I’m almost done with my second playthrough of Fatal Frame 2 Remake and I do enjoy my time with it but it also perfectly incapsulates the biggest issue with modern Fatal Frame being way too pretty to be scary (like for example the wraiths just being conventionally attractive people with some scars and blood for the most part instead of the fucked up abominations from hell like in the original trilogy). I dunno maybe it’s the combination of being desensitized and having played the original but I wasn’t scared once or even a little tense while playing which is a bummer. The remake being way to easy even on nightmare difficulty compared to the original is probably also contributing to that.

#I just hope they’ll green light Fatal Frame 6 and that it’s actually good.#no shade to maiden of blackwater but my love for that game comes from it being my teenage cringe it is really bad #Also I posted this a second ago how tf does this post already have a mature label???
