Care for a drink anyone? || Trevor & Tara
Trevor could tell that Tara was a little bit resistant in allowing him to ask his question. He didn’t want to make it awkward, but there was just something that he needed to know before he was able to move on. Trevor made sure not to look her in the eyes when he asked his question, “Is there…” he cleared his throat, “Could I have done anything…to change your mind? About me? About us?” He mumbled the last part, biting down on his lower lip lightly, afraid of her reaction.
"You? No, I don't think so." Tara shook her head and looked out into the distance. "I know everyone always says that they're the problem but this time, I really am honest when I say that I'm the problem. I mean, your feelings were there, mine just weren't and that's not your fault nor anyone else's. You couldn't possibly have made me feel differently. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying that I didn't like it, nor that I don't like you. I guess the time just wasn't right." Tara didn't know what else to say, she had tried to be as honest as possible. To some extent, she kind of hoped that it would work out between the two of them but she knew that she would have difficulty dedicating herself to their relationship.
