business establishments, mingling with humans, trying to figure out what was going on. So far, however, she had not discovered anything of value. Nobody seemed to understand what was going on. And the humans - they appeared to be ordinary, ignorant. “Just me.”, Tanya announced herself as she stepped closer to the newborn vampire, waving her hands in the air. “I mean no harm.”, she said, awkwardly, as her gaze expected the stranger. It wasn't often that she came across newborns who had been left on their own. “What are you doing here?”, she asked.
