Friday

Oooh quite a bad headache overnight. Dunno what's up with that.

Man I went to play my proposterously expensive John Petrucci model 7 string guitar yesterday and it is FUCKED I believe due to the cold temps in that room especially overnight. So the next i think has straighten so the strings kinda just sit against the frets and do no make notes when played. Fortunately I'm headed to the suburbs today anyway so it can go to be adjusted. I feel like I never do not have to take a guitar for repair or adjustment lately.

Played my 1992 red Washburn on Weds and that was horrible and all. I may put new strings on it myself. Of course i play it so infrequently it seems silly to put new strings on just to hang it back on the wall, leave it 2 years, pick it up again and go "ooh these strings need changed" and repeat. All the others are super nice though.

Will do a quick little back session, then shave, shower, pack a bag, load the car, secure the premises, and head off around noon i guess.

Thursday

Hmm

I'm in a good little groove here with training and music and such which i'm quite enjoying.

however am getting quite low on firewood so will need to go to the suburbs. i could hold out longer but this would interfere with PT on tuesday which i have already been paid for. The money i have been paid for PT will be spent on fuel to go to the suburbs to bring back free firewood so that i don't have to spend money on heat. There is a flaw in this system somewhere.

I believe tomorrow is the anniversary of moving into this house, because insurance is due. Land tax also due. Both are scams but whattayagonnado?

Shoulders and arms coming up in the gym.

I shall consider my movements while doing that.

Weds

Yesterday was pretty good man like abysmal weather although certainly not as cold as.... which day was it? Sunday? One of the days was extra cold.

Trained legs in the morning and then guitar in the afternoon. I feel like I'm in a good little groove with that as a routine now. Like it's not much but if you told me at 15 "one day you're just gonna get up, train in your private gym in the morning, have a different guitar for each day of the week and spend the afternoons playing them and not having any visitors, and then read a book in the evening" i'd have thought that sounded pretty ideal.

Quite low on firewood by now though so... hmm.

Back day coming up today and more guitar and synths and so on after.

Pizza later obviously.

Tuesday

BRRRRRR Absolutely smashed with wind and rain last night. I have a bad feeling my firewood in the carport may be soaked. cos it rains around corners here for real. grey and horrible today and all. hibernation season.

however I am UP because legs day. local accomplice will be in attendence assuming roads are not underwater, which has been known to happen. Such is life on an ithmus.

Will be doing fuck all else obviously.

Monday

Brr Yesterday was cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. And also windy. This time of year it always gets super windy. I know because i think this week would be the.... 8th? anniversary of moving into the house. And the first few weeks after moving in were freeaakin diabolical.

I have cut chopped and otherwise prepared all remaining firewood stocks and piled outside the back door. There is not a lot. Although despite how cold it was yesterday i got the house v comfortable without really using a lot. But will be lucky to last until the weekend. Hmm.

Did a bit of guitar and some synth stuff for my projects in the afternoon and evening which will no doubt continue today.

And need to go to the store for oven fries and such. Air frier fries, really.

Sunday

Brrrrrrrrr Here's that wind, as well. We did get a decent soak of rain overnight but not the extreme torrential downpour that I feared, so that's fine. Still some blue in the sky today so I'll quite literally look on the bright side.

Deadlifts coming up. Lower back was inexplicably a little tender yesterday though so i might not push my luck too far.

Probably some guitar n stuff after. I'm not doing much else while it's cold.

Saturday

Oooh i slept in a little bit. After all, why shouldn't I?

Yesterday was not bad featuring back n biceps in the gym, tractored the lawns, line trimmed anywhere the tractor couldn't tractor, chopped some firewood... then got notification my new electric toothbrush heads were awaiting collection at the post office, so went to get those, had a look in the famous op shop, refrained from purchasing anything there, grabbed a few necessary items at the supermarket, and back home again. Was a nice day for it.

Nice again so far this morning but that looks to end this afternoon and stay ended for quite a few days to come. Oh well.

Giant sets coming up in the gym.

Man i need to get an extractor fan installed but one that actually come outside the roof. I spent a lot of money on a dehumidifier already a couple of winters ago but i should have just done that. Hmm.

Looks another nice day outside anyway. it is been nice all week other than cool temps. Looks like we will pay for it next week though. I guess that's fair.

