Reflecting on Inkotober 2017.... I learned a lot. 🧐 I learned how to push on even if you feel like your art sucks. That sometimes you need to leave it, accept what you hate about it and move on, and some times you just need to redo a piece for the sake of your perfectionist side. 😏 I learned to pay really close attention to things I suck at *cough*hands*cough*... 😳And to keep doing the things I like if they are getting me the results I want! I’ll be much happier sticking with what I know I like, rather than trying to force my art to be something it is not. And also, yes. Inktober really is a challenge. Inktober | Day Thirty One • Prompt | Mask • Theme Song | "Hold My Heart" by Lindsey Stirling. ➿ At last! We made it! I do love how the final piece of this challenge turned out, and I’m glad. It was tough to make it through I think I would have been pretty disappointed with myself if the last piece hadn’t shown some improvement!! Which I think it does, so I’m very happy about that. Inktober | Day Thirty • Prompt | Found • Theme Song | "We Found Love" by Rhianna. ➿ugh. I hate this one. I think the figures are too abstract and that’s just not my style. I was going for some aliens in space finding a special “sacred love” galaxy pool. I so don’t think it worked. 🙄 I tried four times to get this picture right which is why it ended up crappy because I forced it out instead of scrapping the idea and starting over with a new concept. Inktober | Day Seventeen • Prompt | Graceful • Theme Song | "She Moved Thru’ The Fair" by Celtic Women. ➿This one ended up a bit of a cheat. 😅 I only inked portions of it, because I had to use watercolours for the cherry blossoms. I didn’t have the right colour pink for the petals, so I used watercolours for the blossoms, and the lake water. 🌸 I added black ink to some of the left over blue pigment and used it for the swan as I wanted the feathers to look a bit blue-ish, not just straight grey. 🕊 I am really happy with how this looks, and FYI ~ water colours are so much easier to work with than ink washes... 😑 I’m actually really excited to get back to watercolours after Inktober! ➿ #teacupgirl #inktober2017 #inktoberday17 #illustrationart #illustratorsoninstagram #themesongs #inkdrawing #celticwomen #musicart #swans #swansongs (at ลาบแป้แห่ระเบิด)
