A quirky piece; a fish sculpture constructed from discarded plastic bottles rises out of the sand at Botafogo beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 19, 2012
In korea this interesting installation is created by using what they could find as a place for this installation - what better place than a tree from nature itself?!
'Umbrella trees'
After choosing umbrellas as a second object; I have researched into different installation pieces using this object. This is one of my favourites! The way the light is captured is beautifully dreamy!
Alexander Liberman - Entwined lll
Patrick Doherty - Willow
Roxy Paine - The modern Fort Worth
The Bloomberg Commission: Giuseppe Penone: Spazio di Luce
In visiting the Whitechapel Gallery, this is the piece that stuck out most of all! The artist, Giuseppehas created a twelve metre bronze cast of a tree, with a gold-leaf interior. Looking through the centre is breathtaking - the light is captured beautifully on the goldleaf and through the gaps in the piece.
I believe this is Tony Cragg although it didn't officially say.
The use of contour lines creates varied shapes and shadows.
I love that this piece is outside - it captures the natural light which emphasises the use of contour lines and also the colour.
Although this isn't installation or necessarily art - but I have to admit how beautiful and interesting the architecture is! This is the V&A gallery - the building on its own is quite good looking; but when explored further the different layers and small details creates something more.
I love this - the way the space is used so evenly. The contrast in scale between the chairs
Dale Chihuly at the V&A
His use of colours and shapes is beautiful
Cones outside the V&A 2
Outside of the V&A
Such a cool idea - the road cones are a different colour to how we would usually see them!
Beautiful shapes; interesting contour lines and minimalist colors
