Our house is officially Christmas ready. I spent the weekend purchasing some new decorations since its been a few years since our initial decoration purchase, and back then it was all about what was affordable for our condo at the time. However now that we've been settled in our house for the last few years, I feel like it's time to do some upgrades to our purchases. I still really want a new tree, ours has seen better days (aka b.c - 'before cats'), but alas it doesn't make sense to get a new one until we move houses and have room for a seriously large and full tree. So for now I'll have to settle for new ornaments for the time being. I'm trying to stick to the non cheesy decorations now, aka trying to limit my tinsel intake. It's been hard but I'm managing. I know some people hate tinsel, but it's hard to hate something so traditionally Christmas and linked to many childhood memories. Other than getting holiday ready I'm settling back into regular life fairly fine I think after all the wedding hub bub and the honeymoon high has settle (we went to Thailand btw). Now it's just life again. Although having Christmas to focus on has been nice. Next project though is definitely going to be all about the house and redecorating.
