The Welcome is a cultural practice that has been conducted for thousands of years by Aboriginal people across Australia, and is a process of inviting people onto your ancestral Country. In Nyoongar protocol, our Elders often ask the good spirits to watch over the person and keep them safe whilst travelling through our Country.
It was an honour to conduct this Welcome for Harry and everyone that was present. The silence and respect from the crowd was also very heart-warming.
We look forward to more artists, local and international, including these important protocols when travelling throughout Australia, to different Aboriginal Countries.
