@papa-connor – think b4 u speak, no one is profiting off the lineart unless youre selling the lineart itself, duh. artists make money off of selling lineart people can profit from. ask waitress herself on FA. she makes bank and one of the selling points IS that you can use the lineart for designing. but nice try. maybe open another tab that isnt CoAL, Lioden, or Tumblr.
@razzmatazz1 “sometimes people don’t want their work to be used for designs used for profit, or they ONLY want them used for profit on one or two very specific sites. You can’t assume that everything is the same."
(this response is directed at razz's response, not this post) thats not what anon said, i dont think they are assuming anything? they specifically brought up an example from an artist who does want their lineart used for profit and is very public about it. Thats why waitress (the user anon is referencing is a popular artist on Furaffinity) sold her lines for $50 (it’s been a few years since I bought mine from her but in total I must’ve spent around $100 for her quality linework). I don’t see why you’re arguing this point, it’s obvious from their earlier post they bought the lineart. It’s not that hard to provide proof, just grab a screenshot. And about the argument of just commission a LD artist, lmk when you find someone who's work is up to par with waitress, lol. I agree, i think its silly you have to go as far as you do to sell designs, but on the same token, there are idiots who try and take advantage of artists not checking lioden and selling them without real permission.
anywho i see both sides, peace and lions or whatever pals
