i miss when i was living at a house where i was constantly inspired to take photos. i think in 2013 i took the most photos ever in my life.
that same year we went to old noarlunga, a place that has huge importance to me personally. growing up my grandparents lived on the main road of old noarlunga. this hiking trail was one of the places where we would go for walks with their dog (polly, rip) on the weekends when they babysat my brother and i.
a few years ago, i took trav to kuitpo forest because it was one of the places i liked going to when i was younger.
corrupted images that i managed to recover off of a broken hard drive, which met an unhappy fate with the ground. kinda bummed i could barely recover much salvageable images, since the ones that were lost were predominantly for uni assessment and photos of my friends new born baby... (im sure ive got the original disks that the film was copied onto somewhere but there is A LOT to go through). these were the only left that were not too corrupted that my computer couldnt read them.
I did a massive film drop a few weeks back of rolls accumulated over like a year. I wasnt sure what was even on each roll except for the most recent, so it was both cool and shit seeing what was on each. (shit bc the place i got these developed at fucked a lot of my light balance and contrast but i digress) these photos came from maybe ever 2015(?) can’t be certain, when we went on a hike through waterfall gully. it was a real over-casted cloudy day, from memory. but i at least managed to get a few okay shots.
Intro/About Me
This is going to be awkward and dumb but uh I'm Tash, I live in Adelaide. I've been doing film photography since I was about 14 (i’m 27 now). I still much prefer shooting w film SLR (I'm hopeless w digital idk I can't seem to grasp it). I've also studied black/white photo lab stuff, worked in commercial photo labs, and studied photography on and off -- studying wasn't for me tho, it's too rigid and I didn't enjoy it. My preferred "style" or whatever is mainly found still life and conceptual, but I've been experimenting w design principals too (colour, contrast, texture, patterns, etc) so I really like finding that sorta stuff out and about. I primarily shoot with a Pentax K1000 - it's my oldest camera (I've had it for about 8 years) and so it's the one I'm most comfortable using, but I have about five other SLRs in my collection. The rest are lomo and toy and Polaroid cameras that I basically never use bc I'm over that phase now. Anyways that's it. Bye
