rosie was walking around as she debated on the lyrics she wrote, sometimes just walking around helped her to think of something. but as she looked out to the pool she noticed someone she never thought she would see. rosie had seen her half-sister a few times. but she was far away from home, so she never thought she would see her here. the brunette headed out to the pool to make sure it was her. it would be hard to remind rosie of her mom since her mom abandoned her and not tabitha. “not long..” she said softly.

———– tabby got a better look at the person standing there and smiled . ❛ rosie , is that you ? ❜ tabitha would have loved to grow up with a sister for real ; it was not the same having one that she only got to see on occasion . the female stood up and looked at her little half-sister . ❛ i can’t believe you’re here ! i’d hug you , but i’m afraid i would get you wet . ❜

               Sophia made it a habit to manage by walking around — when in doubt if she was watching the business would HAVE to run smoothly. The pool was too  t e m p t i n g  , the last bit of sun soothing to the skin as she squinted into the water. She felt guilty for a moment, foot having slid out of heel to dip into the warm water. “Oh, not long.” Sophia mused, gaze warm as a small grin tugged at the corners of her mouth. “It’s nice to see that someone is enjoying the water — that’s one of the perks of being in Miami, right ??” 

———– tabby smiled at the other , feet kicking softly in the water . ❛ it is one of the good perks . it beats new york . there are certainly rooftop pools that are nice enough . but certainly nothing as good as this . have you come out here to swim ? swimming in the evening is so much better , my favorite part is when the underwater lights turn on . it makes it look magical . ❜

kam was stuck in the lobby. something about his card key not being ready. he didn’t mind the wait; it gave him time to people watch. as boring as it sounded, as much as he enjoyed meeting new people, he nearly liked silently watching them from afar more. it was his guilty pleasure. after long hours of working with groups at a time and making pleasantries, it was a welcome break to sit back and watch strangers go about their lives. at this hotel, it was a particular treat. his eyes were scanning the area when they met the gaze of another. a winning smile eased over his face. “caught me staring.” 

———– tabitha had found a guilty pleasure in the hotel and club . the same fire within most of the other clients and workers was also inside her . she hadn’t came across anyone who she didn’t connect with on some degree . she was leaning against the counter in the lobby , waiting for a bellhop to help her with the mound of bags waiting just inside the doorway . her gaze scanned the room , falling on a man who seemed to be clocking the room almost , being sure to take in every detail . she walked over to him , placing herself on the seat across from him , her head tilting to the side until he noticed her presence . ❛ indeed i have . have you noticed anything of interest ? ❜ a smile painted itself across her lips , her body leaning forward until her elbows were resting on her knees .

———– the brunette was laying on her back , floating in the water . her eyes were closed , all she could hear was the muffled sound of the water moving against her skin . she loved this feeling ; it was peaceful , serene . she allowed her body to lower until her face was covered , staying there for a few moments until she stood up , pushing the wet hair from her face . she opened her eyes , her gaze immediately falling on someone standing along the edge of the pool . they gave her a little start . ❛ how long have you been standing there ? ❜ she questioned , moving towards the edge of the pool , gripping the sides to push herself up and over , until she was now sitting on the edge , her feet up to her calves still in the water .
