Final Images & Fourth Spread Layout
After multiple trial and errors I began to look at the images and layouts that worked best together. Here are my final images and layouts I have decided to use.
Here are my final layouts. I will have to change the first spread as Ive realised I have used an images twice.
I also change the location of the writing on the fourth spread as it covered the image making the writing unreadable and the photograph slightly hard to read.
pictures inserted in the second possible the fourth spread layout.
I then inserted the images onto the possible layout ides. I really like this layout. However i found many of the images were cut in places making the image slightly less appealing, because of the gutter line
Because I wanted to use one of my portrait images I came up with two more layouts in Indesign that would allow me to use my images. I had to consider using images the images would be effective across two spreads and that would still look good cut down the middle because of the magazines gutter.
Third spread layout possibilities.
I used the golden mean to crop my landscape image to make them strong portrait images to fit into the Indesign layout.
Layout Review
I had quite a few strong landscape images however, the layouts for the three spreads did not include and landscape pictures so I cropped a few of my images to make them fit into the portrait grid.
I shall consider a landscape grid layout when designing my fourth spread.
More image arrangements in the grid.
For the second spread I continued to insert my images onto the grid, arranging the photographs in the best possible way. I found inserting black & white photographs into the two square on the left hand side the hardest. being such small boxes I found a lot of the detail, when I reduced the size, was lost as it was harder to see.