Back day and stuff coming up.

BRRRRRRRRR quite glad of my RCAC this morning quite honestly.

Should be a nice day though other than cool temps.

Hmm. I may go a drive into Foster to get a soft toothbrush and toothpaste from the dentist. My gums are not happy ATM i think from those stupid toothbrush heads i bought for the electric toothbrush. Supposedly gum care brushes but they're shit.

ugh a fucking bird just fell down the chimney i think. certainly a lot of loud noise.... update: yes a bird. why are they so dumb.

Wednesday

Uhhh yesterday was alright I guess.

Trained legs, cut some firewood, played / recorded some guitar, tweaked some drum parts.

Oh also fixed some broken... I dunno what you would call them... rubber padding pieces from my yellow powertech machine. glued them back together. I'm cautiously optimistic of success.

Also groceries. Forget teabags though because i'm stupid. So i will be going back. Imagine living more than 200m from the store. That would be inconvenient.

Back day coming up in a bit and then back to work on music. I gotta finish this one i've been working on and then on to the next. The next one is complicated, it may take me the rest of the year. Or at least the rest of the season.

Brrr it's a bit cool this morning. Yesterday was actually really nice all day. This is not too bad either though.

Did a bit of guitar and stuff yesterday. and firewood cutting and such.

Legs day coming up! Local accomplice running late apparently.

We'll see what after that. I need to buy either rolls or rice. Decisions decisions.

Monday

Home sweet home.

The forecast actually looks pleasant for this week. And it's not currently windy, at all. If it remains not windy I'll be quite satisfied.

Without fail if i go stay at my mother's for 2 - 3 days and just free range eat too much bread and cheese and all the rest of it I will be 300g lighter on the first morning after I get home. 300g. Every time. Curious, no?

Thinking about buying an Al Bundy "No Ma'am" shirt and joining the manosphere. Don't ask. (or, do ask)

Chest day will be happening shortly.

We'll see what else man mostly firewood cutting I guess and then I will resume guitar related activities now that I have the required guitar home again.

Not much to report but I'll be loading up and heading home at some point today. Woke up a little confused to be in the wrong house for a split second. It is very comfortable here (a little too comfortable if anything) but i need to get back to my regular life.

Saturday Morning

Funny stuff I got asked out to "dancehall picante vs perreo caliente" last night and when i looked it up it was actually at a venue i used to run the door of at... some point... i wannna say less than 20 years ago but more than 15 years ago. Can you freakin' imagine ME at 52 years old being the only gringo in that room, as a patron? Lawd.

Realising things were close to 20 years ago never gets better man. Good gawd above.

Anyway I am awaiting updates from the Yanakie Isthmus re CONDITIONS but i strongly suspect i am better off staying put in Carrum Downs for now.

Will do a little improv workout outside in a little while. I actually really enjoyed that last time i was here. Bodyweight and bands and TRX and there's an EZ bar i bought yesterday.

We'll see what else man i think my mother has some ideas for outings.

Friday Evening Edition

man first of all i keep thinking it is Saturday, get it together, brain.

so this concert last night was bloody sensationa. "Joscho Stephan Trio" doing gypsy jazz. Absolute shred fest on acoustic guitars and upright bass. Amazing. Highly recommended.

Today did bargain hunting and acquired 1x ez curl bar and some small weights for the local accomplice. Saw LOTS of bargain weights and bars but maaaaaan... even when a short olympic bar is TEN BUCKS already have too much stuff quite honestly.

Then Kmart & Choice Discount Store where i got new underwearz (ladies expect pics next week) and head clippers and a puffer jacket and sports nutrition haul to last a couple of weeks. By which i mean lollies and chocolate and energy drinks and electrolytes.

Uhhh that's all i guess.

Thursday

Ugh I have a slight headache again and also it is WINDY.

Have got this jazz gig tonight which i agreed to because i thought my mate was stuck with no one else to go with but it turns out there will be 5 males going including myself. All people i'm familiar with so that's ok but probably would have sat it out otherwise.

Still i need to see my mother, do some jobs there possibly, collect a repaired guitar, bring back firewood again...

Will do a quick little shoulders and arms session to see if it moves this headache and then get it together for travelling.
