Not A Fan || Zoey & Taron
Making her way into the event, Zoey tried her hardest to mingle. Part of her hated these events. Sure she liked a good party, but this wasn’t just some after party. This was an industry event hosted by her agency. So even though she saw a few familiar faces of different people represented by the same company, the point of these things were to schmooze. To get the eyes of a director or producer and talk yourself up. Something the red head wasn’t the most comfortable doing. It was all a show, and this was one of the things she disliked the most about the business she was in. But she plastered a big smile on her face and dug in, making small talk with just about everyone her manager and agent had asked to her.
Finally after she felt like her cheeks were going to fall off from smiling so much, she snuck away to the bar. If she was going to continue on with this, she was going to need a drink. Ordering a vodka soda, the girl began anxiously wrapping her fingers on the bar as she waited. “Aren’t these things the worst?” she leaned in, speaking to the person standing next to her. Sure, she probably should have made a better effort to see who she was talking to, but by the back of his head, he seemed too young to be a agent, producer, director or studio head, so she took the chance. But when he’d turned to her, she couldn’t help the roll of her eyes. “Oh, I’m sorry, never-mind. I didn’t realize I was talking to you, Satan.” she quipped. They’d met about a year or two prior and to say they didn’t hit it off backstage was an understatement. At this point, she couldn’t even be all that sure what had transpired, she just knew she didn’t like Taron Egerton. “Forget I said anything.” @tcronegcrton
Life was slowly starting to get back to a resemblance of normal. Not exactly fully, but in little ways. Which meant little events were happening and his publisicits thought it was good for him to get out there. After his split with his now-ex-girlfriend, the self isolation, and a few projects put on the back burner for the foreseeable future. This party was just a test run for an agency that he had had conversations with since a lot of times they’d partner with them depending on different projects. Wasn’t exactly something he was going to deem a good time. But it came with free booze, and a Welsh man never turned down drinks. that’s just how it went. So he dressed in a nice suit, went and made small talk, a lot of people showing him attention. Not that he was surprised, with Rocketman had come a lot of press surrounding the man.
With a drink firmly in hand he talked to an up and coming producer who was interested in him reading his project. With a half-hearted promise to look it over her made his way back to the bar, needing another drink. He’d give it another hour before retiring to the hotel room and ordering take out. A voice filtered through the hair, “Worst.” He gruffed, his Welsh accent coming out far thicker than intended mainly because he had been caught off guard. A bite to her tongue caused him to roll his eyes, “Good come back, what’s next? Going to sing a child’s song of how mean I am?” Taron snapped before taking the filled scotch glass. “Long but forgotten.” he murmured heading off away from the bar, he didn’t need her aggravation. “I don’t need someone else to make my night more unbearable and you fall under that category.”
