So, looking at what’s been going on in the new chapter I can’t help but think about what it could hypothetically mean for the Mikes.

Spoilers for chapter 5 under the cut

So, I wonder if the reason the Mikes are the way they are is because they spent so much time running shows while Asgore was sleeping on the couch.

Is the reason that Battat is obsessed with conspiracy theories that he watched Asgore obsess over things? I think the reason Kris strongly dislikes looking at Battat’s board is because it reminds them of their dad. Is Maybe Battat needing to solve the Mike mystery is just another example of the Dreemurr family’s trauma manifesting in the dark world?

Asgore clearly adores cowboy shows and Jongler is definitely a nod to friend inside me, but what if they are also meant to directly tie in with what Asgore likes?

My take on Pluey is a lot less solid than the other two, as I largely just want to point to the connection of Asgore having a beloved cat figurine (Mew Mew) and Pluey’s preference to being viewed as a cat. I guess Pluey also has the strongest preference on how he’s perceived too since he gets so very sad when you call him Cat Mike, which parallels Mew Mew’s desire to present as an ideal version of herself.

Just a random thought I figured someone may find interesting.

Chrono Trigger won this particular art poll effortlessly which was delightful to watch on my side. I have so many fond memories of playing this game in my long ago teen years, listening to the alt station on the radio and hunting Nus in the woods for magic XP.

Painted my favorite characters and got way too into this! Something about doing little sketch pages helps me free up my brain to think about shapes and layouts more than I do the rest of the time.

I don't fucking care if it is the concept artist using the generative AI to "help with their concepts and mood boards." THEIR JOB IS CONCEPT ARTIST. They should be doing their job, not a computer algorithm trained on stolen art. Am I fucking insane? How is this an argument.
