Surf Lifesaving NSW now has over 75,000 members who actively patrol over 1500kms of the NSW coastline in the summer months. Surf Lifesaving NSW stems from the New South Wales Surf Bathing Association formed in 1907. They patrol our beaches from September through to April and will rack up 650,000 in that time frame. As well as patrolling beaches, members can also train in education, training new members and operating the communications room at HQ. They work tirelessly along side the paid life savers and here you can see them at Freshwater Beach, Sydney NSW.
