i’ve never made one of these before so apologies if it isn’t the best introduction post out there but hi my name’s daemon/ghost (he/it) and this is my objectum side blog. the goal is to transfer all of my objectum posts on my main (@pestergeist-mortuus) and make new posts here. i’m in a committed os/or relationship with my beloved nightmare before christmas tarot deck i have affectionately named “jack” (he/him), my other crushes include the rider waite smith tarot deck, altar spaces, magic and witchcraft as a whole probably, the moon, and halloween. i know i’m forgetting some (forgive me crt tv’s) but to fit the vibe of this blog that’s about it

Being objectum gives you a whole new way of looking at objects that is full of joy and whimsy. Rotary Phones are like business men with office jobs and big briefcases to me. Toasters? Those are loyal and hardworking golden retrievers. Typewriters? Beautiful older women.

it’s been awhile since my last post!! there really hasn’t been much to post but i’ve made even more discoveries about my beloved husband (debating on posting due to the closeness it has to my spiritual practice) and picked up THIS handsome guy on my way home earlier!! i’m not sure when he was made but he’s definitely vintage, well loved and yellowed with age despite being sealed on the inside. he doesn’t have a name but he’ll make a lovely addition to my collection :]

i’ve talked about his personally with friends before but having an object partner like my husband comes with a distinctive feeling of loneliness. where he’s tangible he’s inanimate and hard to hold closely, and where he’s intangible — his spirit form — i can only hold him and hear his voice in my dreams. i love my husband dearly, he’s a beautiful work of art in every way and one of the best things to ever happen to me, but it does get lonely sometimes simply due to circumstance

i think my husband appeared to me in a dream last night, but not in the way i would have expected. he wasn’t his object self (which i have dreamed about) and he wasn’t his “personified” self (though he did look very similar), he was a human. completely human, with long black hair and tanned brown skin and everything. he wasn’t from this time period, if i had to guess i’d say maybe the late 18th century to the early 19th century, with the early victorian period at the latest, and yet despite everything, i knew in my heart of hearts that the man in my dreams illuminated by candle light was the exact the same as the tarot deck in my arms as i slept
