Succulent emergency

It was touch and go guys I left my babies in my brothers care and he almost killed my sweet baby succulent, i have had to prune off most of her leaves this morning save the new middle growth because the leave had started to get soft rot :’( but my baby is safe I will keep my eye on her and make sure she has enough to drink because my brother was watering her directly onto her leaves in spritz of water so she is dehydrated and unhappy but I have given her a bigger pot to grow in and a good soaking to give her some life and put her safely on the windowsill in the sun for her to enjoy and bring out those gorgeous pink colours she gets.

Tea and comics

Stopped into 222 today after the independent comic book signing day. had a lovely cup of fruit tea and settled down to look at this lovely comic NPC Tea by Sarah Millman. The coffee shop was very interesting my partner had a beetroot and cocoa latte. The comic book signing was really fun met some wonderful artists and writers, Sarah was the one who really stood out for me today we talked about the comics she wrote and her series and we then talked about games which were a lot of fun finding someone who has similar interests as me who is also amazingly talented is such a wonderful thing.

Bee stings

So if you do get stung by a bee, you just gotta stay calm, take a deep breath, then take out the stinger and get baking soda and a bit of water and rub it on, adding honey will also help cause it has antiflamitory bacteria in it, so just remeber to be safe.

Tea Review!!!

Good evening everyone, after being up for 32 hours with still at least one more to go until bedtime I have decided to write a review for Twinings Mango and Strawberry tea. My partner made me this tea while we were waiting for supper to cook and it is a very yummy tea. 

Twinings have once again made a very pretty tea, the packet is a little red one with a yellow middle, the decor is very good looking on the small packet with little flowers branching off some of the letters. The tea itself looks wonderful, this one comes in a bag so easy to seep, it has a lovely red colour to the tea inside the bag. Once seeped the red of the strawberry is the most powerful, the tea has a lovely deep red colour it is an all round very pleasing tea on the eye.

When it comes to the tea itself it has a rather weak flavour, this does have the added benefit of making it very refreshing as it feels like drinking a warm water with just a hint of strawberry and mango. The aftertaste on this one is much stronger you can really embrace the flavour of the tea as it lingers in a pleasant way. When drinking this tea it feels very soothing it is has a nice heavy texture that actually provides it with an almost creamy feeling to it.

The smell of this tea is delicious, you can really pick out the mango and strawberry, while I find the scent of strawberry is slightly too overpowering leaving a slightly uneven balance this doesn’t take away the enjoyment you can get from opening it and revelling in the sensory stimulation this tea supplies. 

Again as with the other Twinings fruit tea, this one can just be left in the cup and it will blend very nicely giving you a fruity refreshing tea, I also feel this one benefits from being left as just tea leaves and water as it is sweet enough to provide a lovely treat. While this one is weaker then some of the other fruit teas I feel that this too may benefit from cooling and mixing with ice for a refreshing summer treat, one that would be greatly appreciated on the hot summer days we are currently having.

Bee Friend

Let me tell you about bee friend, he is good friend. I was having a little nap after my run earlier and i was woken up by what sounded like a helicopter landing in my room, i looked up and this really big bee friend was hovering by my window just checking the room out like yo you got any plants in here i am after that sweet nectar but unfortunetly i only have succulents in my room and smellies (which probably drew him in in the first place)  but he was like ah cool man sorry just checking i will be on my way how and just left again but i swear this bee friend was so big like as big as my finger and so chubby he was a little fuzzy ball of happy <3

Plant care today my little baby had another water its been 4 days since the last good soaking as they like to dry up before a good soaking again, she also had a wash to get the dust off her leaves, I haven’t named this one yet but looking for a name for this little girl, suggestions are very welcome.

Twinings Strawberry and Raspberry Tea Review.

It has been a long week already with training every day running four miles and eating healthy so even though it is only Tuesday it is definatly time to relax and write a tea review. 

The first thing I must say about this tea is how pretty it is not only the box but also the blend itself, when taking the tea out of its pouch (I do enjoy individually pouched teas they go well in my tea box) the colour of the tea in the bag its very nice to look, looking at the tea you can see the peices of fruit that flavour the tea. Another visually pleasing aspect of this brew is that from the get go Twinings makes sure you know that the tea is made with all natural flavours, for me this is very important, I like natural when looking for my teas and knowing that the materials used inthe making of the tea is sourced with their sourced with care promise really helps when I am making my decision on tea. Once brewed the tea takes on a lovely red colour, it is a very deep red so much so I cannot see the end of my spoon through the tea.

Flavour is very full, the strawberry is very sweet which is perfectly offset by the tangy raspberry that gives it a bite, I take mine without any sweetener or sugar but if you would rather have a sweet touch to the tea I would recommend 1 or 2 tea spoons of sweetener depending on preference. When brewing the blend I enjoy leaving the bag in the cup while drinking to get the most out of the flavour this does make the flavour strong, however Twinings recommend on their packets for the best flavour to brew for 2-3 minutes, while this works on some blends like their green teas the fruit teas I feel benefit from a long brew. I also feel this tea would make a a good cold drink, brewing a pot and letting it go cold then mixing in a jug with some ice would make a refresing summer drink especially for parties. 

The smell of the tea is amazing its so summery and fruity, one that would make you feel warm and uplifted even when the weather outside is drizzly and miserable. When the blend is removed from its packaging you can smell the notes of the strawberry, once brewed it smells amazing fills the whole room better then any scented candle. 

The tea itself is very smooth, one might even say creamy in texture it feels heavy and full on your tongue and slides nicely into your stomach. Its a great tea to relax with as it has a deep warming feeling to it and the fuitiness gives it a refreshing boost. this tea is perfect both for evening and for early mornings. I feel relaxed and clear headed as well as refreshed and revived. I even feel that another 4 mile run might be in order after this refreshing delight.
