In honour of Harrison Ford's 78th birthday today, here are some reasons as to why this man is one of the greatest inspirations in my life:
Harrison is the perfect proof that you don't need an Oscar to be considered a hell of an actor and a Hollywood legend. Heck, he's the best. What I love most about him is that he's using his position and privilege to bring attention to important things in life such as our environment. We need change and that is a fact. I love how he travels around the world to different places in order to spread environmental messages that need to be said and heard. There are people, who believe climate change is a hoax. You don't have to believe in science to just notice natural catastrophes around the world. Why would someone be against making our only home cleaner? Why are some people actively avainst protecting the only land we have? Our beautiful Earth is filled with so many miracles and wonders.
"We need to protect what we have. We need to restore what we have lost. And we need to defund the mechanisms, the perverse tax subsidies, the lending policies and the institutional investments that fuel deforestation."
As a person that loves nature and wildlife, this means everything to me. The fact alone that the man I am looking up to, has the same opinion on that topic, makes me so proud and emotional.
He has done a few environmental documentaries and even saved a hiker's life. He's what you consider a real life hero.
His movies have had - and still do have such a huge influence on so many people's lives. The characters that he's portrayed couldn't have been portrayed any better by anyone else. He's irreplaceable for these roles.

I can't imagine life without his brilliance in it. No one can. Harrison is undeniably an icon to Millions of people. His very unique persona keeps me going. He is a witty philanthropist with a dry sense of humor. Not everyone gets it, which I personally find even funnier. You never know what this man is up to next. He is very committed to his roles - at least when shooting. I can only imagine how annoyed he must be when it comes to Han Solo or Indiana Jones (even though he seemed pretty excited about the upcoming fifth movie, which can only mean one thing... 😭), but we can't help ourselves, Harrison! We love these characters way too much :D
There are simply not enough words to describe what an extraordinary man Mr. Ford is. I mean, come on! They even named an ant species after him! You may look it up, if you don't believe me, it's hilarious XD
