I’d like to tell you a story about one of the most incredible and unbelievable things that happened to me.
Last year, on December 11th I got a message that said:
“Hi beautiful girl ♡
My name is Claire, I live in Australia! I read your story from your Taylor post and it was so inspiring, you’re truly an amazing girl, both inside and out! Anyway, when I got my copy of 1989 - I loved all the polaroids too and in my packet I got two from Clean. I know how important the song is to you, and I’d love to send you my two Clean polaroids if you want them ♡ ♡
Message me back if you get a chance, otherwise have a magnificent day!
Love Claire :)”
Next day, we started talking on Facebook and soon became friends. Claire is one of those people that give you faith and make you believe that the world is a good place. She’s a real ray of sunshine, so positive, lovely, and caring. One thing that I seem to be good at is finding wonderful people who live thousands of miles away. But even with her on the other side of the world, everything was perfect.
She did send me the 1989 polaroids - and not just two but her entire set of 13. That’s how nice she is.
And this last weekend, starting on December 11th, 2015 - I met her. It was the most amazing friendship anniversary ever, because I would have never imagined that it’s possible. Yet here she was and let me tell you, she’s ever nicer in person. We spent hours talking, sightseeing, watching Taylor’s videos, just being together. And somehow that was everything. Claire, I’m so thankful to have you ️<3
@taylorswift, you fully deserve a thank you as you’re a big big part of all of this. Not only you seem to be an incredible friend to everyone you meet, but also thanks to you - friendships start.
I still can’t believe that it all happened. It makes me realise that although my life isn’t perfect in at least a few areas, I’m very lucky to have my friends. Even from Australia.
