what kind of employee would anna be if she didn’t go and have a drink at the bar afterwards? it wasn’t like her work day ever ended, but she still had time to get drunk and see her friends, meet the patrons that would come through. when someone sat next to her she asked, “take a shot with me?”

“ looks like i’m free for the night. “ ocean eyes drift back from her screen, casting to the person beside her. it was rare that renata didn’t have a client lined up for the night, so she didn’t intend on wasting the brief free moment. “ why don’t we head somewhere and have some fun, huh ? ”

delilah was honestly just glad to get out of the house. not that anything was wrong with living with her best friend -- husband, technically -- it was just that she had never been the girl who was meant to be a stay-at-home wife. especially since she hated doing laundry and there were three loads that needed her attention. so instead of doing them, she put on a bikini and a sundress, heading to the aftershock rooftop pool and sitting down on one of the poolside chairs as she started to pull her sundress off. when she tossed it to the side, it landed on someone, and she laughed a little, reaching over to grab it back. “sorry about that, forgot i wasn’t at home. isn’t this place so... homely?”

     “if you want,” mercury started, voice genuine, affect the same, “i’m happy to listen. i know life’s not always fair. sometimes, things just don’t make sense.” it was a wormhole mercury knew she might regret opening, but she’d had rough days herself. she was no stranger to the frustration.

———– the brunette was laying on her back , floating in the water . her eyes were closed , all she could hear was the muffled sound of the water moving against her skin . she loved this feeling ; it was peaceful , serene . she allowed her body to lower until her face was covered , staying there for a few moments until she stood up , pushing the wet hair from her face . she opened her eyes , her gaze immediately falling on someone standing along the edge of the pool . they gave her a little start . ❛ how long have you been standing there ? ❜ she questioned , moving towards the edge of the pool , gripping the sides to push herself up and over , until she was now sitting on the edge , her feet up to her calves still in the water .

it was the middle of the night, serena’s heavy eyes and heavy head were getting the best of her. she had been dancing, drinking, and partying all night, especially since it was her night off, and she was just getting started. her eyes then laid themselves on someone, some more energy magically coming back to her as she spoke. “oh my god, i’ve been looking for you everywhere...”

this was exactly what serena needed, a full day of relaxation. she was lying down on the beach in her bikini, letting the sun radiate off her skin as she could feel herself totally let go and almost fall asleep.that was until she could sense someone hovering over her, “can i help you?”
