When you click on a notification that someone reblogged something of yours and their picture pops up and your first thought is “Why is that girl holding my cat?”

So yeah apparently at least one of you has my cat’s twin and that’s honestly really cool and really concerning all at once.

because in some cultures, girls (and boys, of course) still get thrown out of the family because somebody sexually assaulted them.

because they’re still teaching girls to walk faster at night instead of teaching boys that they shouldn’t rape.

Because they’re teaching kids that they’re only male rapists and not female rapists too.

because I have to explain why rape makes me mad.“

So it has been literal months since I checked in.

Some updates:

1. I now have a promising career. In life insurance. Not the most exciting thing but you know what it gets the job done.

2. I’m currently about six months pregnant. I’m having a girl. Her name is Aria. My husband and I are over the moon.

3. I’m still nerding out over every book I can find concerning the Tudor dynasty.

So yeah that’s about where I am right now!
