Cassandra was used to the late hours that her husband worked at the Ministry. In fact, in the past couple of weeks, she’d been working late hours as well. The breakouts from Azkaban had the Ministry in quite the tizzy. When Tiberius didn’t come home on time, Cassandra expected it. She didn’t know what he was working on, but she could tell that it was something maddening judging by the tension in his shoulders. The brunette made dinner for their daughter and then put her to bed, before sitting the living room and waiting for her husband to come home. She was flipping through a book when Tiberius finally made his presence known. “Hi,” Cassandra greeted him with a smile. “How was your day?” She took the flowers into her arms and pressed another kiss to his lips. “They’re beautiful, thank you. I suppose this’ll earn you something,” she teased.
“My dag was okay, love, how was yours?” It was a good feeling to be home with his wife. The man knew his wife worked extra hours too and that more than ever they needed these quiet moments together. A playful smirk appeared on Tiberius' lips when Cassandra teased him, “Mm, I think...” he began, pressing a quick kiss to her lips, “it should earn me a few more of those kisses because I love the taste of those beautiful sweet lips,” The wizard finished his words with a soft but deep kiss on his wife's lips before letting out a sweet laugh and pulling back so, she could put the flowers in water, “I’ve missed you,” he mentioned as he waited for her to be done.
