I got my first dose of the COVID vaccine today. Initially when I found out I was eligible, I was of two minds about it (at least two!), and had a lot of conflicting feelings. But now I feel very pleased and happy that my little household and my community will be safer. If you are grappling with whether, why, how, where, etc, I’m very happy to share my experience with you. Getting an appointment was a labyrinthine and Kafkaesque process. If you have any elders in your life who are on their own, such as neighbors or family friends, you might want to offer to help them with scheduling an appointment.
