White Snow - White Drinking Chocolate (250g) - Tea Journeys

White Snow chocolate powder is made from a recipe of pure cacao butter. The Cacao oils are separated from the pulp giving it the consistency of chocolate but without the shades of brown we instinctively know as "chocolate". Typically these light styles of Oolongs reign from Anxi county in Fujian. As part of our ongoing partnership with The Hutong running student tea education programs into Southern China, we continue to seek out some of the most notable Oolongs from all around the country. We cupped and sampled so many Oolongs over the last 7 years in Fujian. The more we cupped the more we acquired a taste for the more interesting Oolong notes discovered in these 'out-of-the-way' hilly retreats nestled up in the mountains, hidden away valleys largely occupied by the Hakka. So enjoying our light Oolong tea is like taking a trip with us into these hidden mountain top tea farms, settled by the Hakka around the incredible Tulou - or earthen walled fortresses - the homes of the great "Guest Peoples" of China.

Mountain Green Tea - Tea Journeys

This is our most affordable Green tea for daily drinking. It is a great tea for its price for those who can't get enough Green tea but can't splash out on a daily supply of the top shelf tea. That is not to say that this is low grade tea, in fact it is a lovely spring picked Green with a warming aroma yet sweet melon taste and long finish.

This tea is sourced from an area of Zhejiang that is famous in Chinese history for producing some of the best teas ever made. The artistry and skill of the Southern Chinese in producing these fine liquors is astounding. The care and detail that goes into each stage from picking, to drying, to rolling and finally oxidization, is as much an art form as it is science. PROCESSING METHOD

This black tea is picked from an area of SriLanka at a higher elevation. The teas are picked, then withered for a lot longer than other types of black tea, to allow the moisture content to be naturally expelled. The leaves are then exposed toa rolling process to bring the“Tea Juices” to a certain standard. The final process is to stop the fermentation process, which prevents the leaf from further oxidisation.
