i think you've worded that pretty well. because yeah, it is a very conflicting feeling. it's both โ flattering and scary. because you're right, she's an icon, but i am also my own person. so, i try to not let it get to my head too much. remind myself that just because some people see britney when they watch me on stage, doesn't mean i am anything like her. kind of takes the pressure off a little. like i've still got my own choreography, i've still got my own style of performing my songs. i wrote my own songs and i think lyric wise, they're going in a whole different direction than she did. it's just the vibe that takes people back to the early 2000's and that's okay. it's pop. you're kind of bound to that and can't really go into the dramatics compared to other genres. but as long as my work is getting acknowledged as tate and not "britney wannabe", i'm good. i mean, i'm pretty sure you can relate somewhat with you playing elvis, right ? like that must've at least put a little pressure on you ? or are you the kind of guy who's like "it's a role, i'll do my job and once that's done, i won't spend a single second thinking about it anymore" ?
