Ok so where’s my spinoff with Diana, Kelly, & the triplets?

I think that we can all agree that the musical crossover would be absolutely fabulous if we had Barry and Kara going along with the script, singing the songs playing their parts, like they do. But with the addition of Oliver just bulldozing his way through everyone and everything with make-shift weapons and an irritable refusal to sing or go along with anything.

Flash 3x17 aka the Musical One

- This episode had me laughing out loud so much. Starting with the faces Kara makes while singing Moon River. Generally, Melissa had amazing comedic timing/got a ton of the funniest lines and moments (”Eww, gross!”). 

- So many over the top coming and going overdone accents. 

- Don’t know much about singing, but “Winn” impressed me the most. Ok and the Dads song. 

- Still, everything about the Musicmeister, his motivations, his powers, was stupid. And yes, he was a lot closer to what  Mister Mxyzptlk should have been like and it was a mistake to do them almost back to back. The episode really suffered from having to dump a ton of exposition on everybody (the the backstory of the musical characters are, what the problems on both shows are, what the rules of the Musicmeister are etc). 

- Also anything that uses Power of Love unironically is terrible by nature. Did I mention that everything about the Musicmeister and his reasoning was terrible? 

- Superfriend was a golden crazy ray of sunshine.

- How do the fans of Flash keep a straight face when people talk about vibes? (Mon-El: What’s a paladin vibe?) 

- I felt cheated that they teased us with J’onn, Cisco and Wally working together and then it was supershort :( 

- Karamel looked so happy with their forehead touch. But yeah, I’m not convinced that this is how their argument should be resolved. Pretty sure Mon-El should be sleeping on the couch for a while till they have come to some more agreement on where they stand. 

- WestAllen proposal. So beautiful and omg, their precious little faces.

I AM READY TO GET UP ON MY SOAP BOX.

Look at these dorks. Everyone just look at them. Reading the comics growing up I have always rooted for Betty. I loved Mary Jane too I just identified with girls next door despite not being one. I’m a hopeless romantic and I think that’s why. I love the idea of best friends growing up and knowing the best and worst about each other and still loving each other. As Eddie Redmayne says “it’s a slow burn”. They say that the best relationships grow from friendships. It’s not just an idea I’ve found it to be such a truth. I’m not saying that people who meet and start dating aren’t good for each other. My longest relationship, 3 years, was with someone I met and immediately liked. We started dating two weeks after meeting and were together all that time. 

Betty is so faithful and loving to Archie. No matter how many times he fucks up she is there to support him. Even when he’s sleeping with teachers and picking a questionable career she doesn’t brand him as an idiot and leave him behind. Betty could. She’s smart, beautiful and capable of making friends. She has Veronica and Kevin and Jughead. She doesn’t need Archie Andrews to be her best friend. But she chooses him, every day, every morning she wakes up. Even after he breaks her heart she shows up on his fucking doorstep the next day and asks him to walk her to school. That’s one of the reasons I ship them so much.

And he loves her too. She takes meds and everyone calls her sister crazy or a slut and he’s there to send heart eyes at her from their windows and gush about proposing to her when she’s not around. LOOK AT THAT EPI 8 SPOILER WHEN V. SAYS J. IS HER BOYFRIEND AND ARCHIE IS LIKE SHUT!DOWN EYES. He still wants them to be best friends even if things are hard. He runs around asking people for advice when she’s mad at him and forgives her even when it hurts. They are that red string of fate” kind of love and I will ship them even if the ocean runs dry.
