She had seen the Prince of Zimbabwe in passing. A quiet smile and a nod as they would go past each other in the large halls of the castle, but Alys had mostly kept to herself. Grief on her mind more than anything. It’s why she was grateful for the current Valentine’s Day event they were both attending as it was a chance to be more social, “Are you a fellow Welsh speaker?” Her smile widened, “Not one for hard alcohol myself, but I’m quite certain if you requested it, someone would bring it in for you. And aside from those pesky nerves of speaking with people I’ve yet to meet, doing just fine. Taking this as an opportunity to put myself out there and forget about my worries for a day.”
Taurayi shook his head. “I understand enough to get me by, but I’m far from a Welsh conversationalist,” he said as he took a bite of some of the food out on the table. It was a very strange format to have them engage in small talk with each table, but he wasn’t hating it entirely. “Nah... it’s best that I don’t. I should be on my best behavior in front of such company as yourself. And what worries are you trying to wish away? I didn’t think that a place such as this warranted worrying.”
